A group of 15 of us came here for brunch for a friend’s birthday and after we waited an hour to get our table they would only take our food orders 5 at a time so we couldn’t even eat at the same time and the first people to get their food finished eating almost 45 minutes before the last people got their food. The service was poor as well and our server was rude the whole time. I won’t be back. The only redeeming factor was the mimosas but even those were overpriced.

I stopped by with a few friends last Sunday to celebrate a friend’s 30th birthday. We ordered and had a great time. Four out of the six of us ordered their french toast, which was quite delicious. I ordered«The Stack» which was like biscuits and gravy on top of fried chicken with bacon and frizzled onion rings on top! Not only was it delicious(definitely heavy), but it kept well and was easy to warm up and enjoy for 3 – 5 additional meals. I’m looking forward to more bottomless mimosas and bottomless bloody marys. Cheers!

I don’t know why this place doesn’t have a higher rating. Every time I’ve been here the food has been fantastic, the service is prompt and personable, and the check is way smaller than expected. I love this little hidden gem. Tip: get here early for brunch! Around 11:00 the place fills up.

Great breakfast and good mimosas. «Bottomless» isn’t exactly true though. They limit it to an hour and a half after requiring you to have breakfast with it. Then they start giving you a splash of champagne.

Bottomless mimosas. There’s not much else to say. Except this place is really awesome.

Our first experience at pink rose felt like holding the golden ticket to the willy wonka chocolate factory of brunch. Adan CLEARLY the most sophisticated and good looking barman in the brunch industry, hand poured highly evolved cocktails tableside. These cocktails pleased the palette and the service could warm the coldest of Sunday morning hearts. He addressed us on a first name basis, and also poured vodka in our mimosas– Groundbreaking. Revolutionary! Our lives will forever be changed for the better. We are considering amending our legal living wills to include him somehow.

I am an avid bruncher. Plus, I am a huge fan of bottomless mimosas, which Pink Rose has. But unfortunately, the service is terrible. The waiter explained several times that he is the only person running tables and it’s only one person in the kitchen. But that makes little sense. It’s Portland, it’s brunch AND it’s Sunday.(Perfect equation for Brunch) …And they are understaffed. I’ve been here before and had a terrific time. But today, I am not enjoying myself. We’ve been here over 3 hours. We were a large party so I was making excuses but even the table of 4 waited almost 1.5 hours for food alone. I know because I watched them hoping they would hurry up and leave because We had been waiting about an hour just be seated. The food was amazing(kudos to the one cook) even though I had to scarf it down because it took another 2 hours to arrive once we were sat and I had a train to catch. Unfortunately overall experience was terrible.(And I used to love pink rose.) So bad that I didn’t leave a tip… and I ALWAYS tip because I typically make excuses for mistakes. I never expect much and am usually pretty patient but when I arrive at 1030 and have to run to catch my train by 215 it’s not a good look… so much so that I may not return(and I really love pink rose) Side note, the owner left a $ 100 gift certificate for the party. But I had to leave before that. It was a farewell holiday brunch for everyone. I should also mention I’ve been here before with much larger parties without issue. I understand waiting but you have to draw the line. Especially when service is so slow that half the people leave…

Went here for dinner on a Saturday night. REALLY wanted to love it. The place was fairly empty, but it was still early so we figured that it was no big deal. The place is a bit of a dive bar, but we’d read that the food was great so we decided to give it a try. The service was really nice, but I’ve got only one word for the food: greasy. Fried brussel sprouts: GREASE. Grilled cheese sandwich inedible because the bread a sandwich of 1 in thick slices FRIED with drippy greasy cheese. It’s been 90 minutes and that food is still giving me a pain in the gut. The drinks were OK but not great. We read here that it was a good spot for Brunch and we were going to try it tomorrow but have thought better of it. Once is enough.

As a Portland bruncher, I was eager to try someplace new, especially with bottomless mimosas. I’d heard that Pink Rose was top tier but was incredibly disappointed. The mimosas were more expensive than anywhere else I’ve gone. On top of that, they were very slow to refill and have a time limit on how long you’re able to get refills(aka not bottomless). I understand that you can’t have people camping at tables for 4 hours drinking 5 bottles of champagne, but only 2 mimosas by the time I finished my food was plain poor service. All of this could have been forgivable as a one off or a busy day but… When I received my one refill, the waitress asked me to lift up my glass so she could pour the champagne in rather than picking it up or pouring while still on the table. When she went to pour, she completely missed, covering my lap and torso in sticky, wet champagne. She promptly shouted, «You moved your arm!» and walked away with a giggle and no offer to bring towels or napkins. Zero tip. The food was halfway decent(really nothing special) and who wants to spend there morning in a dimly lit basement?

Very satisfied with the unlimited mimosas! The service on the patio was okay could of been better. The food was great. I had the stacker and I will recommend ! My friend had the chicken and waffles and that was delicious !

Great, quiet, place with good playlist and authentic takes on typical bar food. Brussels sprouts, bacon wrapped dates, stuffed mushrooms were all on happy hour. Cody(server) is an upgrade from your typical Portland hipster server.

What a great place and a fabulous Sunday Brunch! Good Family and Friends gather here! Can’t wait to go back! We live in California but it turns out the Pink Rose gives that down home feeling!!!

Yesterday we thought we would go into the Pearl for brunch. A friend suggested the Pink Rose. Read some reviews, all good on food, yet lacking at times on service. We arrived and desired to sit outside. There were 3 tables available, one of which was in the direct sun, and we inquired as to if we could sit at one of the others(2 tables pushed together In he shade) and where told no, one was taken(which we saw no one), the other they said they were holding for the POSSIBILITY a larger group would come. Do restaurants really not have the customer service level anymore to accommodate someone standing in front of them, and pull two tables apart for the possibility someone might want a larger space? Couldn’t you also say yes I would be happy too and seat two smaller groups! Not to be difficult but this instantly changed our mind on where we would be having brunch. The hostess and her very cavalier attitude towards a customer will make me think long and hard before I ever consider coming back.

Loved the food I tried here! I wasn’t drinking but they had a good selection of alcoholic beverages as well. I ordered the fried brussels sprouts and hummus plate… SO good. Seriously for the price I was shocked by the awesome selection of veggies and things to dip on the hummus plate and the fried brussels sprouts were absolutely delicious. I wish I was still there to go back and try a couple of more items on the menu! The place has a really nice atmosphere too, you don’t feel like you’re just sitting in some bar and they keep it perfectly cool during the humid summer days. I knocked off one star for the slow service, not sure why there was only one server for all of the tables but maybe someone had called out. I will definitely be back the next time I visit!

This review is for the Sunday brunch I came here with a group of 7 for my friend Donnie’s birthday brunch. FYI, we settled for Pink Rose after our usual go-to brunch spots, Brix and Rae’s(both fine establishments), had too long of waits. Their patio had a long wait so we settled for their dungeon-esque bar. We were initially encouraged running into a couple we knew who were also grabbing brunch, thinking this may be a hidden gem amongst the Portland brunch scene. Ha, not. We ordered mimosas for 6, but received 7(about 20 minutes later). To make sure we weren’t charged an extra $ 14 for a bottomless mimosa we caught the waitress. Trying to help her out, we told her we could still drink the extra mimosa since the rest of us had ordered bottomless — so she rolled her eyes and nonchalantly poured the extra mimosa into 3 of our already full mimosa glasses… alrighty then. It was a solid 30 – 40 minutes before we saw the waitress again to take our food order. In the mean time we had a nice view of her sitting on her phone behind the bar. All the while the other couple we knew, who arrived right after us, already had their food. They finished and said their goodbyes before we were ever served. «You guys don’t even have your food yet?» Nope! Our food arrived, but to little surprise the plates came in about 10 minutes intervals with the first plates being cold. There were a few plates that we didn’t even touch. We did enjoy their pork belly, perhaps because it was actually served warm. Along with the poor service, the bathroom was a mess and they were just blasting mid-2000’s pop music the whole time. There was one bus boy who was actually hustling, his name was Irwin and we thanked him for that. It’s just a shame when a restaurant is so bad you feel compelled to thank the one good employee for simply doing his job After having this happen to us for literally 2.5 hours, leaving into to the sunshine and fresh air felt like escaping a torture chamber. In the words of the great Jon Taffer: SHUT — IT — DOWN

I’m not sure why people love it here so much. It’s cramped and loud and food was just awful. So much pepper, it’s like they live on the stuff. I came here not too long ago with friends who absolutely adore this place, and half of us left with more than ¾ of our plates untouched. The potatoes weren’t cooked all the way through and my egg wasn’t done right. Overall, very disapointed.

The hollandaise sauce on the eggs Benny was one of the best I’ve had. Creamy, lemony and golden yellow. The pork is hella good. They DONOT hold back on the bottomless mimosas! They have different flavors for the mimosas also– berry, peach, mango, orange, pineapple and grapefruit. I highly recommend the Pink Rose. The music playing is perfect brunch jams.

The patio was full so we went down to the dark cavernous bar below. It was pretty chilly and empty inside, but everything was good again when I saw that they had Trivial Pursuit down there. Damn, I almost forgot how much I love owning my friends at trivia. Add a little alcohol and we start yelling random facts like it’s the freakin Olympics. We ordered the bottomless mimosas($ 14 w/a full breakfast meal purchase), which were actually pretty good. I also got the fried chicken and waffles and for the price($ 14), I was not impressed. The batter was super salty and some people in my group couldn’t even eat it. The waffles were tasty and the chicken was moist, but I would definitely not be back for that. Pink Rose might be a cool place for chilling with drinks and friends, but the place is small and prices are steep for quality. While I would come back to try the happy hour, I think this place is overrated overall.

I’ve been hearing about this place for a while now. Having been in the Portland area for a little over a year, many would consider it blasphemous to have not walked through the doors of Pink Rose. Bottomless Mimosas, pork belly, poutine with pork shoulder, a foodie’s dream, right? Let’s start at the beginning. We parked a little ways away and walked onto the patio area. 2 – 3 waitresses/hostesses stood at the mini bar that’s located right before the seating area. We had a group of five and as we stood beside them, they not only never asked us anything, they didn’t even acknowledge us. I asked the waitress(who I now assume was the hostess), if I asked for seating here or somewhere else, she curtly told me that she would be with me once she dealt with this(and continued fiddling on the ipad she had.) This wouldn’t irritate me if there was a line of people waiting to be seated, but it was just us and two gentlemen who’s party hadn’t shown up. So we decided to go to down to the belly of the restaurant since we didn’t want to wait for seating on the patio. There wasn’t anyone down there except for a gentlemen at the bar area. We were able to pick our table and waited for our waitress. She brought out glasses and extra menus and let us have it, we had two pork belly benedicts and three orders of the chicken and waffles. Unlimited Mimosas for $ 14 was a little pricey, considering we didn’t get many refills. The most fun part was the games. They have a few board games in the middle of the room and we had a blast playing trivial pursuit. Now to the food: The chicken and waffles was mediocre at best. The waffle was delicious, but the breading on the chicken was so salty, I ended up peeling it off and just at the chicken. This chicken was a lot juicier than Screen Door however so I give them that. My friend who had the pork belly benedict was saddened that it wasn’t crunchy like the description had said, and the hollandaise sauce was a little too cheesy and thick, but other than that, I had to say that, that dish was the better of the two. Overall, the experience was by far not was I was expecting and definitely not in a good way.

I’m in love with this place! Here are a few short reasons why. –bottomless mimosas during Saturday and Sunday brunch for $ 14. And they go heavy and the champagne. –it was very busy on a Sunday morning, but they had drinks in our hands before we were even sitting AND we were sitting pretty quickly. The service was very friendly and on the spot for sure! –the food!!! I had a hard time deciding what to get because it all sounded for good. I went with the pork belly Benedict. NOT A MISTAKE! It was great. And the portions are perfect! No too much food… Just enough. –I would just like to again mention the service… That alone would keep my coming back. What a neat place! You have my heart Pink Rose. I will be back many more times for many more mimosas.
