After a year of dealing with sub-par haircuts at a reasonable price, I was so pleasantly surprised to find Fusion. Each time I’ve gone I’ve come out liking my hair cut and color more than ever before(which never happens, right?) and I’m so happy that I don’t have to break my bank in order to do it. This was the first haircut place that I’ve tried in the Multnomah/Hillsdale area, and I think its safe to say that I won’t be trying anymore.

The person I saw gave me a pretty bad cut that had to be fixed by another stylist, and I’m just a guy with short hair that wanted a caesar cut. Also she seemed unhappy with living here and hence wasn’t much to talk to. Bad cut, bad company + no bueno for me.

My wife and I still love coming here for our hair! Great service and conversation, tucked away in a nice little spot in Multnomah Village. We leave happy and satisfied every time.

Tamara– Although I appreciate your response, it really is far from the truth. I hope that others reading this will not have to have an experience like mine. I have been having my hair colored for 15+ years and have NEVER wrote a bad review– all positives. Why would I start now? First, I was never told that you do not stock all colors. Why show the book and ask me what I want if you can not provide what I ask for? Second, I was sparing your Mother’s feelings when after I wrote to the salon’s/your email address on my complaints and you wrote back with a single line back to me stating«I will talk with your stylist». That was it and I will post the email if you continue to make false statements. I did want to spare her feelings as I did not want you to go and tell her that I was unhappy. I would feel bad about that as I did not want to hurt her feelings, but now I do not and I guess I should have just let you tell her as maybe she should not be styling/coloring hair anymore. Third, I have no idea what you are talking about when you said that you have already told me that she used texturizing scissors and that was why my hair fell out in clumps(for 2 – 3 days). I have had my hair cut I am guessing 40+ times with the same scissors and this has never been my experience and it did freak me out. Fourth, if you had told me that the appointment would be more than a few minutes late I would have walked around the shops in the Village. It is a bit crazy to say that you told me this so I decided to sit for 25 minutes in the salon. Good try. Fifth, I also have the first email I sent you when I asked for a cut and color. You said to call the shop, which I did. I spoke with your Mother and she put me down for a cut and color. Then I called back a few days later to move up the appointment and spoke with you. Maybe you did not transfer the cut to the new date or maybe your Mom forgot to write it down, but I always schedule a cut and color. I would never schedule just a color(just ask my previous stylists). Sixth, you told me that the color I asked for was not in stock, but that you had something similar. You gave the book to your Mom and said that you had to get back to your client. Then your Mom and I picked out a color, then she went to go mix it and you went over and spoke with her in a lowered voice. I have no idea what you said, but I know the color I received was NOT the one your Mom and I picked out together. Seventh, if you can’t work with hair that has been dyed before you need to state that on your website or on the phone when someone makes an appointment. All I was asked was if I had henna in my hair which I told you I did not. You said that was the only type of hair that you could not work with. Eighth/Again, if you had replied with my complaint with a «I am so sorry, let me offer you a refund or come back and we will fix it” — I would have taken the refund and would have not wrote this review and just dropped it. I think people will be able to see right through that lie pretty easily. I did not write my review to hurt you or your Mother– I wrote this review in hopes that another person will not have to experience what I did. There are many organic salons in the Portland area to choose from and hopefully after they read my review they will not choose yours.

My partner and I both go to Tamara at Fusion Cut & Color Salon in Multnomah Village. I love her color work and artistic vision! A friendly and fun place, and the prices are very reasonable for organic color! We will continue to see her!

Here’s the deal– Not only do these ladies give great haircuts, at really reasonable prices, but they teach you stuff too! I got a super delicious bob from Tamara, but I learned how to keep it looking great. Tamara was meticulous(in a great way) in the way she cut and styled my hair, showed me all the products she used, and taught me how to blow dry it so it stayed looking good, and showed me all the styling tricks to keep it looking sassy.

BUTCHERED! Adrien… she did an extreme texture to my hair that means I have bold spots!!! She took texture scissors and cut to randomly INPLACES all the way to my scalp! I call it my chemo hair! After finding a GREATEXPERIENCED stylist… he said in his forty years… this was the worst thing he had seen. His staff came to view my chemo hair. This will take months to get the grow out spikes and bristles to lay down and not pock thur my now extremely thin locks. I try not to cry every morning when I tried to glue my hair around my peek thru scalp. Thanks to a great new stylist, he is working to fix the extreme damage and it will take at least eight more weeks to get the spike grow out to lay down. Plus more for the growing out bristles!

I cannot say enough good things about Fusion Cut and Color. The ladies who work there are amazing and fun and always make me feel welcome. I have weird hair — it grows all wonky in the back and no one has ever been able to do anything good with it in my life. When I leave this shop, I feel hot because they make my hair look great! Adrien cuts my hair and Tamara colors it. They are so skilled at what they do that if I have an idea that will not work for my body/face/skin tone, etc. they will make suggestions on will work for me which I appreciate so much! Their prices are great and like the other reviewer said, they have free beer and snacks. How can you beat that?(You can’t!) I literally have no allowed anyone other than these ladies to touch my hair since I found them 4 years ago.
