A hidden Retail resource with a super duper selection of rugs, carpets and remnants. Outstanding service professionals. GOOD… yes great deals… and service with a friendly smile.
I love my Zebra Rug… and my PDX floor mats. Because I can change my rugs all the time at these prices!

Awesome place for more affordable fabrics and carpet. The guys at the carpet desk are particularly nice and even helped me find a small piece of carpet to use for reupholstering a cat tree.

This place is great. Maybe not the biggest selection. Maybe not the most attractive displays. Maybe not the easiest place to find. But the best value in the area. In the past six months, we’ve purchased a beautiful, wool (large) area rug for the living room, a custom stair runner and a top-​quality New Zealand wool remnant for the master bedroom and closet. All were super-​good deals, especially the area rug and remnant. Dean and Dave, the two main guys, seem as knowledgeable as they are helpful. Really, it would be a mistake to bypass CMO if you’re in the market for rugs or a runner. BTW, this is also the place to go if you want your house to look like the terminal at PDX.

I went here with high hopes of a bargain as they advertise them with carpets starting at .99sq ft and plus a 20% off coupon on Unilocal (i went on a sale weekend). I guesstimated that there would be bargains of .79 sf foot as per the advertisement but nope. Not really. I got quoted 700 – 900 for my project of 300sf. Guess ill put that one on the back burner for now. Meh.

We needed an area rug and we didn’t have a lot to spend. The CM Outlet is 5 short minutes by car from our home in Milwaukie. They had a nice selection, the staff are polite and knowledgeable (we worked with Dean), and the prices are very reasonable– even compared with online options. My husband and I have very different opinions on decorating so Dean allowed me to «borrow» two rugs to try in our space at home for 24 hours (with a simple credit card authorization). Twenty-​four hours later we owned a gorgeous new area rug that really makes our living room feel warm and cozy.

Professional and easy-​to-​work-​with staff.
Good selection of rugs and custom options.
Reasonable prices.
Try-​before-​you-​buy option (just ask your rep).
Easy return of non-​purchased merch.
Cons:
None for us!

It’s located in the back of the HUGE Mill End Store — a sewers paradise!

Dean helped us pick out carpet for our home and educated us on types of carpet. He promised us it would be installed by Thanksgiving and he worked diligently to make that happen. The installers were very professional and fast! Now we have gorgeous carpet in our home and happy with all the folks at The Carpet Mill!

This is the second time I’ve ordered carpet cut to size and bound from TCMO. The last time was in 2006 and I had pads attached to the finished pieces. They are still great rugs and in use in another part of the house.
I just ordered again and TCMO people were so nice. Lisa helped me. She knew what she was doing, pointed out what to look for, wasn’t snooty about my wanting something inexpensive and worked out the measurements so I’d get the most bang for my buck. Why in the world would anyone spend $ 500+ for a plain 9×12 area rug?
Can’t wait to get my new area rugs!

They have a great selection of reasonably priced area rugs and runners (machine made) at a fraction of the price. Many of the items are also in stock for same day purchases. Also, they can do custom lengths on runners with free shipping to the store.
The staff was knowledgeable, helpful, and patient.
