On freeky-deeky freezin days, slipping into skin-tight base layers, head to toe, in Merino Wool keeps you snug. You still look tight, nobody knows you are wearing base layers, unless you want to show & strut some wool. Icebreaker can fit you up! They got a good product guarantee. When the seam split on my wife’s long john’s, it was replaced with no questions asked. When it’s freezin, Merino Wool, keep you warm, when it’s hot Merino Wool, keep you dry and cool, it wicks, don’t smell, in Merino Wool be lookin swell it’s all season for Merino Wool, be glad you got, so glad we bought Icebreaker Merino Wool!

Great staff. Friendly bunch! Clothes is awesome! You would never think its wool. Please come in and buy at least a pair of socks to use for activities. You will be back to buy more once you try it. Also stop by on every Wednesday before 1800 to join the weekly run club.

It’s nice going to a store where they have almost all of their stock in one place, all the color options too. I was here when they had their sale going on, was able to grab a few good finds. However, when they do have their sale, grab whatever you can otherwise they’ll be gone the next time you check in! Prices are steep yes, but put on them clothes, you forget you even paid this much for them!

Honestly this place has some nice stuff. I just have a hard time paying $ 79 for one t shirt. On the flip side they have some pieces that can be worn different ways and would be great to have along when traveling. The trick here is to get items that you are going to get a lot of use out of. The quality and utility of the designs and fabrics are what will keep people coming back.

Just arrived from seattle and was checkout the all the outdoor gear stores. Columbia, Mountain Hardwear, etc. This was alittle bit farther then the other stores from my hotel but definitely worth the walk. The sale items were 50% off. Can’t beat that with online purchases. Wish there was one in Seattle. I will definitely stop by again the next time I’m in Portland. My only problem is how to pack the items into my carry on.

Hey, I wonder if Portland has an Icebreaker store? Of course you silly Canuck. I am now the proud owner of a pimpin merino jacket. 25% off and no sales tax. Why the hell do I live in Canada? The super helpful sales dude(Matthew) reminded me about our universal health care. Oh ya. Baaaaaaaaaa.

Sheep outnumber people in New Zealand at a 30:1 ratio. What does that mean for you here in Portland? It means that New Zealand’s Icebreaker store — purveyor of all things wool — with its first US flagship store right here in Portland, knows how to create The Best wool-wear out there. If you’re the type of person for whom the thought wool shirts actually makes you start to itch, you should visit the Pearl’s Icebreaker store just to see how far wool clothing has come. Everything from underwear to t-shirts, to pants, to technical tops are made of 100% wool are 100% washable, and are silky soft. Also, these amazing clothes are clearly designed both for functionality and style. Do not expect bargain-basement prices. The Icebreaker products are well-made and a good value even though a little pricey. However, you can score a bargain by keeping your eye out for promotions and other sales. Staff are friendly, no pressure, and extremely helpful. So you can enjoy just stopping in to browse.

Icebreaker is a pretty cool concept; outwear clothing for hikers, bikers, and snowboarders that is not only functional, but will keep you temped, dry, non-smelly, and is soft, comfortable, and easy to wash. Icebreaker is actually a company originating in New Zealand and makes all their clothing out of merino wool. Icebreaker clothing is no joke. It’s not focused on fashion, it’s focused on function. This doesn’t mean that it’s «not fashionable», but Icebreaker isn’t like a North Face or Patagonia that yuppies Pearl peeps are going to wear around as a fashion statement. The clothes aren’t cheap, but if you are serious in outdoor apparel, this is the store for you. The store itself is beautiful. Sky high ceilings, minimalist, but with huge, colorful pictures of merino sheep, models wearing Icebreaker clothing, and pictures of New Zealand. This store really prides itself on its New Zealand roots. Friendly staff. Cool store. Check it out.
