Speedy Road Service & Towing

I ran into trouble last Saturday morning with a missing wheel lock key on my Lexus. Speedy Road Service & Towing was called on by Lexus Service. They arrived on time, were fast, professional and very friendly. My driver, Alex was a delight to deal with and very professional. I will not hesitate to recommend them in the future.

WOW. What a bad business. They charged me TWICE the amount we agreed upon on the phone. And after calling them repeatedly they still haven’t taken the charge off! So if you want to get ripped off and go through an unnecessary hassle give this company a call. Major suck factor!

My insurance company dispatched Speedy Towing for me on Saturday, July 30. The estimated arrival time was one hour. After they did not show by 1 hour and 20 minutes I was told that the tow truck had broken down and another one was being dispatched and would arrive in 20 minutes. After 30 minutes I called and Speedy’s assured me he would have someone there in 10 minutes. After 20 minutes I again called and was told that it would be 10 minutes. When I reminded him that he had already missed the last couple of arrival times he became angry with me and told me they were busy. It was now over 3 hours since I had been stranded and it was getting dark in a very dicey part of town. After calling another towing company Speedy’s arrived a few minutes later and the driver told me he was late because his dispatcher refused to allow him to fill up with fuel thereby delaying his arrival time. Do not use this company.

Got my car towed yesterday by these guys (was covered by Progressive Insurance) and it was less than impressive. While unloading my car off of his truck the driver neglected to even recognize the presence of breaks and the rear part of my car, obviously, got smashed against the ground really hard. He did not apologize, didn’t even look in my direction afterwards, just gave me back my keys and drove away. I did tip the guy by the way. What a service. Thanks.

Do NOT trust Speedy Towing!!! The owner MIKE stacks calls and tells everyone the tow will be there in one hour or less. When you call for a status report, the answer is ALWAYS «the driver will be there in 15 minutes». After a THREE HOUR wait tonight, the driver called me to get details about where my car was. When I asked why I had been waiting THREE HOURS, he let me know that he had just gotten the call 5 minutes ago! MIKE of SPEEDY TOWING is a CROOK!!!
