The best frozen yogurt in Portland. It’s thick and creamy and they have lots of good flavors! The toppings are fresh, they have homemade brownies and cookies, and they have cones!

Alrighty so as far as Fro-Yo places go, I’d say this is one of the swankiest I’ve been to. Considering it’s a fro-yo lounge! They have some couches for you to hang out as well as an outdoor patio(which I feel like it always swarming with kiddos). When you walk in, you’ll see you can grab as many sample cups are you’d like! Cool! Though they have about 10 flavors I believe. but each time I’ve gone at least one machine has been down :(The flavors rotate so they don’t always have the same ones but they do have vanilla and chocolate staples. They even have dole whip!(not as good as other places in my opinion, but it’s alright for PDX). Now the toppings, they have 3 areas of toppings, so don’t fill up in the first bit. Fruit, candy, granola, nuts, and they even have really yummy rice krispies.(This is one thing I like that they dot hat I haven’t seen elsewhere). Right at check out they have a lot of sauces(some are warmed) that you can put on top. Their prices are okay, average I’d say. They do have a coupon if you check in on Unilocal andddd a stamp card!

Probably my favorite self serve frozen yogurt shop I’ve ever been to. Been coming here for 5+ years and everyone is super nice and friendly no matter how busy they are. When the lines are out the door these guy keep it flowing as well as ensure that the toppings are available without running out!

I love self-serve frozen yogurt places because I can just serve up a small dab of the flavors I want without going overboard. As I walked by Nectar Frozen Yogurt Lounge, I saw they had the day’s flavors conveniently posted outside.. .that’s handy, so I didn’t have to go inside and look at each machine to check out the flavors. All right, they had COCONUT, which is always a «prerequisite» for me when deciding whether to stop at a yogurt place or not. I got small dabs of coconut, raspberry, and chocolate.. .all were smooth and refreshingly tasty. Their extra«customer oriented» features is what impressed me. At the counter where you pay, there was a notice that said you get a 5% discount if you guess the height of the cashier.. .that’s kind of cool. The girl at the counter stood up straight for me and I guessed that she was five foot eight. Yep, I was right, so I got my 5% discount. Also, she offered me a punch card for future visits, and put three punches on it already. Finally, I also got a $ 1.00 off coupon for future use too. Well, I’m really impressed with a place that SHOWS you that they want your business. I’ll be back often.

The tart was fantastic! Not too tart & not too sweet. A nice little shop with friendly staff. Plenty of kids that were well behaved. I do wish they’d use some smaller cups though. 16 oz was waaaay too much even for sharing.

I have been coming here occasionally since I first moved down to Portland. I love it! My favorites are Nutella and White Vanilla, they change it up often and the toppings are what makes them unique. Have not found rice krispies treats anywhere else!

The best! I will never go to a froyo place where they don’t allow you to do it yourself again. If you’re the type of person who wants to get exactly what you want and do it yourself, go here. Nutella is the best. flavor. ever.

I love this place! Every flavor I have tried has consistantly been several steps above those of other froyo places eg: one day they had caramel corn flavor that, I kid you not, had that smokey slightly burnt sugar subtlety laced through the buttery caramel/salty popcorn flavor! Being the texture & temperature of froyo, not that of warm crunchy caramel corn, it was incredibly boggling to my brain trying to make sense of the situation lol but regardless, it was delicious! They also have an approachable atmosphere suitable for kids & adults alike. Open late– always a plus! Surprise rotating extras w/their toppings like rose-infused whipped cream! Chalk board by register w/a bit of trivia– tell them the answer & recieve a discount on your purchase! Lastly, the staff is always funny, friendly, helpful & all around really make you feel happy to be there :)

Currently having withdrawals from Nectar’s froyo. They have a rotating flavor right now called«Graham Cracker» and it is the BEST. Really hope they keep it for a while. Their«Original Tart» is excellent and fresh-tasting. Pair it with granola, fresh mango pieces and strawberries. Self-Serve yogurt with sample cups. Don’t be «that guy» and only go in for samples — treat yo self to a full cup of delicious froyo! The location offers outdoor seating and indoor seating. Great spot for people watching and ice-cream dates.

Oh Nectar, how I love you. I love the rotating flavor options and how they always have a flavor to accommodate different diets(gluten, dairy, or no sugar added.) The atmosphere is bright and inviting, the staff is always super friendly, and … it’s very close to my house :)

I’m always disappointed in other yogurt and ice cream places because Nectar is by far the best. Their yogurt is delicious, the ambiance is child friendly and warm and inviting, their toppings are delicious, and the service is great. I even love going in the middle of winter. Frozen desert places come and go but that doesn’t matter because I pretty much exclusively go to Nectar. Love love love.

Where to start? Where to start?! Nectar is a top-notch froyo joint. For so many reasons. I’ll give you ten here, but if you need more, hit me up because I’ve got multitudes of ‘em ready to share. 1. Sugar Free? Check. Fat Free? Check. Dairy Free? Check. 2. Waffle cones? Check. Sugar cones? Check. Waffle bowls? Check. 3. Sample cups aplenty? Check. No judgment when I use them? Check. 4. A variety of desirable flavors? Check. 5. Enough toppings to make me want a bigger bowl? Check. 6. Reasonable prices? Check. 7. Loyalty card to get me freebies? Check. 8. Genuinely friendly folks manning the counter? Check. 9. Hours that can accommodate a late night sweet tooth? Check. 10. Close enough to home to make going in my jammies an option? Check. Okay, the last one probably isn’t relevant to most. But it’s the deal-sealer for me.

It was a hot day in Portland and my cousins and I wanted dessert before heading to the beer fest and we stubbled upon this place. It’s like all the other yogurt places, self serve. However, they had unique flavors. I think ended up getting the dole and hawaiian flavors, yum! The place is not very big so there’s not much seating area. They have 2 small round tables and 2 couches. Will definitely return if I ever visit Portland again!

Pretty simple here. Self serve yogurt. Self serve multiple toppings. Always clean. Always have enough staff to keep the line moving. Tables are kept clean. They keep improving the trash so that most of it is recycled now. Love the water dispenser. Im always dissappointed in people as u watch them devour free samples then either nit get anything or get one for fuve people as they are all now full. Not really the stores fault and honestly it keeps kids from buying a flavor they dont like. Just my statement on society. This place really does good flavors and good healthy choice toppings along with the sugary sweets.

Yes I realize the frozen yogurt places are a dime a dozen, it’s almost as bad as all the coffee shops and Starbucks on every corner and in every Target, in every city. At least frozen yogurt isn’t that addictive. Nectar is a little different. How many frozen yogurt shops do you know of that have couches? A relaxing atmosphere? I will say that is a bit different. It’s a nice little place but I can see that up front towards the register(and all the toppings) it can get a bit congested, especially when it’s busy. The yogurt flavors were mostly normal on this visit. Vanilla, milk chocolate, praline, white chocolate mousse, cotton candy, euro tart(basically it tasted like regular vanilla yogurt without all the sweetness) and a few others. I did like the fact that they had little sample cups so you could taste the flavors before you made a purchase. I could see how on a slower evening, one could take advantage of that. Anyway, there are many, many choices for topping and I did like that some of the toppings were all in a row of «bubble gum» dispensers. The group of friends I was with all agreed that the white chocolate mousse and the praline were our favorites. The also had yogurt in pints to go in other flavors not available out of the machines. Cool little spot that I look forward to going back to on warmer weather and I will most likely bring the kiddo when she is visiting this summer. Enjoy.

Good selection, very cute décor inside! Good for groups. They have all the toppings you normally look for in fro-yo place. They have a trivia discount– if you get the answer right to their trivia question posted by the register, you will receive 5% off. So look it up before you pay up people!

It’s kind of crazy how many self-serve frozen yogurt(froyo) shops are in PDX now. It’s sweet and(especially the non-fat version) supposedly healthier than ice cream. Jonesin’ for a sweet dessert the gf and I checked out this high-rated froyo chain and were pleased to see a beautiful, modern-looking shop with friendly employees and big windows that allow you to the many customers crafting their own custom froyo sundaes. Here’s the skinny: + 10 flavors, plus the«50⁄50 mix» combo that creates a total of 15 froyo options + a standard selection of toppings including fruits, macaroons, mochi, sauces(caramel, chocolate, etc), crushed candies(butterfinger, heath, snickers, etc), whipped cream, and the LARGEST nut selection I’ve seen at any froyo shop! + clean + friendly staff + question of the day(if you know the answer you get 5% discount) + only 44 cents/oz + lots of sample cups available(you don’t have to ask the employees for them) + waffle bowls available(unsure if they are made in house or not) The only downside I noticed was that the process of adding froyo then toppings then paying is in a in a very linear fashion, and the toppings area is very cramped. When it’s not busy it isn’t a problem, but if there’s a line of people you feel pressured to pick your toppings and move on, and if you later decide to add other toppings it’s hard to squeeze in between others already in the same area. If they could spread out the toppings area a bit more, it it would really make the overall process a lot easier and more efficient. TartBerry downtown is still my favorite(I liked their froyo flavors and mochi best), but Nectar isn’t far behind! It makes a great dessert for anyone in the Milwaukee/Sellwood area!!!
