Took a chance on their fried chicken po’ boy. It was FANTASTIC!!! BIG pieces of perfectly fried chicken, not greasy, and tender! It was HUGE! Great hot sauce. Far and away, the BEST chicken sandwich I have had in Portland!

The chicken sandwich is delicious. I don’t like fries, so I asked the lady if she would put rice on the side. Got a big chicken sandwich with delicious honey mustard, bacon, and a side of rice with beans under it. Really tasty.

Fantastic sweet potato cupcake! Ran into them at the Saturday Market and almost passed them by but they had samples… the samples were the size of a pea, and at first I was skeptical, but even in that tiny bite the flavor was so full! Needless to say I’ll be trying other flavors when I go back. Sweetest people run this business too!

The Portland Women’s Expo in 2013 was the first time I have been. Of course their are a lot of vendors promoting their sweets. If any knows me they know I have such a HUGE sweet tooth! First off, Ja-Das cupcakes looked mouth watering on the table, and I hadn’t even tried a sample. I knew I couldn’t pass these cupcakes up! I tried red velvet and sweet potato. Can I say EXTREMELY moist and DELICIOUS cream frosting?! I bought two there just for me! A red velvet & snickers. I couldn’t wait to go home and eat one! Once I got home I was debating which one I would eat that day and which one another day, I choose the Red velvet and I’m glad I did! I knew I had found an amazing cupcake place in portland! I hate to put other businesse’s on blast, but Jones Cupcake bakery downtown aint got sh** on Ja-Das! Jone’s cupcakes are way over rated anyways. Ja-Das desserts knows her desserts! I will definaetly be visiting Rosa Parks Way for some good sweets!

Honestly the best cupcakes I’ve ever had. My friend and I got Snickers cupcakes for breakfast then returned for sweet potato cupcakes for the next day’s breakfast. So sad they don’t have a bakery or store front, I found them at the Mississippi Street Faire. Guess I’ll be frequenting the Saturday Market once I move to Portland…

This review is based on one cupcake: sweet potato. This is hands down the best sweet potato cupcake that I’ve had. Not too sweet, actually tastes like sweet potato and the frosting, not just Yes, but H*%$& yes! I have to admit that I’m a bit over this cupcake fad, especially the red velvet everywhere. I grew up eating red velvet, but haven’t had one that I liked that wasn’t homemade by one of my family members in the south. THis place makes me hopeful. I’ll be trying their red velvet, even if I do have to drive over two hours. I will I tell you, I will! Will travel for food…

Ok now, I fancy myself quite a cupcake connoisseur and I have tried all the greats. I had«Sweetest Thing» do our wedding, I’ve worked through a «Cupcake Jones» at 0-dark 30 in the morning, and I’ve killed some Pearl Bakery and Beaverton Bakery for breakfast… Today, I had my eyes opened by Jamie Savage owner and baker at Jadas Desserts. I was fully just minding my own business walking through Saturday Market, when this nice man said, «if you like sweet potato, you gotta try this» I tasted a small sample of a sweet potato cupcake,(not overly enthusiastically I might add), and next thing I know I was nursing an upset stomach after polishing off a full sweet potato, a full red velvet, and a peanut butter chocolate… Jamie has a secret recipe that may involve heroin or something that makes these the most addictive cupcakes on earth… I will never cheat on Jamie… Her cupcakes are the only ones for me. Sorry, Sweetest Thing, but you just got«Knocked the fuck out, MAN!»

I’m a huge sucker for cupcake. Say the word«cupcake» and I’ll flip the switch from not paying attention to you to being on my hands and knees hanging onto each syllable. Anyways, I was waiting for the max and three little words, sweet potato cupcake, caught my eyes. «Huh? What?» I thought. I walked over and saw several different cupcakes on the table including the sweet potato cupcake. The owner gave my friends and I a sample of her red velvet and boy was it good. It was super moist and a little dense but with a good frosting. After that sample, I was sold. While choosing my cupcake I saw the max and thought«forget the max. I can always catch the next one because I rather go home a little later with some damn good cupcakes in my hand than catch the max now and go home empty handed.» I ended up picking two red velvet and two sweet potato. I just finished eating the sweet potato and that was delish, However, I did like the red velvets a little better because I’m a red velvet freakazoid. Anyways, I think it was destiny to get the cupcakes because the max didn’t leave right away. I was able to catch it and went home with 4 cupcakes. YUMMO! Today was a good day in Portland!

I was drawn to these cupcakes at first because the name sounded German, but found myself at a table of southern sweets. Both the sweet potato cupcake and red velvet cupcake were delicious. They were extremely moist, even left out for a few days and tasted as if they were baked just that morning. Even the frosting was fluffy and not hardened. It travelled well and truly withstood the test of time.

We just ordered 1 dozen assorted cupcakes for a turkey day party. Jamie and her family are so sweet and the place was really easy to find, right off MLK on Rosa parks way on the left. She even let us sample one of her new ideas, yumm :) I cant wait to dig in to some cupcakes today!

Jamie’s cupcakes are so good. They are a must when visiting the Saturday Market. Be sure to get there early because chances are they will sell out! They are always so happy to be there and happy to help you decide on a delicious cupcake. I recommend the Carmel Turtle cupcake or any of the chocolate choices. You can’t pick a bad one. Thanks for the delicious treats!

Loved the German Chocolate… so good. I also bought the red velvet, but I was feeling like a good sister so I left it as a present for my bro. The sample of it was quite tasty though!

I’m a cupcake fiend, and amazing is the only word to describe these cupcakes. I’ve tried the Peanut Butter Cup(Chocolate cupcake with peanut butter frosting, a mini reeces cup and reeces pieces on top), the Smores(graham cracker bottom, chocolate cupcake with a layer of fudge and marshmallows on top), the coconut with lemon filling(my personal favorite, but beware — its messy!) and the classic Red Velvet. All four are moist and delicious. I love how Ja’Das has a mix of traditional favorites and creative new faves. They do have a store front on Rosa Parks Way, but I always make sure to stop by at Saturday Market.
