Starbucks

One of the nicest, airy, and beautiful Starbuck’s I’ve ever been in. The gals behind the counter were very friendly and even gave a nice explanation of one of the pieces of equipment behind the counter to my friend. They made our drinks very quickly and they were made as ordered. I will definitely come back by here when I am in the area. :)

This Starbucks is located on South Waterfront in the OHSU Collaborative Life Science Building. The building is right next to the Tilikum Bridge and popular «Orange Line».
Strangely there is not only one but two Starbucks in this building. This one is full size and the other is smaller, more like a stand located in the common area.
This is one of the nicer Starbucks I’ve been to. It’s newer and stays in great shape because it does not have the high traffic that most Starbucks get. Very clean.
Everyone is super nice here and there is always music playing.
They offer all the drinks, pastries, snack boxes, sandwiches and retail items that the other locations have but it appears well stocked because it is never that busy.
The drawback here is that there is no drive through or parking so it caters primarily to the work force, students and residents in the area.

This is certainly an above average location of Starbucks. It is right next to light rail, right next to the economic riches of OHSU, has some power outlets and draws minimal crowds. The traditional grievance about overpriced food at this chain compared to even the high quality markets still stands. Employees here are friendly, while overlooking the urban atmosphere is just wonderful.
I went here to take up some time before my business downtown. The music was a bit loud when it should have been off due to the impression of it being individualized. Their protein box was just wonderful for my diet. It consisted of a deviled egg, two small slices of cheese, a piece of bread with peanut butter, along with a few slices of apples and some grapes. What a well-​balenced meal. Almost by the minute, something — either the streetcar, the train or a bus is traveling by.
This Starbucks is a wonderful addition to the waterfront.

I have been to this location 3 or 4 times since it opened and I have always gotten prompt service and the drinks taste consistently the same, which is sometimes not the case at Starbucks locations. Another bonus is this location seems to rarely be really busy.

There’s two Starbucks here. One inside the new clsb building and the other is outside. They primarily cater to the students of clsb with who are trying to just get caffeinated to get work done.
As I went there for a refill with my gold card they actually told me that I couldn’t leave the premise to get the refill even if it was ordered within two hours.
Starbucks will be Starbucks but I really wish there’s more local coffee shops in this new building. Can we stop supporting corporate big business?
