Dear Thai Eastern Cusina, Your food has very little flavor. You try to make up for it by giving me a good amount. I got the pad se ew and it looked delicious. But its like eating a cloud, when you really wanted some cotton candy. HAHAHA. Its whatever. I did not get to Unilocal it before I got it. Now ii wish I had. This is my break up letter to you. With a restraining order as well. Love, Eric

I was surprised to see such low ratings for this cart. Like another reviewer, I ended up at this stand after seeing other people eating here. It wasn’t great, but it wasn’t THAT bad. I asked for my dish to be spicy, and I liked how it had a good amount of heat without being so spicy that it’d be unenjoyable.

So-so flavor but lots of food for $ 6. Vegetarian and vegan options.

It was a rainy night, there were only 3 food carts open. Someone was waiting for food on this one, so I decide to chance it without Unilocaling it first. Oh how I wish I did. Tasteless. Pure«belly stuffer». This is what I get for not owning an iPhone.

not worth it. pretty bad thai food… it’s ok because it’s edible and open when other carts are not but that’s about all the praise it can get.

My teenage son has his own meal clock, which usually means he gets real hungry at about 3PM. So last Saturday as we’re walking to the Portland Market, he declared that he was«starving», and that only Thai food would do. I suppose I should be thankful that he has a pretty diverse pallet in terms of various types of ethnic food that he enjoys. Thai Eastern Cusina just happened to be the most convenient place, at the right time. I had a taste of his Chicken Satay, and we both thought it was OK. And it certainly made him a happy camper for the rest of the afternoon. Maybe next time, I’ll do a little more food cart research and have a more memorable Portland street culinary experience.

I gave this place a shot yesterday. It definitely didn’t dazzle me, but I wasn’t disappointed by it either. It was… filling. Hey, for some people, that’s good enough! For $ 5 it was a fair portion — not as big as Just Thai, a few carts over, but… OK, there was not a lot of zest to the Pad Thai, but it wasn’t a bad item. Just not as terrific as the food at the other two Thai carts on the block. The people working seemed nice, and there was a GREAT covered seating area, and it looks like they’ve dropped their prices a bit too… I’m trying to highlight the positives here, but the truth is that competition is stiff in the cart world, and and these guys need to step it up a notch. Oh little carts. I want you all to succeed. So much yearning.

No es bueno! Ordered the green curry and pad see ew. The curry was mediocre at best and the pad see ew was terrible! It had the ingrediants of pad see ew but tasted nothing like it should. Skip this cart, there are too many good Thai options in the area.

So the cart Middle Eastern Cusina is now called Thai Eastern Cusina. Not a lot of effort put in to that. It was okay, but not the best Thai option on the block. That’s all I really need to say about it.
