Quick and easy for lunch in the burbs. Food is consistent, always looks and tastes the same. Chimichanga is soft fried, no crispy shell here. That’s a bummer. But it’s HUGE. I order the special so I don’t get the extra rice and beans. And I still only eat half of it. The same girl is always working the counter. She’s nice enough, quick, polite, gets my order right. Sometimes the salsa bar is empty on things. But it’s also clean. Always. The whole restaurant. I really don’t have anything negative to say about the inside! The food could be better, it’s not 5 star worthy. But it is what it is. Cheap, decent, and consistent.

REALLYGOODFOOD. Don’t’ know how authentic it is, but it tastes delicious. Head and shoulders above Taco Bell, all my friends have switched. Great value too! They hired some new white manager chick I guess — she never gave me a receipt(after I asked for one) and there was miscommunications about my order. I’ve never had issues with my order before, but from now on I’ll make sure my order is correct and I get a receipt before I drive off. It should be noted that I’m not racist against white people or anything, I am white myself… I think lollyraes comparisons are unfair, this is like quick take-out food, not a sit down restaurant. I certainly wouldn’t be going back at least once a week if I was«better off gnawing on my daughters plastic kitchen food set», nor would my friends.

Really, I’m biased, but this is not Mexican food. I’ve tried this place 3 times, considering that a fluke can happen to just about anyone, anywhere. But nope, my opinion has been formed. To even mark this under the category of Tex-Mex is insulting to the well-known and loved cuisine of my home state, but I can’t push it so far as to categorize it under Mexican food. My ex-husband would be appalled.(We could all ring him up and ask!) Anyhow — What I’m after is important to this review, and should be judged according to that expectation. I’m not doing a comparison to Taco Bell. I’m looking for fresh vegetables, refried beans that don’t include the distinct taste of lard(vegetarians will walk away with the feeling that they’ve just eaten glass), and tortillas that don’t look like they’ve been made by… well, a white girl like myself. I suck at making tortillas, I need you to know that I’m an expert at this failure, so I know it intimately. I’m sad, because I was hoping for some sleazy little Mexican place where I could pick up a burrito on lunch, with some devilishly wicked sauce on it. In all, I’d be better off gnawing on my daughter’s plastic kitchen food set. But, I will say — these people are kind, gracious and very happy to see people come in. Their service is always relaxed and not forced, it’s just a shame their company doesn’t offer better food for them to be proud of! Hopefully things will change, and I’d be glad to try it again!
