O’Reilly Auto Parts

They were as helpful as they could be when your car has a problem. They instilled hope and imagination. The place itself is really small. They don’t have that many products. They have a series of a few products.

Every time I have come into this store, the people working here have been super kind. They do not judge me for my gender, nor talk down to me. For that, I am quite thankful. They even helped me with my windshield wipers when they were seriously stuck. I will totally go back!

Okay so 2 stars may be a little low and 3 stars seems generous but two times I have called to check price and availability on parts and two times I have spoke to Brandon and received bad information which caused me a wasted trip. So you will know if you have Brandon if you are asked 2 – 3 times the year of your vehicle, again and again, as if the person on the other end of the phone cannot remember something so difficult and mind boggling as a four digit number. This will later be verified when you come into the store and get helped by a different parts counter person and as soon as you see the look on their face when they look the part up in their system and you will know instantly you’ve been «Brandoned»! Which means that you part is Not in stock and you will soon be asked to make a drive to 122^nd Avenue as if it was not a bit out of the way. So if you call in and get Brandon, ask for someone else unless you just want to go for a drive and not get your parts. I have had help at other O’Reilly’s from counter help with down syndrome and received better service. Guys there are too many options in auto parts to put up with the Brandon in the world.

Whenever I need a quick part for either my truck or the car, I’m off to O’Reilly’s to grab it. It has what you need for a local parts store, including easy parking.
Some of the self-​guides are not really helpful (including the no-​illumination windshield wiper guide,) but the employees are quick to help you find the part you need.
Prices are pretty consistent. Most things are only a few bucks over Amazon, (but you are getting it today).
I’ve never had to get anything serious there, so I can’t speak to whether you can get anything rebuilt or if they have refurbished vs. new parts.

Friendly staff. Helped me replace my headlights on the spot.

Very Helpful staff. After letting me wander the store for a bit a staff member asked me if I needed help, then immediately found what I was looking for. No pressure just helpful.

I seriously wish I could give them 10 stars. Customer service is consistently AMAZING, above and beyond what I expect. I came in for a new front headlight today. The guy offered to install it for me (um YES thank you!). When it still didn’t work, he figured out what was wrong (something rusty/​corroded), sold me the super-​affordable parts, and fixed it for me RIGHT THEN AND THERE (which involved some fancy car stuff I don’t understand like stripping wires and clamping them together). He was friendly, patient, and laid-​back the entire time (his name was Josh). Leagues beyond someplace that would’ve just sold me the new headlight and sent me on my way. I’m a fan for life.

This place never fails! Except that the name changed to Oreilly. But whether its late or early, foreign or domestic they have had every part I needed in stock. Ive always had amazing and knowledgable service from the crew here and I cant say enough good things about them. If you value honesty and a grear price, well you now know where to go!

When I first moved to Portland, I had trouble figuring out where to find things like motor oil for sale, as well as those other staples (funnels, rags, etc.) that responsible car owners (i.e. people who are not like me) should keep in their trunk. A little cultural quirk in our supposedly non-​car-​friendly (yet swamped-​with-​traffic) city; in many places, even supermarkets have an automotive section for basic car supplies, but not in Portland.
That said, I finally began to feel like I really lived here when I finally located a couple of Schuck’s Auto Supply stores here. Schuck’s is a chain, and their service can be kinda hit-​and-​miss. I suspect this is often the case with auto parts stores. That is, it’s generally pretty easy to buy basic items like the aforementioned oil, rags, funnels and miscellaneous automotive fluids. But it can take a while for staff to look up and locate more esoteric parts, such as brakes. Still, folks here are reasonably friendly and easy to deal with.
