We prefer cascade location; always clean, great service, no waiting line. Our server today was Jonathan, he is the best!

Don’t come here unless you have no other option, the service is at most blah… the food is over cooked and came with extra toppings

Not having stepped foot in an IHOP in many many years, I was lured in by the sweet siren call of their Double Dipped French Toast Special. Those TV ads of theirs made it physically impossible for me to ignore! And the ad did not disappoint. I ordered the Strawberry-Lemon flavor. When it arrived, it truly looked almost exactly like the TV ad. It was very tasty, too. This is not something you can eat everyday though, because it is so sweet and rich. This is also the cleanest, nicest IHOP I’ve seen. And being squeezed into a strip mall by the airport, without the normal large overhead sign, it is very easy to overlook this location. I’ll be back. Most likely when they have the Double Dipped French Toast special again.

One of my worst restaurant experiences ever. Terrible service, waited 45 mins for food. Food was bland, even toast was bad. Will not be coming back.

I am sickened when I begin gagging on my hashbrowns… fishing around in my mouth only to pull a 12 inch hair half way down my throat… YUCK…NOTCOOL… we will never return!

I was surprised that not much people were here on a Sunday morning, maybe we just missed the rush. Regardless, my party and I got seated right away. Looked like they were going through construction but I didn’t mind it at all Our waiter was very nice and outgoing. He took our orders and our food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Although, the couple next to us got their food first even though we arrived first. Pancakes were good and I love their selection of syrups. Overall good experience. One downside was I could hear the waiters and waitresses talking about what they’re doing after work and heard a bit of cursing. This isn’t very professional, especially in a family restaurant, but what you expect, they’re teenagers. Our waiter was also nice enough to give me a free refill on my orange juice so that was awesome. There is only two iHops in Portland so I rather come to this location than the 82nd one.

The place was empty… A single table already sitting when we got there. Stood at the front door for nearly 10 minutes before someone greeted us. Once seated the server seemed frazzled, and loudly told a busser to come get our drink order. We ordered two hot cocoas… But never got them. Didn’t even get water, actually. We asked if we could just order right now and the gal said we could. My young daughter and I ordered a stack of hotcakes and a side of bacon… Making certain to tell her we were sharing the large portion. Food took an awfully long time, especially since it was a simple order, right off the menu with no substitutions or anything. When the food did finally arrive the bacon was brought first(super thin(see through!), puddle of grease on the plate with it) and then a few moments goes by before someone dropped the pancake plate at the table as they rushed by without even hesitating to ask if we needed anything else… an extra plate would have been nice, at the least… or my cocoa. No one came back by the table to check on us and ask if everything was all right. In fact, we thought it was quite strange that with(at least) 8 employees in the place we literally did not see or hear a single one of them for the entire time we were eating. When we were finished with our food we waited… and waited… and waited more for someone to come back. Just as I was getting up to go to the front counter and request our bill I saw our server come around the corner and get on the computer. Heard her mumble under her breath and then disappear… only to reappear a few moments later with our cocoas. I pointed at our nearly empty plates and said«Sorry, we dont want them now. We have been finished eating for some time and need to get to the airport for an arriving plane». She«harumped» a bit with an exaggerated sigh and walked away. But never returned with our bill. I finally just went to the front counter and asked the gal that came out if we could pay our bill, as we needed to go. She said she couldnt do it and had to go find our server. She picked up a phone and asked someone something, then turned back to us and asked how everything was(A first for the evening!!). So I told her. «We waited a long time to be sat, the pancakes were extremely dry and the bacon grossly oiled, we never got our ordered drinks, let alone some water, no one checked on us and we were going to be late getting to the airport at this point while we are waiting on their employees, again». At this point our server finally made an appearance. She came to the front counter and said not to worry about the bill she was going to take care of it for us, and then walked away. No apology, no explanation, nothing. And still only one other table in the place besides us… I certainly wasnt expecting a gourmet meal, people… its IHOP. What I did expect was some friendliness and at the very least a glass of water with my ultra dry and hard to even swallow pancakes. Notes to Management: 1. There is NONEED to employ at least 8 people in the front of the house on such a slow night… some of them could have been sent home early to save some funds from the company coffer being spent on them hanging out in the kitchen and doing nothing constructive. 2. With those saved funds from sending people home early when they arent needed you should think about hiring a group who is more attuned to customer service and has some pride in what they do, and the want to take care of their customers appropriately. 3. Having the back door(next to the parking lot) blocked off and with yellow caution/danger tape around it makes the place look like an active crime scene… we almost didnt even come in because it didnt appear to be open for business.

Our food took waaaay too long to come out and when it did we were starving but my moms food was not hot and my order was wrong. We had our server send back my order and that took another 20 minutes and my mom was finished with her meal by that time. If something is wrong they should have fixed it right away and make it a priority to fix their mistake but instead we had to ask our server if it was still coming. The manager did take it off our bill so that was nice but I still won’t ever go back to that shit show.

Bad service at a bad time. Slow as hell and didn’t bring anything extra we asked for. I had just flown into pdx and tried to ease my kids by going to ihop. My son(1) was screeching due to boredom and hunger. We tried to calm him as much as we could but by the time the food actually came he thought the screeching game was fun. I asked for ketchup 2 different times and in stead of bringing it she never filled our water and brought the check. We felt like we were being pushed out. I do my best to entertain my kids and keep them quiet in public settings but slow, forgetful service makes my job a thousand times harder.

I like the location of this place. It is just a regular ol’ IHOP. Not really too fancy. Came here with my dad and the hostess and server girls were nice! We both got there special summer time pancake combos. The banana ones with the pudding, and I got the blueberry with the lemonade cream(I got it without the lemonade cream though. I was too skeptical about it). But they were pretty great! I’m sure the lemonade cream is great too. It just sounded a little weird to me. Will definitely try it next time. It’s not a gourmet place, so don’t expect much more than Denny’s quality eggs and bacon and sausage. But hey, it’s a craving once in a while, right? It was about fifteen bucks for both of us to eat a good deal of food. Good deal! If I come to this IHOP again, I’m sure my review will be better.

Terrible. Waited 10minutes before asking for the server to come to our table, took another 40 minutes for the food to get served(there were only 2 of us). We both got egg meals, she didn’t offer any ketchup or hot sauce, we had to ask. My dad’s country omelette had barely any ham in it. He got the«fresh fruit», it was sent back, looked old. My Tuscan scramble was fine, potatos were bland and the onions were not cooked. The server did comp our coffee, but still charged my dad’s extra gravy rather than changing it to the side. It wasn’t busy when we first got there… I wouldn’t want to be there when it is. Only reason we stayed was because we were both hungry and waiting for traffic to subside. After reading earlier reviews of a server adding a tip, we paid cash. Wish I would have started a stopwatch when we first got there.

I’m so bummed. This place went down three stars for me. I had such nice experience in the past with this location but my recent visit was poor. I was waiting for my friend to get off work at the airport so we decided to meet up at this IHOP. I let my server know that it’s going to be awhile until my friend arrives so she got my coffee. She came up once more I think to ask how I was, told her I was still waiting, so she nodded and left. I waited until my friend showed up which was about an hour later. My server never once returned. We sat with out menus closed for fifteen minutes and saw a different server and the manager walk by, giving us confused looks. My server was no where in site and I figured if she was going home she would have to transfer her table to another server. However she showed up, and even looked at me, and then never came back. My friend and I were drumming our hands on the table and just decided that it wasn’t worth it. I got up and went to the hostess stand to pay for my coffee. The manager came up, surprised and asked if I only had coffee, and I said yes. She looked over at my table and noticed the menus and apologized and said they would cover my coffee cost. As a server I’ve had customers stay in my section for hours and hours and I always accommodate them no matter how long. I’ve found that at this location you get the best service between 7am-4pm. When it hits dinner time and night time things start to go downhill. I’ll be back next time because this is the only ihop in pdx that has ok food.

Horrible horrible service. Asked for blueberry pancakes and it took them 30 minutes for 3 pancakes to be delivered! Are you kidding me? When asked they said they are understaffed! Well then shouldn’t you let your customers know while placing an order? Ridiculous and the server at the reception desk needs few lessons in courtesy and manners. Rather than apologizing he’s talking with a smiling face explaining the reason why it took so long. I waited patiently for 20 minutes before asking again for my order where the server went in to make it and bring it back. By that time it was too late!

Worst service ever! Waiting 45 min(and counting) for our food. No water refills ever, not even a glance in our direction. Food came to the table and was not correct, but not willing to wait another hour for it to be corrected. Nonetheless, the food was good, just not exactly what we ordered. Not planning to visit this location again. Lilly was our server. UDPATE: it turns out that our waitress took it upon herself to add a tip(or something) to my credit card after I left. I noticed today, that my card had been charged double… after I signed and left. Fortunately, I still have the receipt.

A return to an era of yellow glossy cheese in a plastic wrapper, preservative-laden bread and low grade coffee. You’d think the trade off is low prices, but they are the same(if not more) than at quality ingredient places. It is what it is for those who don’t know what they don’t know. Maybe we’ll hit Chili’s for dinner and be equally disappointed.

First, let me say, that you cannot go wrong with the food at IHOP. It is always delicious, and their menu is so big, I have a very hard time deciding what to eat. The reason I am giving this review only 2 stars, is the service. This is not the first, or fifth time I have eaten at this particular IHOP. With the exception of one visit, the restaurant has been practically empty every time, and service takes forever. There were four of us, and we had to wait about 5 minutes for anyone to even come up front to greet us, and sit us at our table. My manager had to get up, and find a waitress to request more coffee; we had been sitting there for 20 minutes without our food, and without coffee refills. Then, when they waitress brought our food, she brought my French fries… no ketchup. I waited for 10 minutes for her to come and see how everything was, and to ask for ketchup. She never came. One of my party actually got up, and went to a dirty table and took the ketchup off of that table. The waitress didn’t come back to ask us how everything was, until we were finished. I love IHOP, but I just don’t think I will ever go back to this one. The service is so horrible; each and every time I am there. I will go to Red Robin across the street, where I always get excellent service.

IHOP is not what I remembered as a child. We went on a non busy time — it was almost vacant. Service was fine. Food was cold. and the biggest bummer — unless you ask your omelette will have pancake batter to make them fluffy. For those of us who are following a low carb diet or have an issue with gluten this needs to be aware. This will be one of my shortest reviews ever — but what’s to say when something truly stinks. They lost me with the pancake batter in my omelette.

IHOP… A inexpensive place to satisfy your breakfast cravings, especially late at night! My best friend and I were in desperate need of some girl talk, and after driving around for 20 minutes we decided on iHop. Our waiter was manning the whole floor and considering the area he was covering I would say that he did a good job. My order: Silver dollar pancakes, bacon and cheese eggs. Her order: strawberry cheesecake pancakes, eggs, hash browns and bacon. Oh, and we both ordered salted caramel hot chocolate l, pretty but they were entirely too sweet!!! All of our food came out pretty quickly and it was yahoo good! We would definitely come back because we had a whole section to ourselves and we were able to talk and catch up. If you’re in the area randomly on a late night or early morning then don’t count out iHop. Happy Unilocaling…

Family took us here because they like it. Sunday 11:30AM we arrive. its crowed we wait 15 minutes to get a 5 person booth. Not bad for a Sunday Brunch time. 10 Minutes later 11:55 we get asked for drink order 10 Minutes later Drinks come and meal order is taken. 25 minutes later no food!!! Ask another staff person about our food as our waitress as MIA. 12:35 Sorry your meal will be here in 5 minutes(IE they never had the order or it dried out under the lamps in the kitchen, 5 minutes is what it takes to cook breakfast. 12:36 we said good bye to our family and headed back to hotel to check out before deadline that afternoon. Had a nice lunch at Burgerville before driving back to Seattle Area. Thanks IHOP at Cascade Station. NEVEREVER going to give you a chance to steal and hour of my life again.

Holy smokes! The dominant rating for this 24 hour IHOP at Cascade Station is 1 star. What? Are we talking about the same IHOP? I first noticed this place when driving to IKEA. It’s about 3 blocks before you get to IKEA, on the right. I’ve eaten here twice — once at odd hours and once for breakfast. Sure, you can debate which is better — IHOP or Denny’s — and it won’t matter. What matters to me is that this is a very nice IHOP and I’m echoing another Unilocaler’s comment that this is the nicest IHOP they’ve been to. I would agree with that. I’m going to go with 4 stars. The location and the facility, for being an IHOP, get 4 stars. The service gets 4 stars. On both occasions, seating was immediate, the order was promptly taken, the food was delivered in a reasonable amount of time, and the caliber of the service was very good, especially the first time when being waited on by a guy who had a goofy and much appreciated sense of humor. The food is standard IHOP, so it gets a reliable 3 stars. I believe this tips the IHOP at Cascade Station over into 4 star land for Unilocal purposes. This place does exactly what it’s supposed to do.
