The Spa Upstairs

I received a gift certificate from a dear friend for The Spa Upstairs. I decided to use it for a series of massages and luckily found Beth. She worked miracles with so many of my issues, from migraines to TMJ. I’ve really never experienced such an intuitive therapist who is strong but gentle, beyond skilled in her profession, and a genuinely lovely person. She’s ABSOLUTELY the BEST!

Christie is wonderful and gives the best facial I have ever had! My best friend and I first tried The Spa Upstairs after finding a Groupon for facials with Christie and have gone back every chance we get. She not only gives a wonderful facial, she gives a fantastic neck, arm and hand massage while your face mask is on. I have had other facials that have always made my sensitive skin break out, that has never happened here, even with her doing extractions. She also used such great products on me I started using some of them at home. I just want to be clear, she never tried to tell me about or sell me these products, I asked because they were so perfect for my skin. I am definitely a life long customer.

I am not kidding. Christee is the best esthetician I have ever had (and I’ve had a lot of facials). I live in Seattle and come to Portland nearly every week for work. I make it a point to see Christee once a month. My best friend HATED facials until she met Christee. Now she joins me monthly. Christee is professional, educated, experienced and makes you feel incredibly comfortable (not to mention relaxed). Pricing is competitive — not that it matters because I would pay double for her. There is ample parking in a lot across the street and I have never had to wait for my appointment. If you want recommendations, Christee will offer them, but she doesn’t push «upsales» or try to sell her products. I can’t say enough good things!

This is a wonderful place to spend an afternoon. I’ve had several facials here and have always come away glowing. Ali was trained at Euro Institute and she gives the full «Euro» treatment. I wish I could afford to go more often.

My BFF’s and I wanted to have a spa day. We try to do one at least once a year. During one of our Spa Day’s we met Christee, at another spa. Christee now has her own spa and are we ever happy. She has created a wonderful oasis of calm and bliss. The spa space is really beautiful. Part of the experience for me is the atmosphere. She gave us the whole spa for our party! She was great at helping us schedule all of our treatments and rotating us so that there was time in between to socialize. No one was ever left sitting alone waiting for thier next spa experience. We had massages, facials, mani’s and pedi’s the works. We sat around in comfy plush robes that she supplied and nippled on great treats, there is a kitchen area that allowed us to set up our wine and nibbles. Christee and her staff waited on us hand and foot! No pun intended. And yes Christee is very good at facials. I have been getting facials for years, the products she uses are very high end.
Everyone was glowing and so relaxed by the time we left. This was such a wonderful day and Christee made it happen for us.

I had been looking for a nice day spa and I found it at The Spa Upstairs. Had a wonderful facial and pedicure. Nice environment without the arrogance of some day spas. Very clean. Christee was professional, knowledeable, friendly and fun. Their prices are competitive. Gift certificates available. Parking is always a bit of a challenge in Hillsdale, but that doesn’t detract from The Spa. I will definitely go back again.

I came here with a Living Social coupon, and I am so glad I did. I would recommend her facial to anyone. I love facials, and will deal with the love/​hate relationship I have with extractions (hurt so good kinda mantra). But her experience with extractions is evident, because while it was uncomfortable, I wasn’t dying for her to finish and counting seconds in my head. She is very skilled, and has been in the industry for 14 years.
She is very detailed when it comes to looking at your skin and gave me some great suggestions for my problem areas.
The spa is updated, nicely decorated, and quiet. She is just so friendly, and it was so easy and relaxing to be here.
I am moving to California in the near future, and I kind wish I could pack her up and bring her with me. Seriously folks, she provides a fantastic facial. My skin looked amazing afterwards, when often times post facial, it looks red and splotchy. I went shopping afterward, and even with no make up on, I received 2 compliments on my skin. That’s all Christee’s work. Even as I type this my face still feels amazingly soft and looks perfect.
Check out the website for other services provided in her spa. The pedicure area looked very relaxing too! Considering the work she puts into providing quality services, her prices are way too reasonable. Seriously, I have paid way too much for far less service in other spas. Make sure you give her a great tip.

I’ve been seeing Christee now for nearly 14 years, and she also became a life long friend! She has and always will be my go to for all things skin. I had a facial a couple days ago and it was a wonderful experience. Christee really values her customers and takes the time and concern to address your skin care needs.

I booked a facial and foot soak using a Groupon I purchased. The service I recieved was fantastic. My asthetician was Ali. She was amazing! My skin feels so soft and glowing and I am still completley relaxed 3 hrs later. I will be back! My only very tiny, small complaint is the loud talking and laughing coming from outside our room. It didn’t last long but I was very surprised at the lack of respect for Ali and I during the facial.

My sweet boyfriend bought me a hour facial and half hour Japanese Foot Rub. I made an appointment with Christee. She really loves what she does. The place is great to, clean and soothing. The facial is perhaps the best facial i’ve ever had. I been around the planet and have had facials before, but nothing like this. Christee takes time to cater to you and your needs. She’s very informative and helps you achieve the face you want. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

I had an amazing facial with Ali. I;ve had facials before, but this was one of the BEST ones I have ever had. I felt very comfortable from the moment I met Ali. When I asked questions she explained what she was doing. It was super relaxing. I’m already saving up for my next one!

I won’t go any other place for a pedicure. Christee is very professional, gives good advice (only when asked!) and seems to genuinely love what she’s doing. The space itself is very relaxing and peaceful. You’ll find cheaper pedicures someplace else, but you may also find nail fungus. This is the place to go.
