Sidewalk Solutions

They did decent work at a decent price, but their business practices could use a bit of work. We contracted with them in mid May to repair our sidewalk. Per the city’s citation, we had until July 15 to have the work completed. They showed up on July 10, with no contact since we’d signed the contract to let us know when they would be coming. We received a bill from them dated July 2 with a due date of July 17. This bill arrived on July 16! And on July 18 they emailed us a past due notice!

My house was one of the ones hit with a citation to repair our sidewalks in North Portland. Immediately after receiving the citation from the city the contractor bids began to pour in. I was amazed at how many contractors gain access to the sidewalk repair notices and just start assaulting homeowners with their bids, (Seemed a bit lazy, desperate, and unprofessional to me).
Sidewalk Solutions was not one of the companies that sent me a bid in the mail. I found some reviews online and was impressed with the photos on their website.
I received word back very quickly once submitting a request for a price quote. The bid I received was not the cheapest, but also far from being most expensive. The great thing is there were no hidden or unexpected fees. Even the city permit and the tree inspection were included. The bill is not sent until the city comes out and approves of the work that has been done.
Chris scheduled my sidewalks to be completed along with some others right in my neighborhood. The workers were respectful of my yard and cleaned up all their mess.
My sidewalks look fantastic now and are totally up to city standards. (Also comforting to know that people will no longer trip right in front of my house)
