I received a p.m. from Pattie, regarding my previous review, apologizing for the oversight and offering me a comped haircut. That is actually really good customer service, and I have to update my rating because of it. Thank you, Pattie. When I do come in for the haircut I can finally write a proper review based on that (and probably a good one, from what I’ve read on all of the other reviews on here). :)

Jonni is one of those rare stylists who gives you a great cut every time. She is not only great with her scissors, but she UNDERSTANDS what you try to explain to her about what you want! The way she works is with you, not to you, and I have never gotten a bad haircut from her. I am sold! Nicest place and nicest lady ever.
I 100% recommend her for a cut!

I went to Statements Salon for the first time last week and loved the experience. All the stylists exude a kindness and the energy is really great in the salon.
Jonni cut and styled my hair and she is just awesome. She really knows hair, so well that she can see the difference of how my hair curls on each side of my head (my right curls up more than my left) and adjust the cut accordingly. And overall, she is a cool, wise person.
I have found my stylist and couldn’t be happier with my hair!

I have been going to Statements Salon for years. My gal, Patti has been cutting and coloring my hair just the way I like it. We have ALL been to hairdressers who tell us what we should do with our hair. Patti and I discuss options and go from there. If you need a warm comfortable place to get your hair done, do a little hair product shopping this is your place. Patti also carries the Miche Handbags, which are very cool! Check these ladies out!

Jonni at Statements Salon has been cutting/​coloring/​perming my hair since 1988! She does a fabulous job of listening to what I want and making suggestions when I’m not sure where I want to go with my hair. She takes pride in what she does, and it shows. She offers to do touch-​ups and follow-​ups on whatever we’ve done to my hair and I’ve never needed to go back to have her fix anything.
She’s very reliable — it’s extremely rare for her to reschedule an appointment and she can usually accommodate if I need to move an appointment. Even when I lived in Salem, I’d drive up to Portland to have Jonni do my hair, and I’d definitely recommend her to anyone!

I was turned on to Statements several years ago by my coworkers. I had hair halfway down my back and was more than ready to let it go. Jonni gave me the world’s greatest short haircut and we were off and running! She is a great listener and able to weave a client’s ideas/​inspiration with her expertise to deliver a style/​cut that not only works in the moment but also grows out well. Speaking of that, we’re now growing my hair back out (and coloring it blue/​black, which is super fun!). I’ve never had a long hairstyle that I’ve liked, so the challenge is on!
Jonni’s rates are incredibly affordable and she always offers complimentary touch ups if something is not right with the cut after a few days (I’ve never had to take her up on it). The salon’s atmosphere is way relaxed and easygoing. No pretense at all, just high quality, down to earth hair management, minus upscale pricing!
