Amy came by and offered a cleaning which was a little pricey but with all of the great reviews, I decided to give her a try. The first cleaning was great! Then the next one was good but not as great. The next two cleanings were sub-​par. I called and Amy offered a free hour to come out and re-​do what they had missed. I took her up on it and they filled in the gaps. But the service got bad after that. Its too bad because I wanted to find a service I could keep. I have moved out of the area but wanted to warn others.

Absolutely Professional. Amy is extremely through and friendly. Their are reinventing the house cleaning business model.

Very disappointed you would fire someone because of their pro-​life stance. Shame on you, Amy Boggs.

I’ve been very impressed with Amy and her group of «Sparklers.» They are polite, professional, show up on time and get the job done and done beautifully. There is tremendous attention to detail and a lot of follow-​up before and after a cleaning to make sure things are done right. Amy pays her Sparklers a salary with benefits which I think is probably unusual in the cleaning industry. This assures a good working situation for her employees who in turn bring a great attitude (and great cleaning supplies!) into your home. And they write the sweetest notes after they have finished their «sparkling.»

On a scale of 1 — 10, these guys are an 11. I am so glad I found them. SP has been cleaning my house for a few years now and I can tell you they are consistently meticulous, detail-​oriented, friendly, punctual, professional, and have the highest integrity I have ever seen in a business. I can’t think of enough superlatives to describe them. Amy and her team are worth every penny and more.

We found Sparkling Palaces online looking for a house cleaning service. They were the only locally owned business. Their stellar reviews made them our first pick. We were delighted when a cancellation allowed them to meet our deadline. Wow! Amy Boggs the owner came out to go over all the rooms and explain what would be done. See their checklist on their website. SERVICE. The little cottage was in serious need of cleaning before we paint and move in. Now after 3 sparklers came and cleaned, it is a sparkling palace. Once we move in, we’re signing on for biweekly house cleanings. They are professionals!

Very impressive in every way. Attention to detail, working as long as it takes to reach the required finish, quiet and respectful cleaners all make for value for money. With excellent communications from owner Amy this outfit is simply outstanding!

If you don’t have a nice house, don’t bother. Amy, the owner, gave me an initial quote over the phone «so as not to waste anyone’s time» and as I agreed to her range of possible costs for weekly, and biweekly cleanings, she then came over. She was very nice, and professional, and even wore booties for the estimate, which I appreciated. However, in an obviously passive way of saying «I don’t want your business,» her actual cost was almost twice her original estimate. Her email reply was a very ‘nice’ way of saying «take it or leave it.»
It needs to be stated that I have never had my house cleaned by this company, so I can not comment on their quality of service in that regard. Kudos for her for having so much business she can pick and choose, I suppose. But honesty would have been nice.

we called sparkling palaces to clean our 5000+ square foot home after the previous cleaning company continually missed things, billed us incorrectly, and were a consistent source of headaches.
amy and her team of sparklers have been such a breath of fresh air! not only are they professional, timely, thorough, and reasonably priced — they are such a pleasant group of people to have in our space. they have never missed a clean, are always on time, and are all so friendly and fantastic.
we run a business out of our home, and there are usually several employees working out of our home while the sparklers are here, so having a team of cleaners with positive energy to contribute to the space is amazing. they regularly ask how they can be improving, and are so open to all our feedback: both constructive (which is hardly ever!) and positive.

Casey, the Sparkler assigned to me, came to my house right on time. He had all of his cleaning equipment with him — completely prepared. It was wonderful chatting with someone who is as knowledgeable about cleaning as Casey — I put myself through college cleaning homes so I’m somewhat of a fanatic. It is obvious that Casey really knows what he is doing.
I really liked Casey. He did an amazing job. Given my high standards, that’s saying a lot.
My last cleaning lady — was that in name only. Heaven only knows what she did other than break things, scratch things, chip my crystal and clean poorly. So having Casey do such a fabulous job renewed my faith in cleaning services.

Amy first came by to give me quote she was very professional and quoted me $ 300 for a first time cleaning a little steep especially since our place is about 600 sqft, but our place was pretty messy and dirty so I complied. There after it was going to be 135, still a little pricey but I was really impressed with the first cleaning so I thought it was worth it.
Unfortunately the matienence cleaning thereafter was considerably below the stardard she set. Dusty blinds, unmopped floors, uncleaned tub and bathroom sink. I emailed her to let her know how I was dissatisfied with her companys services and she offered a hour cleaning for free, which I guess is nice but I would of much rather had a well cleaned house the first time.
Anyone have any recommendations on good solid house cleansers?

Still very happy with Sparkling Palaces. They went above and beyond the call of duty when we were out of state to take care of our home. Without them, we would have missed a much needed garbage pickup and would have developed a science experiment in the coffee pot. Instead, we have come back to a healthy, «sparkling» home, ready for guests to arrive this evening.

After a bad experience with another cleaning service who could never show up when scheduled, we decided to try Sparkling Palaces. Out first impression was when Amy came to do the walk-​through and estimate. She was very warm and professional and paid great attention to detail. Our house is older and large, and we have two to three dogs at any given time — so it’s full of fur and dirt! The first cleaning — a «deep cleaning» — really impressed me. I didn’t recognize our house when they were done! We now have a cleaning every other week. The «Sparklers» show up on time and do a very good job. I think there’s only been one time that they were short staffed and had to reschedule our cleaning. Once, one of the cleaners accidentally broke a very small, cheap picture frame. I would have thought nothing of it (accidents happen) but Amy wanted to make up for it by giving us a free «extra» of our choice — so we got a free fridge cleaning! That is how you retain customers! I would recommend Sparkling Palaces to anyone who wants a dependable, thorough cleaning service. They are well worth the price.

We couldn’t be happier with Sparkling Palaces. They are professional and have exceptional attention to detail. Verity goes above and beyond weekly and has quickly become one of our dog’s favorite humans. I highly recommend them, you won’t be disappointed!

Over the last 2 years I have had 4 different cleaning services come to clean my house due to broken ankles, pregnancy/​new baby & now returning to work while husband works 16+ hour days. We’ve had deep cleans, we’ve had maintenance cleans and we’ve had cleaners who come _​highly_​recommended. But none even came close to the attention to detail and thoroughness that Sparkling Palaces brought this week.
We have a funky house — old, patch-​worked wood floors, unfinished baseboards, and exposed 2x4s in the living room ceiling. We also have 3 cats and a dog, so lots of places for animal fur, dirt and dust to settle in. SP did an amazing job hunting down all of that dirt and fur and leaving everything white glove clean. And not just that, but they did more than the surface — like wiping our fridge down and reorganizing our magnets, wiping out our fruit bowl, removing books from the shelves to dust, organizing our cookbooks and even changing the crib sheets.
Verity was at our house right at 8:30am and happily greeted our dog by name! During the cleaning a couple questions came up and Amy contacted me to make sure everything was taken care of to our needs. When I came home I barely recognized my house! Left behind was a sweet note saying how much the team loved our creative/​funky house and not a spec of dirt to be found. Honestly I didn’t want to do anything but sit/​sleep for fear of ruining all of their hard work!
Looking forward to having the team come back and have already recommended them to a few co-​workers looking for a service. If you are really looking for a _​deep clean_​for your home SP blew the other 3 services we used in the last 2 years out of the water. Amy is sweet, responsive and thorough and a pleasure to work with and the staff that came to our house definitely left us happy happy SP clients.

Wow, these folks work hard… and my house really looks fantastic now. Way more attention to detail than the last service I used. They scrubbed the baseboards and they look like they’ve been freshly painted now! I’m extremely impressed.

I have given a lot of thought to writing this review for Sparkling Palaces. I considered writing a personal email to Amy Boggs to express my feelings regarding our limited interactions, but I think others need to know what kind of person they’ll be dealing with if they choose to hire her services.
I live in the tiny neighborhood of Bridgeton, a very desirable area with floating homes, townhouses and condos down the road from the Portland Yacht Club. I explained my living situation to Ms. Boggs — I live in a small two-​bedroom apartment in a building with only three other apartments — and that with the extra hours I’m taking on at work, I need some help keeping up with general housecleaning. She seemed super sweet on the phone, in fact too sweet, but also very professional; she even followed up with an email before her scheduled walk-​through of my home.
As I’m standing on my front porch waiting for Ms. Boggs to arrive for our consultation, she calls me to ask if my building looks like «[describes my building].» Thinking she’s lost, I let her know that sounds like the right one but that I can’t see her or her car. She informs me that she’s parked across from my apartment at the marina but refuses to even come to the porch to speak with me because she’s «afraid to enter the building.» Stunned, I ask again if she’s sure she’s at the right place. She assures me she is but that she has to consider her own safety and won’t be able to help me with my cleaning needs. «Click.»
For days following this incident, I wasn’t even sure what I should do. Frankly, my feelings were hurt, and I felt completely insulted. Somehow my home, which I happen to love, is good enough for me to live in but not good enough for someone to clean? I’m still not sure what Amy Boggs has against me or my apartment/neighborhood…maybe my building is too ugly or old and she isn’t up to the challenge of cleaning it (although she didn’t even pay me the common courtesy of looking inside my home to find out). Perhaps she felt that she might be mugged or shanked walking from her car to my front door, but seriously people — I live down the road from the PORTLAND YACHT CLUB. It ain’t Compton.
I want Amy Boggs to know that I also work for a small local business, and if we ever treated our clients with the same disrespect and contempt she showed me, we would not only lose our base of loyal, repeat customers but also our many new clients who hear about our services through word-​of-​mouth. And they’re all shown the same level of consideration, whether they live in a mansion or a minuscule studio apartment.
Unless you enjoy feeling belittled and insulted, I absolutely do not recommend using the services of Sparkling Palaces for your housecleaning needs.

Let me say first that I’ve never actually had Sparkling Palaces clean my place – I can’t get them to call or email me back.
A while back I submitted a request via their website form. I never received a call back, but wasn’t too worried – it’s technology, sometimes it fails. So, I called and left a message. I’m still waiting for a call back…
So, if a business is so unresponsive to a request for MORE business, then I’m guessing they won’t be very responsive if you’re actually a customer. Even a courtesy call to say they don’t need my business would have been better than simply not responding.
