Norris & Stevens

I live at Laurelwood Estates and it is owned by Norris and Stevens. I want to say that this company provides very nice
apartment complexes at a fair price. There managers do a great job to. The treadmill in our fitness room stopped working
and the company is going to replace it with a very expensive model. I appreciate that they don’t cut corners. The apartments
are keeped very nice and the grounds are well kept with lots of flowering bushes.

Renting from these people is a nightmare. Upper management treats lower management badly thus next to nothing gets done on the tenant level. «Slum lord» could be a good word to describe living under this company for a year: Backed up tubs, toilets, insect infestations, dog poop all over yard, sewage backup in basement, flooding into storage units, things basically not being fixed or even attention paid from managers. Most people I’ve known have moved and broken leases due to this behavior. And many more are moving out. It’s a very sad case to not be happy in your own home.

I have never been so embarassed by a set of slumlords in my entire lives. Lived at woodland village for a total of 12 years, am one of the most respected people in the complex, one of the people with no issue with my rent. Im never home. But when I m, im either keeping to myself, watering my plants or hanging out with my neighbors. I am disabled, which has never been a deal for me until these jerks come in and evict myself, my live in aid and my roommate for no reason. No stated cause. And why? The only thing I ever did was ask that they clean the black mold growing out of my walls from a leak last year that went unfixed for months after it started. Now I have to find help moving or loose everything I own. On and did I mention, my pets have to go cause I cant find a place to take them in this tight market and my live in aid moving home to cali cause finding affordable living for one disabled person is gonna be hard enough.
