The 11th Essential

We just relocated to Portland with our two big dogs, to start new jobs. Unfortunately, that meant a less-​than-​ideal temp housing situation for an extended period of time during our house search… the dogs would be cooped up inside all day long. We were so relieved to find Samantha to help us out by giving the dogs a much-​needed midday break!
Samantha was easy to reach via email and responded immediately to our initial request. When we first met her we knew right away she was very knowledgeable in dog handling and behavior. This was very important to us since both of our dogs are reactive toward other dogs; we needed someone who knew how to handle them.
She was able to add us to her schedule right away… in fact, the first day turned out to be a same day request which she was, thankfully, able to accommodate. Since then she’s been working with the dogs on a daily basis, always arriving on time and sending great text updates after each visit. The dogs are happy and relaxed despite their living situation!
Since we will finally be moving into our new house, the daily visits are no longer necessary but we will definitely continue on an as-​needed basis. We also are looking forward to having Samantha take care of the dogs while we’re away on our next trip!

Samantha has been taking care of my 2 cats for a year. Recently I went away for a four day trip that due to a family emergency turned into a two and a half month stay. Samantha has sent me daily emails and Pictures so I feel connected, and sent me packages of what I need while I am gone. Samantha has taken a very stressful situation and made it easier. I recommend her to anyone looking for someone to care for their pets.

It makes me so happy to know that while I am away at work, my dog Tilly is playing at the park with Samantha. I have the pleasure and relief of knowing that Tilly is 100% safe, loved and well cared for. It is very clear that animals are Samantha’s passion in life and I feel very lucky that Tilly gets to be in her care. Samantha has offered me caring and helpful advice in regards to my animals, and even in caring for myself when I was sick. I also mentioned to Samantha that I loved the photos she had taken of her other animal clients, and she offered to take some of my dog and cat. I will now forever have the most beautiful and well taken photos of my animals. I feel VERY blessed to have met Samantha and highly recommend her
services.

I worked with Samantha for five years and now she works with my cat, Z. Z
is my very special special needs cat — she gets sub-​cutaneous fluids
every two days. Leaving town and leaving Z is stressful and
anxiety-​ridden for me. But Samantha has taken the worry away — I get
daily update emails/​texts and always know how my special cat is doing.
