After playing hooky at St. Honore and having a long Friday afternoon lunch, the gang of pals and I literally stumbled upon this exquisite little hole-​in-​the-​wall antique store as we walked back to the car. In keeping with the French theme of the afternoon, we were happy to find the shop specialized in French antiques and also in some English and Italian pieces. We were greeted by the very warm and friendly proprietor who answered all our questions and was generally a real joy to have around. It is a small and beautifully decorated space, and she understands the need for friendliness and good customer service balanced out with allowing the customer to shop. The shop carries items at all price points, so I was able to buy a sweet container for pens and pencils for my desk for not much at all while sighing over items costing a few thousand dollars. The proprietor also has a design service available. She seems very resourceful and like someone very easy to work with in terms of getting a house decorated. This will be a shop I will return to visit because I found a lot of items that would be good for gift giving to myself and friends!
