The food here is pretty good, a little bit speedy but good. Though I don’t think I will return here because I got a really weird vibe when I ordered. Here is what happened; I had never been to this place before, so I went in and ordered a sandwich and a mimosa. I turned 21 pretty recently, but I know my way around alcohol. When I ordered the mimosa, the guy who rung me up looked at me like I was crazy for ordering the drink, and then I heard them having a conversation about my drink choice.(Obviously I could hear them). Once I got my food, I felt uncomfortable and awkward sitting there. So I drank my mimosa and got my sandwich to go. Note; Trying to make your costumers comfortable should be your goal, not to talk about them when they are in hearing range.

I’m now on my second trip to Marmo in the same weekend, and wish I had more time. Came across this place buying a late night sandwich out of the back window Saturday,(insiders tip!!!) and came back Sunday morning for brunch. Both times were delicious. The Tricoloe Salad was so good and paired nicely with my quiche, and I could have ordered a whole dish of just that. Great coffee, good music, and good people working. Highly recommended.

Dropped by for a bite and a drink while in downtown. This place is fantastic! The food was excellent, the drinks and beer selection were great and the service was fast and attentive. If you’re in the area and are looking for a bite or a place to stop by I highly suggest Marmo.

Marmo is the first place we ate when we landed in Portland. Great food, great service and great atmosphere. The four of us shared different dishes, I loved the Mac and Cheese as well as the anti pasta salad, not to mention the delicious squid ink and salmon pasta(their most popular dish!) Very nice place to eat if you want to catch up with friends, no rushing you here. We visited again for drinks with friends. I loved their Italian Chardonnay while others had special mixed drinks and different beers. Kevin, the owner, made a surprise non-alcoholic concoction for one of us. I highly recommend the food, drink, service and atmosphere. Hope to visit again soon!

Marmo is a delightful little place, clean modern atmosphere, small manageable menu of delicious food, nice little wine list and tap list. Four very happy brunch patrons on a late Sunday morning!

Last time I came here it wasn’t so great… this time it was muuuuch better. Got the italian sub for myself and my co-worker, it was delicious. Everything tasted fresh. Totally didn’t notice it had aoili on it but that’s my own fault, I’m not a fan of the stuff but there wasn’t too much so it was still a super nummy sandwich.

I went here for lunch last weekend — can’t attest to all the offerings, but this is what we ordered: –fresh-baked focaccia: delicious, definitely recommended. –vegetable sandwich: very good, but i wasn’t blown away. sandwich felt sort of small for $ 8 and there was only a side of a banana pepper added in. –baked pasta: comes in a very small bowl, with a side salad. i didn’t try the pasta, but the salad was pretty fresh. the service deserves 5-stars; the guy working behind the counter was very approachable and very, very kind. i love the layout and design of the restaurant, but i was just a little disappointed with the food.

This place is perfect. The cannoli is a home run, latte is just right, customer service is relaxed and professional. Wish this place was around the corner from my pad, that’s how much I like it! Food is very well priced, fresh & delicious. Bön Appetite.

Excellent dishes, loved the San Remo cocktail and the atmosphere was perfect. Friendly and quick service for Saturday in the noon hour. Positives all around except a bit pricey. Definitely one to come back to again!

I pronounced this day as «It’s All About Kerri» Day in Portland. I’m sure The Oregonian mentioned it, and surely the news programs did as well. I had just come off working ten days in a row without a break(a friend at one property became seriously ill, and I filled in for her, and this included donning my Wicked Witch of the West costume, flying around on accompanying broom, and timing out naughty children not following the rules in the swimming pool enclosure). As you can imagine for IAAK Day, I wanted to do as many things as possible that were as far away from grounding the naughty, so I decided to start at Marmo. I’ve been scoping Marmo for a few months. It’s just a few blocks from where I live, so I got to see the makeover in progress several days in a week. I knew it would be very sleek and indeed it has turned out that way. Gorgeous white marble for the bar and everything else is done in white with black accents. This is all very refreshing to come into on a murderously hot day, and it’s relaxing as well because it’s so clean visually and in reality. My favorite part is the large glass cube that acts as the cashier and order area. Inside the glass cube is a large neon sign that spells out Ciao. Ciao indeed, thanks for letting me come inside. I ordered baked farfalle which came with a small side salad. The farfalle was a small-ish portion as was the salad, but I found it to be exactly the right amount. The side salad had the best vinegarette I have ever tasted(excellent olive oil and lemon with a nutty back taste I think from the shavings of cheese((parmigiano reggiano?))over the top). The farfalle came in a ramekin with a subtle homemade tomato sauce and a nice amount of melted cheese over the top. I really lived it up and had a small glass of excellent limoncello to sip. Now that’s living! I found the service I received was friendly. My server stopped by to see how I liked everything, and I enthusiastically endorsed everything. If you’re going to have an «It’s All About You» Day, Marmo is an excellent place to start because it sets the stage for the rest of the festivities for the day. It certainly did for me. Enjoy!

Awesome little spot! Great spot for sandwiches, antipasti, well made cocktails, wine and beer. I had the Classic Italian sub and a couple of pints of Peroni with the owner(Kevin) behind the counter. Would highly recommend for lunch, after work or even prior to going out for the evening. Definitely try the cocktails and sandwiches!

I went here after work on a whim wanting a break from the heat — and wow! The Pesto Deviled Eggs and Bruschetta were SOOOGOOD! Can’t wait to come back and try more.

Ok so let me start by saying that I wanted to LOVE this place. I stopped in here with a girlfriend for lunch. Super cute décor and a really versatile menu. Also, the wine… I mean workday on a Thursday we thought let’s have Rose! YESSSSSSS such a good choice. The thing that was a bummer for me was what we ordered. We both got the prawn potato salad and it just didn’t wow me like I thought it was going to. However, do not let the 3 stars deter you as I am looking forward to giving this place another shot! Everyone deserves a second chance right?!

Cute little place for lunch — I came here with two girlfriends. We ordered at the bar and then sat outside. We had the penne pasta salad, potato prawn salad, and squid ink between the three of us. The portions were rather small — I didn’t necessarily leave hungry but for the price, expected a larger portion. I think there were 3 «prawns» on my salad(ok, they were just shrimp). The flavors were good, but not memorable. The squid ink was probably the tastiest of the three.

Walking by on the sidewalk, I noticed they were participating in Negroni Week. I stopped in for their version which included cynar and a house infused Vermouth which had a wonderful savory flavor. The menu was simple, unique and thoughtful. I had a potato and prawn salad which was excellent. The place is very bright, open and clean, and the service was excellent. I will definitely be back

Love the style and simple menu. Marmo is a nice addition to the international mix near Morrison and Tenth. Can’t wait to enjoy a happy hour there.
