Lo’s Contracting

Full disclosure: I did not hire this company. But if you do, please warn your neighbors ahead of time. There has been music blaring throughout my neighborhood off and on since 8a (it is the dinner hour now, and all I hear is ‘We are the champions’ blasting into my house). Many people don’t work a normal 9 – 5 and may be trying to sleep, to take care of children, to work from home, or simply to enjoy dinner without loud music coming into their house. It has been incredibly disruptive.

Amadou lo is quite charming. Do not let your guard down with this guy. We contracted with him a couple of years ago after a tenant had had her apartment painted. We agreed upon painting our triplex with an additional $ 650 for detail work. Beware of this guy… the painters rushed the job, did not do any of the detail work, painted over rust on metal railings without even steel brushing the rust off!!! Their method of operation is to rush the job while you are at work and get the final coat on so you cannot see the lack of «prep» work. They rushed our triplex job trying to leave in three days!!! We took issue and called the Oregon Construction and Contracting Board in Salem. We were advised to give him a letter with 30 days to correct the deficiencies. He countered with wanting to to have «experts» look at the job. He had shills including one «Dilbert» from Sherwin Williams Paint try to convince us that everything was fine. Only after Amadou got an email copy of our letter that we had sent to him via certified mail did he acquiesce and correct the deficiencies! This guy is unscrupulous and dishonest, I would never recommend him and I would warn everyone to be aware of every step of the painting process. He will cheat you if he gets a chance!!!
In regard to Mr. Lo’s comment posted 10/​31/​2014 three years later after I posted this review: everything in this review is factual and did indeed occur and I have all the written documentation and he knows it.

Amadou is one of the best contractors I have worked with and we have worked with a few. He is responsive (which is unique from my experience), follows through, comes onsite to start the job, comes onsite to review the job and to walk through. He is the owner and takes pride in ensuring customer is satisfied. He doesnt nickel and dime. Their prices are very competitive. He is honest and goes the extra mile and willing to do what it takes to correct any hiccups that may occur along the way outside his direct control. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
