Dave’s Killer Bread

Crunchy tasty highly textured bread is this. There IS a there there when you bite into a slice of Dave’s Killer Bread.

I saw these guys at Eat VANCOUVER. The bread was good, something that I have had before, however, what sold me on the company wasn’t so much about the bread but Dave, what he does, what he believes and his perceptions on life. It’s the marketing and the person (branding) and less about the staples that holds a sandwich together. I did fall in love with the sample of the whole grain bread. The lady at the booth was really nice… I just wish that Dave himself was there.

Absolutely the best bread this side of the iron pile.

I LOVE DAVE’S (hey bro!) this man is a reformed convict who made something better for himself and the world with these organic whole grain goodies. We always go to the Portland’s farmer’s market (Ore State) when in Otown to stock up on loaves. Goes good with hazelnut butter from Freddy Guys (also in same F market). Man those samples are generous and fill you up! Support this excellent business and what it stands for!

Even if all of DKB’s other breads were unedible, they would still get a 5 star simply for their Sin Dawgs. My Mom, Grandma, Aunties, etc., all make some pretty phenomenal cinnamon rolls, but theirs all pale in comparison to Dave’s log of goodness.
But in fact, the rest of DKB’s breads are edible and also equally delicious. Warm with just a little bit of butter spread over the top is how I prefer it. Or on a sandwich, but go light on the fixings or they’ll ruin the bread.

Another 5 star raring for this bread. It’s wonderful, probably the best in the world of it’s kind (sliced retail bread). Lots of seeds in these loaves. Very well crafted and hearty with a price to match, but well worth it.

I love, love, love their bread. I can’t go back to my old boring brand anymore. This is as good as it gets.

OK… there are many great things about living in Portland, but being able to buy Dave’s Killer Bread at the source definitely ranks up there…
You can buy all of his breads and goodies FRESH for a fraction of the retail price, but even better? — you can buy DAY OLD (which is still more fresh than buying retail) for half price. I just bought a Peace Bomb for $ 2 and change.
The Sin Dog — well… the name says it all.
This is also the only place I don’t have to search for the hamburger buns — they are kind of hard to find retail and they are SO worth it.
What made me laugh? They are right across the street from the Red Mill… I waved as I was leaving… I’ll have to stop there when I have more time.

I love this bread and just went to the Dave’s Killer Bread store and picked up the new ‘lighter’ version bread. Come to find out, it is the same dough as one of the other breads, just cut into thinner slices… which is still plenty thick!!! I think this is great. 2 slices has 130 calories, 6 grams fiber, and 2 grams fat. GREAT!!!
Now, I bought a sprookie too. A sprouted cookie, but have not tried it yet. Can not find the nutritional information though.
You can never go wrong with DKB. I have tried numerous types and have never been disappointed!
And if you want a special treat… have a Sin Dawg. It is so good that it will make you «slap your momma» (ok, not really, but I am from the south and that is one of our favorite sayings).

There is no doubt the Dave’s Killer Bread can be the only reason to visit a store, a restaurant or Farmer’s Market. Skip the meal, just eat the bread. It is that good. My hat is off to Dave and his staff for killing the competition with quality and uniqueness. (and still offer health benefits) Thank you.

for Dave’s killer bread. OK maybe I shouldn’t have just confessed that to the Unilocal world. But I’m sure once you taste it, you won’t turn me in.
I saw this stand at the Farmer’s Market each week, but I never got to sneak my arm in for a sample because it was also so packed! People would just swarm to this carboholic heaven. Every flavor is great, but their best seller is the good seed.
I could seriously eat half a loaf in one sitting without realizing it. It’s natural, complex, chewy, and chockful of nutrition. It’s $ 5/​loaf, but well worth it.
I also got a sin dawg once. This thing is crazy. It’s like a hearty wheat bread cinnamon roll that was never cut up & super intense. The goo has cinnamon, sugar granules for a crunchy texture, and finger-​licking stickiness. The entire thing is coated with pumpkin, sesame, and sunflower seeds. This thing packs serious weight. If I start doing bicep curls with this bad boy, I might look like I already went to jail.
