There are several issues I have with this place. Do yourself a favor and walk 2 blocks to the Garden Bar on Broadway to get a much better salad without any price manipulation.
First off, I found a fly in the salad dressing. When I told them, they said «Oh yes, flies like sweet things and get in.»
They also overcharge you for using a GoBox here. The weight of the large one is $ 3.30, but they only take $ 3.00 off, so you are paying them an additional $ 0.30 for every time. They also sometimes «forget» how much to deduct if they don’t think you look like a regular to try and get $ 1.00 or more extra. One time they tried to deduct nothing!
They also charge you extra for using a credit card, and then have the balls to suggest a 15−20% tip for serving yourself salad.

I’m really glad this place exists. I’m always wishing for a healthy fast food option, and this place is both fast and healthy. It’s self service but the checkout staff are polite and efficient.
You can get hot food or cold food (salad). Both taste great!

This place is great! They have a lot of fresh food – both hot and cold choices, and I notice the people who work there are constantly out refreshing, refilling and cleaning the food bars too. The staff are very friendly and it’s great to pop in, grab a salad and head out. Some people may complain that it’s pricey but I disagree – I think for the quality of food, the price is right. If you want a cheap salad then go to Safeway!

As a kid, I used to LOVE salad bars. I loved green salads of all kinds, but I especially loved salad bars with their smörgåsbord of toppings. The Player Zone has all the best goodies that brings me right back to the good ‘ol days: multiple types of lettuce, pickled veggies, cheeses, beans and meats and many prepared salads too. They also have a little hot bar (not so healthy) and California rolls (meh). It’s not cheap, but the place is spotless and everything is super fresh. I pick this place every time over the salad bar at Whole Foods and New Season’s.

Note to self: never go to a self serve salad bar. I was THIS close to going to Morso and getting a delicious salad, but I thought I’d go here to get something more affordable. Ha! My salad was mediocre at best and was MORE expensive than one of the delicious salads I could have (and should have) gotten at Morso.
Avoid the sushi… I had a bite and didn’t feel so hot for a while.
