Went there for my first tattoo, it was great. They are friendly, clean and great prices. Bridget is awesome, going back.

I can’t say enough amazing things about this place. It’s a very comfortable atmosphere, The artists are amazing.

I love my tattoo that Valen (the new guy) did. He’s really nice, funny, down to earth, and passionate in what he does (he’s also a graphic designer on the side). He likes to explain to you about the shop’s procedures and keep you informed on his progress while you’re getting your tattoo done. He also informs you that runs his machines much slower than what artists usually runs theirs so you won’t be in pain so much. This was my first tattoo ever and he made the experience much less intimidating. I’m a girly girl and just my experience with him reminds me of getting my nails done! LOL
The shop is really inconspicuous as you walk on Powell, but it’s in a mini plaza between Phix Hair Salon and Steakadelphia near the Chevron gas station. The older staff seemed down to earth and like to start conversations with you even if they’re not working on you and are really sweet on sending you on your way (as did Valen). Overall, I liked how the atmosphere is really chill and they don’t come off as snobby tattoo artists like in other shops (particularly in Northern California).

I just got my chest piece finished by Briget at Lucid Ink. Its beautiful and vibrant and I love it! Both Ray and Briget are very genuine, laid back, and just a couple of rad people. I had a general idea of what I wanted for my chest and she was able to tweak it and make suggestions that made the outcome amazing! I’ll definitely be back! :D

It seems almost taboo to receive amazing artwork for little money, especially with tattooing. Well, these guys have done it! Ray and Bridgette are the owners, and are super cool. They do work either by the hour or by the piece. They are always running sweet deals like spend $ 50 and get $ 50 toward your tattoo (WAHOO) They are always posting their specials and you can view portfolio pictures on their Myspace page:
. I highly suggest checking them out. Personally, I value the experience of getting the tattoo as much as I do the finished piece. The great thing about this shop is that you feel like family the minute you walk in the door. You go in getting a tattoo, and come out with new friends. They are always willing to work with you, and listen to your ideas and implement them in your piece to be completely customizable. They are amazing artists which is hugely important (not many tattoo artists are good artists, some just copy images)! One of my favorite aspects of this shop is that they are completely sterile, yet it doesn’t feel like you just walked into a hospital. They have an entire bookshelf of reference books and even have their artwork on the wall. I give this place 2 thumbs up!
