We had a great time. The red headed bartender was joy is a kick in the pants. Cocktails were good !! We also had something to eat. Delicious

Real good food. Cheap breakfast!!! Friendly staff. Delicious Bloody Mary! Did I mention cheap breakfast!!! 5 bucks for eggs, hash browns, sausage, and an English muffin. I’d eat here again!

If there was a option for zero stars then i would pick that. This place was a disaster from the start. We walked in and sat at a table on the bar side. A girl dressed like a stripper came over and checked our id’s. Now i in now way have a issue with strippers but didnt seem the right kind outfit for a bar and grill. Aftter checking our id she walked backed to the bar and sat down at a stool at the bar and was drinking her drink. Hmmm didnt think u could drink amd be working.
We sat there for 10 min being ignored till finally the bartender came over to take our drink orders. I ordered a gin and tonic and the girls i was with ordered a Malibu and dr pepper. 5 min later she brings my gin & tonic and asked the girls what they ordered again. They reminded her and she went and made them. 5 min later she brought them back and then i asked her if we could have menus.
When we got our menus we looked it over and my wife wanted something off the page that was Hawaiian good. When the bartender finally came back to take our order i showed her the check in deal on Unilocal for 10 percent of food order. She then told me that it was a old discount and she didnt think they were still taking that. I told her that it was still popping up so it should be honored. She was gonna check on ot for me she said. When my wife went to order her food the bartender said they didn’t have the Hawaiian food anymore. There menu stillbhad a full page of it in there.
By the time it was said and done i was fed up with the piss poor service. We had been there 45 min and only managed to get one round of drinks. I will never return to this establishment. Hopefully someone will take over and clean up the place and teach the staff what costumer service is supposed to be.

Straight up salt of the earth/​Hood Bar! Rolled in about 1:30am and got a Jim Beam on the rocks water back ($ 5.50 for a medium pour) and they where still doing Karaōke. The biggest downer about the place is the cigarette smell that permeated throughout the place and it was due mainly to the patio door being open all night and making the place smell like a bar pre– 2011. (Where you could smoke indoors) For a non-​smoker, it’s kind of a downer, but not the end of the world. I liked the atmosphere though! I’ll come back for a drink or two when I’m not feeling my other spots.

DJ Moxxi is the worst DJ /​KJ I have met… instead of Hi and a greeting all we got was I work for tips… she has no idea what a first impression that makes. There is no reason for me to go back and sing. It’s already filled with drug addicts… now there really is no reason to go back!

This place makes my stomach turn upside down I’ve never been treated so poorly and every time I come here there’s a hair in my food and it’s the Hawaiian dude working in the back ugghhh I’ve told the bartender this and she handled it told them they need to wear hair nets when their cooking but… shouldn’t the owner be following health code rules never going back here this place is a dump.

This place is confusing, I get the Dive atmosphere and the things and people that come with it, but this place is rampant with Gresham’s most undesirable. Fortunately the staff is pretty chill, I’d love to see what this place could be capable of if the clientele were cleaned up a bit. Were it not for the stank/​presence of crusty bar flys and tweakers this could be a pretty cool spot.

Don’t let the looks fool you. This place is pretty great, divey for sure, but the food was awesome. The boyfriend’s home fries were perfectly done, they serve homemade freezer jam, and Irish cream French toast. They have 7 tv’s and both direct tv and comcast, video poker, full bar and the bartender was very sweet. I’ll be back here for sure!

My mom and I went to their 2^nd Annual Luau and the food was amazing! Awesome service too! There was great drinks, good live music and a really cool atmosphere! I’m so glad to finally have a nice, fun, relaxing, place in my neighborhood to go and hang out for a change … Thanks Rachel’s!

this place used to be Called Ma Ma Son’s, they changed the name and the food menu, which is not much better… during the weekends around lunchtime they have only «one» bartender/​waitress for the entire restaurant and bar! service is slow unless your sitting at the bar and are her friend. The bartender tends to be rude alot of the time, and this place is still filthy, the floor is grimy, the lottery machines are never cleaned and not maintained at all! and the same kind of riff raff still come in, there has been no change in the type of people frequenting this place. you can tell what kind of place this is just from their front door… and the remodel… well, it looks like they got the bar stools from the goodwill or something… they need to be recovered. I did have one meal here and it was ok, but i just don’t trust the kitchen to be that clean if the bar cleanliness is any indication! basically pretty much the same as my first review. that never seemed to make it onto this venue…

there is no way that they got rid of the filthy people that go into that place… most from up the street in the section 8 housing around that area… mostly tweekers and drunks…
this place is still filthy, they don’t clean their lottery machines… EVER!
IT IS STILL VERY GROSS/​FILTHY IN THE «BAR“SIDE OF THIS PLACE, the front door is still all messed up from being kicked in so many times…
.formerly MaMa Sons… last inspection by the city they barely passed with a 78… I am sure they wont to any better just because of a new name and partial remodel…
oh, and the restroom hallway smells like urine bad!!! and if they have «security» then they should make sure they don’t dress like gang bangers… like the ones in the photo“s here…

none of the folks there are concerned about the stench, let alone good customer service. what ever happened to the customer was right. and the DJ he can be a rude one to say the least. not a place that i would want to take children, kids are exposed to the bar even when eating.

Might have been ok if there was someone working… The place appeared to have no bartender or server… We walked from both sides (restaurant and bar) and still we’re never spoke to. :(so we left

Rachel’s is the place to be in SE! No more riff raff… tweekers…or BS! Cleaning it up and making it a fun and safe place for everyone. The lady above who commented is upset because we chose to 86 her for being a nuisance (and at the request of the majority of the customers for bothering them) and her boyfriend Dean Maki for selling drugs out of the bar. Please don’t listen to the idiots! I’m a normal person not in the housing for the mental like them! So listen to me and get in there and party with the coolest people in SE! Good food, fun staff, grey drinks and food! See you there!
