I really wanted to like this place as it’s a couple of blocks away from work but I couldn’t even finish half of my meal. I decided to give the crab puffs a try because of the reviews. The first few bites are good the ingredients taste fresh but after several bites I was overwhelmed by the sweetness. I put that aside and went for the pad Thai which I asked for mild spicy. There was no spice, once again I was overwhelmed with the sweetness. The portion was also smaller than most. Service was good but the food I just couldn’t get down. Ended up throwing most of it away.

They are the best. Treated my daughter like a queen today for her birthday. Love the wontons.

Cheap and delicious authentic Thai food! There was no wait at this food truck at 8pm. $ 7 an entrée. I got the chicken pad Thai and it was very satisfying and hit the spot. There was a weird shredded cabbage(salad maybe?) and an eggroll included. Noodles were pretty oily and saucey towards the end but thats typical Thai food. My boyfriend said his pad see eww’s beef was super chewy. Didn’t care for the tom yom soup; I prefer mine SUPER spicy and sour and theirs was just«blegh» with a TON of sliced onions in it. Yuck

My go to Thai place for late at night. Super friendly people who remember you. Large portions. Fresh veggies. Dirt cheap. Too bad they had to move to a spot where they might be overlooked. They deserve tons of business so they stay!

I had to get the pad thai on my first visit here because it’s the standard dish that I use to evaluate all Thai restaurants. It was great! I’ve been on a search for a good pad thai since moving and I’ve found it here! I sauce was great, especially with the added lime juice and vinegar. I love that it’s very saucy, which I soak up with the shredded cabbage and julienne carrots. Unfortunately I was so hungry that I just devoured everything before taking a picture. I would definitely come back to try some more things! I have my eyes on the curry fried rice.

I had a great experience here. I had a late night thai craving, which is fairly regular for me. Usually I just have to suffer through it because everything is closed. But I found Thai Champa on Unilocal and it was open until 3 am. AMAZING. So i drove the 15 minutes hoping for something good. It was fantastic. Service was pleasant. The man who took our orders was kind and talked with us for a while asking us questions. We also weren’t charged extra even though I got chicken and veggies in my dish. On top of it all the food was REALLY good. I will definitely return the next time a craving hits. The only downside is it’s hard to find in the alley way. We thought it didn’t exist at first. But I promise it’s there. And worth it.

We picked our dinner from this wonderful food cart manned by a wonderful couple — we ordered pad Thai, garlic chicken and basil chicken — our meals came with veggie spring rolls and steamed jasmine rice — the meals were 7 bucks each ~ $ 21 for 3 meals — a lot of yummy food(I have some left over for breakfast) — loved it

Had their chow mein non-spicy with chicken, and it was absolutely delicious. Don’t forget to order their crab puffs, they are amazingly great!

Really awesome Thai food cart on E Burnside, in the parking lot behind/attached to Union Jack’s. An unexpected but tasty find on this drizzly Portland night. Great prices, big portions, and very fresh. Plus the husband/wife owners are really nice!

I know I only ordered chicken and rice but your chicken is not good. It’s dry without sauce. It’s quite chewy and I won’t be back for more. The rice is cold and not even warm. Everyone that got their meal before me had steam coming off of it. I wonder what was wrong with mine?! The owner said I hope you like«that», as if what he served me wasn’t his food or he wouldn’t like it himself. Surprises me he actually served me something so bland in the first place. If nothing else is open, I recommend this place.

For our evening dinner we originally decided on pok pok based on the reviews and word of mouth but stumbled upon this place right by our hotel. It’s a food truck off in the corner run by some very friendly people. I had the pad woon sen with just veggies. It was probably the best Thai dish I ever had. I hated to see the last bite go. Everything was so right about the dish plus is came with a free spring roll. All for 7 bucks! Can’t beat that anywhere. Not sure how good pok pok is but this place had my vote.

Portland is a quieter town so its nice to know that you can actually get some late night thai food. Being a food truck, food is made quickly and cheaply. My friends and I called in our order. 15 minutes later, it was ready. There’s a small parking lot in front. Be prepared for the levels of spice. This place is no joke! We ordered medium and im no stranger to spice, it actually made me sweat. Pad thai and fried rice were classic. The spicy eggplant was not soft enough for me so thats why the 4 star rating.

I’ve come here on many a thai noodle craving. The couple that owns this place is very sweet. I love the friendly service, delicious noodles, and that they’re open so late! FOOD Pad kee mao for the win: Really nicely spiced! I loved how the heat of the medium spice also complements the flavors of this dish perfectly. It’s like the spice was made into it, rather than, e.g., a bottle of siracha poured atop. It’s really too rich to eat the whole thing so just be sure to share or stop yourself if you can. Pad Thai: Too sweet for my taste. Could have used fish sauce or some lime, but very good overall to satisfy a craving. SPICELEVEL(hotter than average!) Order a step lower than you normally would. If you’re into spicy, you’ll probably be happy with«medium.» Any hotter and the meal might be uncomfortably spicy. I have a ridiculously high spicy tolerance & I found the«medium» pad kee mao added the perfect heat. For the average bear, the medium here would be way too hot.

Bombooozala. What can I say. I’ve never been a fan of cart food. Either too little portions(cheapskate) or overly high price. Sometimes just plain old Jane food nothing to brag about. By far this cart meets all or even more of my expectations. Pao Kee Mao and pad Thai is unreal. Big portions for $ 7 bucks. The crab puffs are unbelievable, $ 4 bucks. I highly recommend this place you won’t go wrong!!!

I know I was pretty inebriated when we ate here last night after the Union Jacks strip club but the pad Thai was awesome! They give u a free spring roll for orders over $ 7.00. There’s a little side tent with a propane heater to keep you toasty while you eat. Not a classy place but quality.

I had high hopes for this place due to the Unilocal reviews, and the fact that it’s walking distance from my house. This review is for the panang curry, as that’s all I have had. This curry should not be watery. It should not be electric orange. it should not have peas in it. It had all three! I ended up throwing it out, very disappointed. There’s so many other options in PDX for Thai– Go elsewhere.

At least 3lbs of my body are a direct result of Thai Champa. This food cart tucked into the patio of some random burger shop has been on my heavy rotation since moving to Portland, and though it violates all of my diet rules, I flat out don’t care. I love me some noodles, and dang if this place doesn’t serve up some great ones! I almost always get the pad see ew with pork. I love the big fat noodles(hey, get your mind out of the gutter!) and the portion size is just right. By this I mean it’s way too big and I eat it all anyway. Holy crap am I fat and happy when I eat at Thai Champa. On the side? Either the salad rolls or the crab puffs, please! One thing: Orders can take a while. Like a long while. Unless you’re stumbling home and come across Thai Champa by accident, I’d recommend calling in your order. Even then, you might wait a bit. But I tell you, it’s worth it. This place is my fave.

A full day of hiking led to two starving tourists. Luckily Unilocal came to the rescue and lead us to Thai Champa: a food truck with a LOT to offer. And when I say a lot, I truly mean it. The portions are HUGE! If you want an order of soup, be aware… it comes in a huge container meant to be shared by 2 – 3 people. So needless to say, we were more than satisfied with the quality and quantity of food provided with plenty of leftovers for the next day. Overall…5 stars for the following — amount Of food: you truly get more than you pay for! — friendly customer service — flexible hours: M-Th 11am-midnight: Fri-Sun 11am-3am(yes, those are some serious hours!)

Food: 1) Pad kee mao with chicken(med spicy): Medium spicy is TOOHOT. I think I would have enjoyed this dish more if my tongue wasn’t on fire. From the remaining taste buds I had left, I think I could tell the noodles had a good consistency, the chicken was good and the overall flavor of the dish was pretty good, but it was so spicy I could barely hold it together. 2) Red curry with beef(mild spicy): Delicious! There was a lot of the liquid part of the curry but not enough of the beef and veggies. And they definitely did not give enough rice. One small little chinese take out box? Come on! We need more rice to eat with this delicious curry! 3) Thai iced coffee: pretty good, came in handy when my mouth was on fire. Service: It’s a food truck so you just order and then pick it up when they call you. The lady that took our order was pretty nice. Ambiance: It’s all outside bench seating as this is a food truck. Very casual and a nice place to just hang out. Very nice on a beautiful day outside. Price: Everything came out to be $ 16, which is pretty cheap for Thai food. And you get a FREE eggroll with purchases over $ 7. We figured out that every dish is $ 7 so if you just order something, by default, you should get a free eggroll. Overall: I liked it! I will definitely return, and this time, I will order everything in MILD spicy level AND I’ll probably order more rice to go with the curry. It’s one of the better Thai food trucks around! Worth a try!

I’ll call it the LucLac of the east side. This food cart run by two very nice thai women serves up excellent Thai food right up on Burnside and 10th. The big plus is however their timings, uptil midnight on weekdays and 2.30 on weekends! Wow! I got the chicken green curry which came with a complimentary spring roll. Was very fresh and tasty. And enough for 2.5 meals! Looks like I’ve quite a few options for my late night dinners in PDX!
