Worst experience I ever had shopping for wedding dresses here. The staff is aweful and rude. They were impatient and didn’t seem like they wanted to help me find a wedding dress. I don’t recommend this place to anyone! They should be shut down. I don’t know why there are still in business. I give this place a thumbs down and a spit in their faces. I will never refer anybody to this business. Your better off looking at bridal exclusives.

Save your self the time and effort! Just go to Charlotte’s!
I am a bride from out of town so my dress shopping was packed into two very full days, with Tower being the last place I stopped. I had called in advance and checked that they had a specific dress I was looking for. At the time I made my appointment I gave the woman on the phone the exact designer and style number.
When I arrived today, wow was disappointed. The older woman who «greeted» my bridesmaid and I was short, and unwelcoming. When I told her I had an appointment she scoffed. I informed her that I had called about a specific dress to which she rolled her eyes and sighed. And here is where I should have known to simply walk out, I misspoke on the designer of the dress, but after cramming wedding dress shopping into two days I was a little tired, you would have thought I told her I was going to eat her puppy. Instead of asking me to check again she told me I was wrong that they never told me they carried the dress I was looking for and that they never have. One would think that if a Bride calls about a specific dress it would be who of them to mark it on their calender or something. After I corrected myself she barged out from behind the desk and grabbed the dress off the rack followed shortly by a look around and pick out what you want. In all the times I have been with friends to dress shop and in my experience at other bridal shops never has the bride or myself been told to look around and choose what you want. Not only is that a completely over whelming feeling to a bride but it is also tactless.
Every dress looks the same in those big old plastic bags… I selected two other dresses and then was informed that I would have to wait for Brenda to arrive to try on my dresses. Thankfully we were also trying on bridesmaid dresses so we selected a few more and waited. Brenda arrived just at my appointment time, which I was early for. While Brenda was kind, she did not help me into the gowns, only tied me or zipped me up. If you have ever tried on wedding dresses you know how hard it can be to get yourself into some of these dresses alone.
At my appointment I was told things like «this dress will never fit you», «your bridesmaid choices are rather interesting arnt they» among other honestly tactless and down right rude statements.
To top off this appointment the older dark haired woman who first spoke with us, sat at the front desk for over and hour on a personal phone call chatting it up and yelling to Brenda while she was helping us about how the person on the other end just bought a house in California with no air conditioning. HEY LADY… NO ONE HERE CARES!
If you want personal service, a smile and honestly helpful Sales people with a knowledgeable staff and a beautiful selection of Dresses. GO TO CHARLOTTE’S WEDDINGS AND MORE! You will not be disappointed,

DO NOT visit this place for your wedding dress. Worst experience I ever had. My friend made an appointment for Tower to try on dresses which we arrived on time. I accompanied my friend along with two other bridesmaids. From the beginning, the old lady had flat affect, asked no questions about the wedding to the bride, just asked her to look around.
When we chose some dresses, as my friend was changing she just barged in gave her the dresses but did not help her with any of the dresses. As my friend commented on what she liked and did not like compared to the other dresses she had seen, the lady answered, «well, if you have seen another one you like then it’s hard to try on other dresses.» of course, as a bride will shop around for dresses but she should have highlighted positive things about her dresses but nothing.
I refused to acknowledge the lady and my friends continued to be courteous. We left and had to hold my tongue not to go off on the lady as she was RUDE!

WHY on EARTH didn’t I check online before going to this place?! *ughhh* They’re awful. I can’t believe they’re still in business. They’re rude, expensive, & customer service is at a ZERO. Be careful here! We ordered our bridesmaids dresses at a shorter length, they assured us we could do so (the dresses we chose were tea length), not only did the dresses come long but after all the girl had been professionally measured, NONE of them fit, and one so small for the bridesmaid she couldn’t get it over her ribs… My wedding dress is ok, just getting it altered ELSEWHERE. It took months and months and months, they use this caveman like system of snail-​mailing you to let you know if things come in (I don’t think they’ve heard of e-​mail yet). I suppose the thing is, it wouldn’t be so bad if they weren’t so… MEAN.
I’m glad I’ll never have to go back and I’ll be sure to warn all of my clients (I work in the wedding industry).

WORST RETAIL EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. I wish I could say reading these reviews are bad enough, but we were so discusted with Tower Bridal that we had to go as far as consulting a lawyer. There were numerous problems that happened, including dealing with the witch of an owner, but the big huge thing that almost ruined our wedding happened as follows; a week & a half before my wedding day I was scheduled to pick up my newly altered, cleaned and pressed wedding dress. Not only was it not ready, but it was DIRTY! It had pit stains, dirt smudges and TEARS under the bust. Now how does a brand new, pricey wedding dress that has only been worn by me once to get it fitted be dirty and torn? They pretended like they didn’t know what happened, but we made sure to take pictures. Then they proceeded to argue with me about getting the alterations done, and cleaned in time. They were saying none of these things were included in the price, even though they had written down that alterations, cleaning and pressing were free. The owner claimed, although she was the one that wrote the contract, that the wording wasn’t clear enough, so we wouldn’t have to pay for cleaning, but the alterations and pressing I had to pay for. This was on a wednesday, and they were saying they couldn’t get the dress to the cleaners until the following monday, for reasons unknown to me. So we had to call the cleaners, make arrangements with them after explaining the situation, and make sure it all happened promptly. It was so scary because this was a week and a half before my wedding, and I still needed to put a pettycoat in the dress, which we had explained to Tower many times. Obviously this was the worst retail experience of our lives, and don’t walk, but run the other way if you were thinking of going in there. Terrible.

I’m surprised by the bad reviews. My salesperson, Cherie, was really nice without being pushy. I didn’t end up buying my dress from this store, but it did have my second favorite dress. I think there’s a decent selection, and maybe everyone should just ask for Cherie when they go there to get great service!

Can I say negative stars please? I made an appointment a week ago and was surprised their whole was open. I am not surprised anymore. The older lady, mean white haired (remember!) didn’t look for my name on the appointment book, nor did she care that I just wanted to try on dresses. She was thoroughly annoyed that my wedding date was two years from now, but she didn’t know if I had money at that moment! She was cold, and didn’t explain much. She said «just so you know, these dresses aren’t going to be here in two years» and then why wouldn’t they be since you should have new merchandise anyhow!!! I know wedding dresses work. Don’t give me BS. And then she says «here are the sale dresses. We can’t change the color or the size, but we can order the size and NOT alter them» MORON! At least the sweet release of death is not far for her. Don’t go here. They are horrible.

Where are the negative stars?! Don’t go here unless you want to be DISAPPOINTED! The staff here is rude! I accompanied my friend to shop for her wedding dress and bridesmaind dresses and was shocked at how awful the staff was. She followed me around like I was a criminal when I was trying to find wedding dresses for my friend to try on. My friend described the type of dress that she was looking for and the lady came back with the UGLIEST dresses ever! It was such a waste of time!
The bridesmaid dresses we wanted were much cheaper here and we made a HUGE MISTAKE by ordering them here. The lady didn’t take the measurements correctly and ended up ordering two dresses that were too big. After much complaining, call backs, and talking to the owner, they agreed to alter it free of charge. Luckily, the alteration was done through a second source.
They need to hire younger and friendlier staff!

TOWER BRIDAL IS THE WORST. I purchased my dress for my wedding, and granted they had the dress that I was looking for and it was reasonably priced, however their customer service is lacking.
When I had asked the sales girl to help me with my accessories, she did not like the extra effort needed to be put forward. When I went back later to pick up my dress and schedule the fittings, I saw the file in which all of my documentation was contained. On the cover the sales girl wrote: «I do not care for this bride and went on to write several untruths …» I was so embarrased I cancelled all of my appts for fittings. (even though they were included in the cost of the dress — I would rather pay extra and go someplace else!)
I would encourage all brides to save them selves the stress of shopping here.
I am suprised they are still in business…

Holy Shit. I have NEVER had such a completely, mind-​blowingly terrible experience shopping before. They are nicer and more helpful at the Ross at Lloyd Center. And that is saying A LOT.
We had an appointment to try on bridesmaids dresses on a Friday afternoon, apparently their last appointment of the day. We showed up a good 10 – 15 minutes early due to less traffic then we expected on the roads. We walked in and they rudely asked us what we were there for and told us if we thought we’d be able to try on dresses that day that we were WRONG. WHOA LADY, FOR REAL? So we said «uhh we have an appointment.» The two quote-​unquote SALES people half-​assedly checked the schedule and begrudgingly allowed us to touch their ugly dresses.
We were looking for a couple specific dresses that we’d seen online and had called in advance to make sure they had them. We asked about them and they just kind of looked at us and gestured to the general area where they MIGHT be. We found them after hunting for a while. When we dared to look at one that didn’t come in our colors or something they we very quick to snatch it out of our hands. They did not help us try anything on, they did not put it in the room for us, they did not offer to write anything down (until we asked to borrow a pen and paper!). They laughed at some of our choices (hey we were just trying different things…).
And then came the most disrespectful thing of all. One of the hags said «I want to see what you think about this color combination that this bride ordered– her dresses just came in, let me show you.» She presented to us a dress that was, granted, pretty clashy. We told her that, no, we didn’t really like it, and she went on and on bashing the ugly colors. It was so backhanded and immature– seeing what we would think and knowing she thought it was hideous, all well dissing a client who paid probably at least $ 150 for each dress.
Do not even think about going here. I cannot believe such nice designers allow them to sell their dresses. I’m still tempted to write to some of the designers and tell them about our experience… it was seriously mind-​blowing…

DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! I didn’t look at reviews before I came here and actually ended up ordering my dress, BIG MISTAKE!!! I ordered my dress a year in advance, because I tend to be a little over the top when it comes to being prepared.
Well, that didn’t matter, my ship date was to be in October 09′, didn’t get the dress until Dec and guess what? WRONG DRESS. I was given a new ship date for March 10′. I get a call yesterday from Lynda (store manager everybody!) asking me if I remember what my dress looked like because she just wanted to make sure they order the right one. It took a moment to sink in and I called her back to find out why it was being reordered, when it should have been ordered in Dec. «Well, it looks like the warehouse just found the order and we have to re order it.» My new ship date was to be in July!
I had to tell her I wasn’t going to leave without a refund so she grabs my card, throws my contract at me and finally grants my request. With the economy the way it is, I am very surprised this place is still in business.

BUYER BEWARE! I did not look at the Unilocal reviews for this business before I decided while I was up in the Portland area to purchase shoes and a tiara from this place. I wrote on the sales slip that I needed both items by a certain day even though my wedding was 5 weeks away from that date. I did this because my family members could pick the items up for me and bring them to me in California. Also, I am a total planner and I do not want to stress about the arrival of items the week of my wedding.
My shoes: I ordered Grace shoes. They did not have my size in stock. The sales person told me to try other shoes by the same maker to figure out my size. When I got the shoes (by my original due date) it did not fit. After talking with the manager of the store, I was informed that they accept exchanges of all shoe brands but Grace shoes because the manufacturer will not take them back. I was never told I could not exchange the shoes while I was shopping. Hello sales person — If I am guessing at my shoe size, don’t you think a responsible sales person would tell mention that brand of shoes cannot be exchanged? So, I was SOL and ended up buying the same shoe in a size that fit me from Trudy’s in San Jose.
My Tiara: Part of the reason I didn’t write my Unilocal review once the shoe incident happened was because even though I requested my items for a date 5 weeks in advance of my wedding, I did not get my tiara. When I called, I was told, «don’t worry you will get it by your wedding, even if we have to fedex it to you.» What? I was promised a certain delivery date when I paid for the item. So I could not do any hair trials with my tiara. I got my tiara 5 days before my wedding. Ladies, you all know the week of your wedding is crazy and the last thing you want to be worrying about is if your stupid tiara will make it on time.
Thank you Tower bridal for making this my most miserable wedding experience with a vendor. You stressed me out and cost me an additional $ 130 because you wouldn’t exchange my shoes. Your sales person should have mentioned this before she scored the sale. On top of that, an employee told me over the phone that I should have not ordered the tiara if I didn’t want to cut it so close to the wedding! Instead, she said, I should have bought the nasty bent one that everyone has tried on in the store!
I am so glad I did not buy my dress from this store! What a complete nightmare!!!

Awful! Awful! Awful!
My mother and I were out wedding dress shopping. We left the first shop feeling a little unsatisfied and decided to try one more. Tower Bridal was close by and I knew they were open. We got in the car and I called to make sure we could get in to try on dresses. The woman on the phone was extremely cold and unenthusiastic.
I said, «Hi, was hoping to come by and take look at some dresses. do I need and Appointment or can I just walk in?»
She said «Well if you want to try on a dress you need and appointment,»
I said «Okay, do you have anything available in the next 15 minutes?»
She said «No you can come in at 3:30.»
I said «great,» and ended the conversation. I could tell that this was not going to be pleasant.
We showed up at about 3:10. The shop was completely deserted except for the two sales ladies. As we walked by I saw one was reading a book and hardly moved to greet us. She said «how can I help you.» I told her we had an appointment but were early and could we just browse. She just stared at me and finally said sure. We looked around and they seemed to have a lot of dresses.
Then the other sales woman came out. she was just as straight faced as the other girl. She asked when the wedding was and what I was looking for. And instead of helping me she just said I could pull whatever I wanted and and hang them on a rack. I did so and when I was done she pointed me to a dressing room.
Now I have been to a few places and they always help you get in and out of the dresses. I finished undressing and waited. When it became apparent she wasn’t going to help I came out and asked if she was going to help. She was like «well if you need help…»
She came in and I immediately wished I had just done it my self. She smelled so awful. She had the worst BO ever!
The dresses did not fit right and they did not have clips to hold the dresses on. Now I am not a skinny girl, but I am not extremely overweight either. I wear a size 9 – 10. And this sales lady had the audacity to say «none of these will fit you you are probably a size 16» I could not believe it! She was fatter than me!
That was about it. I just told her that none of the dresses I picked out were right and we got out of there.
I will definitely not be recommending them to anyone. Try Aria downtown. They are amazing!

I went in sunday afternoon with my friend who is recently engaged to try on wedding dresses, she’s never tried any on before so this was an exciting experience for her.
After being very cooly greeted by the owner of the store, she called a sales girl up to help us (who was FABULOUS), and informed us that even thought they didn’t close for an hour and we were the only clients in the shop– she only had 15 minutes to try a dress.
After looking through the racks and finding a gown the newly engaged bride wished to try on (under the 15 minute window) the owner decided that no she couldn’t try the dress on. (Her exact words were,“Oh look at the time, I guess that wont be happening”)
My friend (from Seattle) humored them and filled a card with her info out and we walked out vowing to never go back. Which is unfortunate for this shop as my sister is getting married this year also.
We promptly went to David’s Bridal where we got amazing service and my friend was allowed to try on several different styles of dresses just to get an idea of what she liked and what looked good on her.
I bought a veil and ordered bridesmaids dresses from this store 4 years ago and distinctly remembered the lack of customer service after we left. As a shop that’s catering to bride’s who are approaching their special day, you would think the owner would realize that bride’s don’t need this shop, they can go to Charlotte’s or a number of other stores, this shop needs the brides to succeed.
And with the owners cool, aloof, and downright mean demeanor, I will never be setting foot in this shop again. She needs to take a page out of her sales girls books and learn to be kind, open, warm, and not a witch!

I have been with a number of friends dress shopping and there seems to be a constant theme in bridal stores: excellent customer service. Tower Bridal seems to have missed that memo…
Two unfriendly women failed to greet us, so we introduced ourselves and said we had an appointment. They barely smiled, grabbed the dress they’d set aside for her, and silently led my friend to the dressing room with her dress. They asked if she had a strapless bra, but then left her alone in the room. They didn’t offer to help her get into the dress and she had to call to her sister in to help her.
When she came out, the girl clipped her up and barely said a word to her. She offered no comments about how she thought the dress looked nor did they suggest other dresses to try on. It was an extremely awkward experience and we all walked out, promising never to go back.
