Is there a zero star option? If you are planning to be open on a Friday night you should probably have enough staff. Waited over 40 minutes for bar food. BARFOOD! Terrible service, slower than slow in the kitchen. Don’t waste your time or money. This place won’t stay open long if they continue to operate like this.

Uncomfortable the entire time. Felt like our business was a burden. Was using the restroom and the security unlocked the door on me. Didn’t knock to see if it was in use. Uncomfortable. Great vibe but weird service.

Service was amazing and the drinks were delish! Super fun environment, pirate themed! And the pool table was free which made me super happy!

My daughter and I stopped by before the Grace Potter show at the Roseland. We just wanted a little something to keep us going through the show. The husband/wife team own the place and they’re great! They were attentive, funny and helpful, not only to us, but I watched the wife as she assisted a couple of people with some disabilities maneuver with their walkers. The husband told me I HAD to try the smoky tomato soup, he was so excited about it — so I did and also had a slider. My daughter had the slider and tots. OMG, the sliders were really good, juicy and tender. Great flavor. The smoky tomato soup was really good. I really liked the owners. They love their business and their customers. The prices are good. I will have to go back and try something else. You really should try this place… I’m sure you’ll love it.

I hate giving low star reviews to places where the paint hasn’t even dried, but I can’t bring myself to click on that third star. They are getting their legs, so its not a well-oiled machine. Not going to go into much detail, just want people to have expectations set appropriately.

Super simple food. Super simple service. Nothing to write home about… The owner(I think he was the owner) made some really good kraut which he kept underselling to us, which then just turned out to be uncomfortable.

Very mellow atmosphere. Good food. Pool table and a great place to hang with the guys. Decent beers on tap, but not amazing. Great staff though!

This place rocks! Amy and Bryan are wonderful, and they completely run the show. They gutted, decorated, and run the bar/kitchen, smoke all their meats, make the food to order(seriously, order the mac n cheese and find out what I’m talking about). Pool is free during happy hour, which is also really great. This spot is a comfortable(and really large) venue downtown where drinks can easily cost you a fortune, but they keep it down to earth. It’s a really great little neighborhood spot.

Stopped in for a post work drink. The gal working, Kelly, was very friendly. The bar is pirate themed, but it’s very subtle. Things like the bathroom being labeled«privy» and a few driftwood pieces. Overall, lovely experience. The bar has only been there for 10 months, and it was a little slow when I went in. I highly recommend stopping in for a burger and a beverage to help out a new business! It is definitely one of the best new spots I have seen pop up in pdx.

My fiancé and I went there for her birthday. What drew me, was the sign out on the street. Since it is called The Plank, as in ‘Pirate Ship’, their sign said: Happy Arrrrgh between 4 and 6. I thought that was pretty funny. Well, we went there and the owner was bartending. It was pretty empty, they must have just opened the doors. We liked the interior design, and the friendliness the owner herself. Drinks are pretty good priced during happy hour, they also serve food. We left about an hour later, but we’ were really happy with the service. I was drinking beer, my fiancé was drinking Jack and Coke. I tried hers, & I must say pretty stiff drinks. Would definitely go back there.

Super accommodating staff with an excellent Happy Hour menu and drinks. Food tasted great and was priced very well. Across the street from a MAX line, and a block from the popular arcade, Ground Kontrol.

Looking for a place to eat before a show at the Star Theatre and was happy to find a place just next door. And even happier to see that they had GOOD cheap craft beer, $ 4.50. We had mushroom risotto that was very tasty, rib eye steak that had good flavor but a little tough in spots, and mac & cheese that was very good with lots of cheese and butter. Prices were very good on the food. Service was over the top and very accommodating, they even let borrow a phone charger. Seating was comfortable and has group gathering booths too. You should give it a try.
