I didn’t know what to expect with my burger, I expected it to really be just a mediocre weird burger. I was wrong. I got the Peanut butter pickle bacon burger. Sounds gross right? NOWAY! The taste of peanut butter in the burger was perfect, not too peanut-ey. My friend, who doesn’t like peanut butter had to admit the burger was pretty decent when she had a bite. To conclude, this burger will turn you into a peanut butter lover if you haven’t loved it already! I wish I was still hungry enough to devour all their good fries too!

Their peanut butter pickle burger is always a unique experience. I love the fries here! so crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside!

Funguy mushroom burger and fries… this burger is poorly balanced with too much cheese sauce and nothing crunchy or fresh to offset the assault of bacon and mushroom glutamates. Fries taste like they went from freezer to fryer to plate. Not impressed.

Really delicious burger and fries! I got the Fun Guy — minus the pickles and bacon. It was so delectable and rich — I almost didn’t finish it, but I did… Their fries are so yummy too! Fresh cut — my absolute favorite. All burgers come with fries which I always like. So many places these days are having their burgers a la cart, which is annoying. Not Killer Burger, they know whats up. They also have a great selection of micro brews on tap. I got the Fort George Wit. So good! This place is hopping at lunch time! The etiquette is you order at the front and then find a table. I met a friend around 12:10pm on a Friday. No line, ordered right away and got a table. But not 10 minutes later and there was a line practically out the door. So plan accordingly. We waited probably 15 minutes for our food to arrive which in my book it totally reasonable. Food arrived fresh and hot! No pre-made patties here. So plan accordingly. Great place for lunch when you have an hour or so.

Burgers are good and the place is spacious. I like that it has fool bar towards the back. The noise is pretty loud for my taste and I don’t care for smelling like the food I eat. I usually get it to go. I call it in and they have it ready when I get there! Great if you work DT

The people are really nice and the guy at the counter was great at suggesting a burger for us. We had the black molly and it was really good. We really want to go back for the epic burger, they were out of the pulled pork when we were there. It’s a good location downtown and walking distance from a bunch of places.

My husband tried to walk in a little after 8 pm tonight but the door was locked. He was told by an employee who was smoking outside«we’re closed». There were people inside eating and when my husband tried to ask why they closed early he was told«we’re just closed». They have posted hours til 9. No «I’m sorry» or anything. Great customer service. We won’t be coming back here.

When I was 7 years old, I developed an intense anxiety. I lived in a very large, very empty house in Southern Connecticut. One moment I’d be sitting in peace polishing Grandfather’s galoshes, the next, sprinting desperately up 3 flights of stairs into my mother’s arms. My lovely mother devised a plan to solve the problem. She cut a piece of ribbon 100 yards long and tied one end to my wrist, and the other to her wrist. When I was scared, I’d simply tug on one end of the ribbon and my mother would tug on the other end to let me know she was safe and close. So when my mother was diagnosed with terminal esophagus cancer and given 6 months to live, naturally I wanted to ease her suffering. After researching various methods,(including the horrid drug cocktail available through the death with Dignity Act) I ultimately decided on Killer Burger. What better way to perish than at the hands of a delicious cheeseburger, my mother’s favorite food– a true Killer Burger. When the server presented my mother’s lethal killer burger, the waitress seemed rather blasé considering the finality of the situation. Considering she must deal with this everyday, I suppose one get’s used to death. I held my mother’s hand as she bit into the burger, knowing this would be her last meal. And I felt at peace. However, after waiting and waiting and waiting, my mother did not lose consciousness. While the hot burger did severely burn her mouth, it did not send her to the next plane as advertised. All in all, pretty disappointed the burger did not kill my mother as advertised. Despite this, it did leave a substantial scar via the burn so I guess that’s something. Service was also good. 4 stars.

Killer Burger is pretty bad ass. Let me start with the $ 15 burger/beer/shot combo. Then the shut up and eat attitude of the place. Followed by some killer bacon on everything – don’t like bacon? Get over it.(Or just give it to your friend). This place rocks and do burgers very well.

We stopped by Killer Burger on a whim while were walking back to our car after visiting Voodoo Doughnuts and trying to figure out what we wanted to do for dinner. I’m so glad we did as the burgers were killer! :) We actually loved it so much, we stopped at another location for lunch. We shared the Fun Guy which has Bacon, Mushrooms, Melted Swiss, Smokey House Sauce, Grilled Onion, & Pickle. The flavors of all of the toppings with the burger was amazing!!! Dreaming about it as I type this review… mmm. The fries were okay to me, nothing amazing, but not bad, they need some kind of seasoning or kick to them! The only reason why I give this 4 stars, is that this location is really loud. Probably because it is in downtown Portland, but for dinner, chill out a little. The other location we went to was so nice and comfortable, we didn’t have to yell just to talk! Also, this location was a little slow compared to the other in terms of getting orders done. I watched as they slowly put burgers together and wrapped them up. For one burger, it took some time, so be prepared. Other location it was quite fast! Oh and I appreciate them having a girly size, it was just enough for me when we went the second time, I would have had a hard time stop eating the regular size as it is so good, but I don’t need all of that! Killer Burger, come to the east coast — specifically NC! :)

Killer burger is worth the extra 10−20+ minutes you’ll end up waiting for burger if you go during a busy hour. They have a extensive variety of burgers to offer and they’re always fresh(hence the wait). The bottomless fries that come with all burgers are hard to come by as well… even when they get cold :) I’ve sat at the bar a couple of times and besides the alcohol there isn’t really spectacular about sitting there(but besides alcohol, what place really is haha). It’s pretty loud in there with the music they play, but as long as you’re not coming for a business meeting or talking on the phone much, its tolerable. I come here for the food and not the scene really because it isn’t anything crazy.

Seriously, Killer Burgers needs to stop hiding in Portland and bring the restaurant and franchise to the Bay Area. I will guarantee you that they will kick ass in San Francisco. And sadly, I will most likely be a regular at the restaurant. On my debut of one of the restaurants, I ordered the«Epic Burger». For $ 11.65(no tax), I get a thick beef patty with shredded pulled pork, thick bacon, grilled onions, sweet slaw and barbeque sauce in a bun. Fries are also included with my burger. I do feel sorry for the fries, when the greasy dripping from the burger lands on the crispy fries. With the unique key ingredients, this is a dream burger that I always wanted. Every item in that burger combined very well. Of course, I must have a brew with my burger. For $ 5.00(no tax), I had Eugene’s own Ninkasi’s Total Domination IPA. This is a really hoppy beer with 7.0% ABV. But this is a perfect brew with my burger. The restaurant was playing 80’s rock when I was there. I feel like home here. I will definitely have a second home if Killer Burgers make its way to the Bay Area.

Hey guys, wanna hear something cool? A vegetarian is about to write a review of a burger joint! I was a little thrown off when my vegetarian friend asked me if I, a vegetarian, wanted to go meet up for dinner at Killer BURGER, but after my online pat down of the menu in which I confirmed there was a veggie burger option(+$ 1? Surely vegetable patties are cheaper than meat…) I felt more confident in her decision-making skills. She was, after all, going through an emotional time. We went at 6:00 on a Thursday and it was pretty calm inside. We sat in the bar area which was nice and quiet. The beers were good, the fries were good, the burger was GREAT. Whatever the«special sauce» is, it’s good stuff. I really respect a burger that has a lot of pickle, and this one really rose to the occasion. Sandwich slices, not those shitty little rounds that fall out all the time. The bartender was awesome about keeping our drinks filled and our table clean. Good looking out on his end. As much as I want to, because it’s all about balance, I don’t really have anything negative to say. Im not sure I would aggressively encourage you to go out of your way to visit them, but if you’re in the general vicinity of a Killer Burger, it’s most likely gonna be your #1 choice. Unless there’s a Cinnabon — then you should choose Cinnabon.

The Killer Burger by the water is most welcome here. It’s Portland’s signature burger place, offering many kinds of burgers, with fries only as an included side. The Oregonian called their burger Portland’s best. Fountain sodas are refillable, while some of the restaurant is a bar. Expect a premium price and premium quality. You order is taken at the register, and then served to your table after a medium time of waiting. It was long incumbent on me to review this place. Both here and in the Hollywood neighborhood, I have raved about how seriously they take their product. I once thought this was perfect. Going here again continued my fondness for it, but it was slightly diminished. The fries were average. But the burger, especially the patty was good, though I didn’t get the kind I want, that being something with bacon, cheddar and barbecue sauce on top if possible, since I wanted happy hour savings. It was delicious and I will get the one that I want next time. Music was on, but this place is not a coffeehouse, so I was good with that. Take your burger to the next level with Killer Burger.

The burgers, as the name suggests, are killer indeed. All my grumpy gripes about the Sandy location are non-existent here on SW3rd. It’s a nice big space with lots of seating, and a separate bar to get your drink on. Killer Burger makes a damn good burger. Every single burger comes with bacon and fries, as God intended. I generally get a signature ‘Killer Burger’, girly(that’s a few dollars cheaper and a notch smaller, the perfect size to not leave you food coma’ed), and with cheddar cheese instead of American, because let’s face is american cheese isn’t cheese at all. I’ve had most all of the specialty burgers none of which disappoint. I just to happen to be a purist. Service is always friendly. Staff if always busting their bums filling orders, bussing tables and cleaning the place up. Not that I mind bussing my table at all, but it’s nice they do that and are consistently whipping them down. Sitting at a dirty table is never fun. If you’re looking for a no bullshit burger, this will be everything you want and more.

When suggested to me, the concept of a peanut butter bacon burger didn’t sound so good but I’m glad my friend insisted on trying it because it was actually very good. Meat was cooked a perfect medium rare, and flavors complemented each other well. We also appreciated that the waiters remembered our names, even after serving our food and can checking in with us 10+ minutes later. That was awesome! Bonus = they have happy hour for their burgers! :)
