Highly recommend Paula!!! I have been going to her for the past year. She is very skilled with color! She gives me exactly what I want everytime! Love her!

I recently gave this place a shot simply due to its proximity to my house and possible convenience for my quarterly trim– my mistake in underestimating the complexity of a «trim». Paula had me stand while trimming my hair– which was an initial offset due to the fact that I was standing on a foam pad that was incredibly unstable– I held my breath and locked my knees to ensure I wouldn’t move throughout this portion of her «French style cutting» light headed and concerned she sat me down and began styling– she started curling the tips under to hide any mistakes that may have been made during — I encouraged her to straiten the hair that framed of my face– she laughed and admittedly noted it’s inconsistency. I got home and styled myself noticing that my once evenly feathers layers are now several very pronounced chunky layers… I pull my hair back and I have an even ‘bob’ all the way around… Throw in some contrasting highlights and I could be your next 90’s pop star! I don’t denote the salon, it’s a wonderful setting with many talented beauticians I’m sure, however I recommend doing a little research before you entrust your locks with anyone at this shop…

Frances has been great every time I’ve gone in! She’s always cheerful and listens to my requests. I’ve gone to Frances for eye brow waxing, bang trimming, and a hair cut. Each time she has confirmed my preferences before jumping into it! She’s also great about not chatting your ear off during a hair cut. It was super relaxing to have my hair cut by Frances. It feels lighter and more stylish!

I’m so sad. We must have had a communication breakdown somewhere, but I just wanted a trim, some layers, and some bangs. I ended up with losing at least 6 inches off the bottom, no real discernable layers, and bangs that start really abruptly at my hairline and aren’t blended into the rest of the cut. My hair was down to my ribs — now it barely reaches my collarbone. I cried.

So I had put off getting a haircut for 2 months because I didn’t know where to go. I have thin and fine hair and I have had some horrible cuts in my life. But I decided to take the plunge and go to the closest place to me. They got me in the day after i called. The stylist was ready for me as soon as I got there. We had a short, but good, consultation. She didn’t rush and always listened to me– even better asked me key questions. The wash, cut and style was only $ 43! What a deal!!! From now on i will always go to Ted Isaacs Salon from now on. *parking was challenging*

Nikki at Ted Issacs Salon has been my stylist for the past 2 years now, and I am so glad I found her! I absolutely love my hair cuts and color, and I literally get stopped in the street by people that compliment my hair now. She even lets me pop in for a free bangs trim between hair cuts, and she always has good ideas on what we should do with my color. Her prices are reasonable too, I highly recommend her! The salon is cute, stylish and clean, but not over the top.

I have a thick head of hair that is long and when the color gets messed up its not a good thing. I have had many tragic salon experiences until I met Andrea 6 years ago. I have never been unhappy with the color and she will only cut as much as I ask her to, even when she wants to cut more. I get compliments on hair every where I go and I give all the credit to her. She is very professional and the sweetest person I know. She has also started to colored my daughters hair and she makes us feel special every time we see her. She is like family. I’m a lifer.

I’ve been getting my hair cut here by Brandi for years now and have never had any problems. She is great at listening to my needs and preferences and somehow remembers these things even though I go many months between most visits. I feel really lucky to have such a great salon so close to home.

Great experience with the staff. I was recommended to Brandi by the woman who schedules the appointments and Brandi fixed my hair coloring trouble with lots if attention and was super affordable. Went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and so very pleased with my hair when I left.

I’ve been getting my haircut by Tara for several years. When one day I wanted to try something different, she listened to my ideas and helped me translate them to reality. The result is a unique haircut that really has a life of it’s own. People marvel over it regularly. Kids ask if it’s a wig. «Go ahead tug on it,» I say. I couldn’t be happier.

I recently began going to Ashley and it has to be the best color and cut I’ve ever had. She is professional and takes the time to explain what she is going to do and then ensures it is done correctly. I would highly recommend her.

I’ve had a lot of great haircuts in my time, but Tara really nailed it. She understood that I have an active life, and that I wanted a new style that was versatile, elegant yet easily wash-and-go…I went back to her for color, and have been getting compliments left and right from friends and strangers alike. She accurately mixed the right shade for me, and added fantastic and complex highlights. It’s only been about three weeks since it’s been done, and the cut and color are both holding up beautifully. (BTW, I also recommend the deep-​conditioning!)
Good haircuts and color don’t come cheap, but among Portland’s top salons Ted Isaac Salon’s pricing is surprisingly average. Tara’s mad skilz are definitely above par! Thanks!

I’m pleased as punch with my new do. Tara listened to me, and I never felt rushed. We looked at hair photos together and decided what cut and color would work best with my face and skin tone. My cut is easy to style and I look more polished and feel much more confident. Thanks Tara!
