The Janey

This is a new apartment complex that has been open for just about a year. It has a small number of units that are all quite eco-​friendly. They are also a bit smaller than the traditional American might be accustomed to… but they are quite livable and are perfect for one person.
The building is certified or working on getting it… but I can tell you it is quite efficient. My water, sewer, garbage, etc., runs about $ 20 a month. My electric bill runs about $ 25 a month.
Now for the best part… Location, Location, Location!!! This building is in the middle of it all. It has a perfect location in the Pearl. It is close to everything in the Pearl, close to 23^rd and close to everything downtown. In fact, I don’t own a car because I don’t need one living here.
The garage does have some kind of fancy car-​stacking system. I am not really sure how it works, but it does help put a lot more cars in a small space.
The prices are on par with what you would pay anywhere else.
The apartments are quiet and you don’t hear much of your neighbors.
All in all, this is a great place to live… You just have to be able to snag one of the apartments when they are open… BUT…It was just announced that they are going to be building a Janey II… so be on the lookout for that (probably sometime in late Spring 2014 would be my guess).
