The last time I was here All I did was quickly get a beer while I waited for the bus. This time I sat down on a nice Saturday afternoon with a project I was working on. The heated/covered patio is great when its not raining but a little chilly. I met some rad dogs and had 3 excellent pints of beer. Service is really friendly! I only got beer but I was still waited on in a timely fashion, seeing as I was outside. Patio is dog-friendly so I made a couple canine friends too. This was a great spot to spend a Saturday afternoon. Happy hour is pretty good for a microbrewery-$ 3.75 for most Lompoc brews, and even better pricing on Tuesday. The couple behind me really liked their food, which I have not tried. This is worth a 15 minute bus ride for me at least.

Great customer service and good pub food! I really love the Brewer’s Club and the Chicken Flatbread appetizer.

Instead of offering simple good food, which is what I’d expect from a small humble bar with TVs in every corner, it seems some menu items were trying to reach to be something they are not. For example, the baked mac and cheese was more of a noodle casserole with veggies added(peas, tomatoes, raw green onions). It would be better with just mac and cheese. The turkey club sounded amazing with tomato, basil mayo, arugula, and bacon, but the flavor just didn’t deliver. For some reason it didn’t come together and ended up disappointing and bland. The 3-cheese ale dip was tasty and an example of simple done well. Service was attentive. Quirky and laid back atmosphere, good for a casual drink and snack.

We stumbled across Hedge House on New Years Day because the places we wanted to go were closed… couldn’t have been happier! The food, service, beer, and atmosphere were incredible and I will definitely be back and tell others to stop by. So yummy!!! Had the Mac n Cheese and the Cheef Sandwich with coleslaw and chili and cherry sour beer.

Food was solid, beers well done. Didn’t expect some of the cobwebs, part of the charm I suppose. Great happy hour food prices and really good beer cheese dip.

The food, beer and ambiance are all good. But, if you are NOT A SPORTSBAR! Don’t Unilocal that you are! Say you are a Steelers bar period! One of the male waiters needs to learn a little bit about friendly service as well.

Came with three friends for a Steelers game. Pros: Awesome sound system for Steelers games — most bars don’t have any sound during games. Quirky converted house with character. Clean restaurant Clean bathrooms Cons: Absolute WORST bloody marys any of us had ever tasted. Tasted like tomato paste, kielbasa sausage water, and a splash of vodka. It’s been seven hours since I drank it and I’m still burping kielbasa. I didn’t eat kielbasa. I didn’t order food, but two of my friends did. It looked good; they said the pierogies were decent, but the sandwich was flavorless. Waiter with the 49ers hat had ZERO personality. Less than zero, actually. It was a relief when another server took over. All in all, we may come again but we’ll eat elsewhere on the way and we’ll stick with beer.

I stumbled on Hedge House after hanging out on Division with a friend and wanting a beer and food. We sat outside on the nice shaded patio area. They have some seasonally and locally brewed beers that were good and the service was overall pretty good. The food was pretty decent as well. I also got a cup of chili that was really good. The macaroni and cheese was meh. My friend got the brisket sandwich that he really enjoyed. This place is A-OK!

The cutest restaurant on Division. I was a Hedge House virgin, and let me tell you… I’d put that in my mouth again. I ate the mushroom flatbread appetizer and the Cheef sandwich with a good ol’ fashioned coleslaw and refreshing RC. Tell me another restaurant who serves RC cola?! The homey vibe and outdoor patio was comforting on an overcast, Oregon day. My server was fun and all smiles, which I appreciate. I loved how welcoming the restaurant was; folks just sitting on the front porch, sippin’ on a Bloody Mary. I felt like I was attending a cute, summer house BBQ.

Nurse me to health, oh frosty pint, as I stumble from my bike. Weary am I from 18 miles of pavement. Parched and sore. Offer me respite on porch or patio. Restore my spirits for that one last hill. Oh, do I suckle heavily from the teat of the keg. Tuesday, even more so. Many are the quaffing that share my indulgence. Smells of food permeate the breeze that sweeps over the tables, gnawing, teasing. Nachos overfill. I am greedy. IPA and LSD, letters that give solace to a welcome end. I must leave. The Hedge House knows my face.

This is a review on the venue as well as Happy hour! Yay! So to start off, they have an inside and outside. The outside is really cool with lots of patio space for sitting that is covered by umbrellas and trees with a great breeze! The inside is a little cozy, and they have a small AC unit in there that doesn’t do anything crazy but I’m sure it’s nice and warm inside when it is cold outside! The bathrooms are gross. I’m sorry I had to hold my breath! But that happens. It also awsn’t the worst bathroom I’ve ever been in at a bar. The Happy hour? Amazing! We got $ 3.5 pints as well as a $ 5 Hummus plate and $ 4 pulled pork sliders. All of which were GREAT. HH is from 4 – 6. The hummus plate and sliders were definitely my favorite, I can’t wait to go back for those! They were also playing like punk emo rock, yay! Not sure if that’s an everyday thing though. And something weird, on the door is says no minors allowed. But on the menu there is a kids menu?

This is not a sports bar. Don’t let the Unilocal page fool you, we walked in on the day of the last NBA Finals game and they didn’t even have the TV’s on. We were visiting Portland from California and not familiar with the area and we were just looking for a place to watch the game. When I asked if they were going to put the game on the servers asked me, «what game?»…Definitely not a sports bar. We were one of several couples who had all Unilocaled«Sports Bars» and figured we would try this one. It seems like a very family-friendly environment, there was some kind of family reunion going on outside, complete with crawling baby’s and everything. All of us there to watch the Warriors v. Cavs game though, ended up cramming into one little corner of the bar after we finally convinced our server to put the sound on the TV on rather than the blues-y country music. She gave us some bs excuse about how customers will complain or whatever. Finally she gave in and none of her other customers ended up complaining, as far as I know. The beers were good, and we only ordered the chips & salsa, which were good(I think the chips might have been house made?) but I am opposed to paying for something that is traditionally provided for free at other restaurants. The other customers there to watch the game with us were a blast, and the waitress generally just left us alone by the end of the game when we were kind of tipsy and excited the Warriors were winning. The TV kept losing power too, idk what is wrong with there electrical system. We ended up making the best of it. This place is okay, but it really shouldn’t be listed as a Sports Bar. It’s misleading.

I really like the roast turkey sandwich with sweet pepper relish and onion jam. I’ve been here twice and had it both times. Bbq flatbread is great and their huge patio can’t be beat on division no less! Good beer good times. Cheers

The hedge house, isn’t too far from where we live. I am definitely a fan of Lompoc’s $ 2.50 pint Tuesday or their happy hour. I usually only come to the hedge house when it’s nice and out, and sit out on their patio. The beer cheese dip is pretty tasty as well.

Cozy little place inside with a nice large patio to soak up all three hours of sunshine portland gets every year. . The man behind the counter was very helpful and provided generous sampling of the many Lompoc brews on tap. Great advice on places to go as I adventure through this urban wasteland. Can’t say much about the food as I was just checking the place out, but the menu was pretty much what you expect in pub food.

The atmosphere here is really nice, but the food was NOT good. I got the mushroom sandwich and something tasted off. I hope I don’t get sick. It also wasn’t all that cheap.

My family really likes craft beer, and I have a personal soft spot for winter brews. So when my out-of-state family decided to come to Oregon for Christmas, getting some local holiday beer to share was a no-brainer. And for holiday brews in Portland, nobody beats Lompoc. NOBODY. One bartender helped me decide how much of each brew to take(I was filling mason jars), and the other carried them to my car for me. I’ve also had dinner/drinks/snacks at this location, and the staff are always laidback but effective. The food itself is decent… maybe not super special, but never disappointing. The patio is smallish but super sweet, and they have a changing table in the bathroom! Lompoc: I’m a fan.

We love happy hour on a sunny day at Hedge House. The hummus plate is hands down the best hummus plate I’ve found in Portland. During happy hour, it is only $ 5 which is an added bonus. The outdoor seating area is great during the summer for groups. Beer menu is updated regularly and the seasonal selections are decent. Overall, the combination of the food, beer, and location at a reasonable price makes this a 5-star value.

This place is such a gem. I was in Oregon visiting last weekend and anyone who knows me i have a severe case of #FOMOF(Fear Of Missing Out on Football). We were down the street at Salt & Straw and quickly Unilocaled a sports bar to watch the 49er game. It’s a cute little house transformed into a bar. We were instantly greeted by the bartender. He offered us seating in the patio area and my first thoughts was hell no it’s freezing! But to our surprise they had heating lamps that made it very comfortable! Best thing yet, the bartender was a 49ers fan too!(Dont be intimidated by the Steelers flags, pictures and memorabilia) He changed the game to the one we wanted out in the patio. The only thing is that they don’t have sound but closed captioning would’ve been nice. Lots of drink choices for VERY reasonable prices. $ 4 for a bottle of beer cider?! I’m sold! They do serve food but we were too full from brunch and we really only wanted to grab a few beers and watch the game. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to catch a game, grab a drink and just hang out! I wish the Bay Area had more of these types of places back at home.
