Smallfry has become one of my favorite resale shops in Portland. Great brands, clean and tidy, and prices are fair for the quality of items she stocks. The owner, Avery, is often there and always up for a pleasant chat. The toys she takes are always very high quality, often European brands and the prices are on par with what they «should» cost despite one reviewer claiming the prices are almost retail. I’ve found German-​made painted wood toys and blocks, really quality wooden vehicles, and some great puzzles there. The selection is small but well chosen.

This store is so well organized that you almost forget the clothing is used. There are bins below the racks with discounted prices as well as a rack outside. When I walked in the woman working was steaming some items, that impressed me at a consignment store! The used toys were priced pretty high, you could probably find many of them brand new for just a few dollars more.

I am really pleased with the changes in this space. You won’t even recognize it from the former business, it’s much brighter and more open. I found shoes, socks and gloves that I had looked for both new and used in several places. I will definitely become a regular. The owner is very nice and welcoming. Helped me find the size of shoes I was looking for and very accommodating to my two year old (you would think that is a must in a kids resale shop but it doesn’t always happen!). I chatted with her about her acceptance policies on resale items and hope to bring some things in for trade, seems on par with other places I have been.

This place rocks!
The new owner has turned a beast into a beauty. She has impeccable taste — selects high end brands and you can find amazing quality and condition stuff for a steal.
She now carries equipment too — I recently stocked up on snow boots, cute clothes and some books and puzzles for my little one.
HIGHLY recommend — she also has awesome events (music, yoga, cooking classes) for you and your little one!
She also finds amazing local suppliers for baby gifts that are SO cute — I am going to stock up for expecting mamas. She is creating an amazing resource and community destination for those looking to support a small business — stop reading my review and go there and shop now!
Oh and you can take your quality used items and trade them in too!
