D & J Nails Spa

I have been coming here for nearly 3 years now. I love this place because David and Jennifer are so dedicated to good customer service. Plus Jennifer does a fantastic preventing ingrown toenails! They have become so popular now I have to do a better job planning to get an appointment! Try them!

I am amazed that this couple can run this business on their own and do such quality work. It’s close to where I live, that is a big plus. I’ve been driving all over town trying to find a good place to have my nails done. This is something I rarely do, it is a special treat I allow myself every so often on my tiny musician budget. Thanks to D & J I will be able to treat myself more often since they are so affordable. Aside from the great price, they are fantastic at what they do. I had a mani pedi, my second with them, and it is a pleasure to be so pampered. The massage on my legs was dreamy. I didn’t feel rushed, something I find so common. I don’t like that assembly line feeling. D & J takes appointments which I like so I can be sure I won’t be waiting ages to be seen. The last couple of times at another salon I was a walk in. I asked if they had time. «Sure!» I was told and 30 minutes later I was finally given a seat where I sat and waited even longer to see someone. Not the case at D & J. Highly recommended. Nice to have this in the neighborhood.

Absolutely the best! Perfect example of small business at it best. Personal treatment and always remember you. If you don’t have an appointment you might have to wait but well worth it!!!

This place is SO $$$ for a French manicure. My friend walked in and asked and they said $ 10 extra for French. Uhhh, she was not having that and we walked out and went to Vienna’s. Can you guys implement some sort of discount please? Thank you.

My name is Janice. I have been going here for 1yr. David is a excellent nail tech very professional friendly & speedy. His wife Jennifer gives me the best pedicures to include removing a ongoing issue with a ingrown toe nail. She also does my waxes. She is professional & very competent & friendly. It’s best you make an appointment as this salon can be very busy at times.

This is my first time here and I love it! Family business, extremely reasonable prices, and warm owners/​operators. I went for a pedicure, the woman was so attentive and thorough. We had a great conversation as well. They now have a loyal customer in me!

Fantastic $ 25 pedicure.
A callous treatment was included, as well as a brief but very nice massage at the scrub and lotion stages. The lotion feels very cooling and refreshing. The nail tech was super gentle but thorough.
Basic (very thin) flip flops available in case you forgot yours like I did.
They took me as a walk-​in on a weekday afternoon with no wait.
., And now I’m feeling relaxed and ready for sandal season!

Been seeing Jennifer for 4 years now once a month for a mani and pedi. I feel like she is part of my family, a therapist, and a great nail tech! She is an expert at removing painful ingrowns with no pain! I will keep coming back!

This place is great! My friend and I went in to get our nails done this past week and had a great experience. I got french tip gel nails and my friend got a set of acrylics. We were both pleased with the results and intend to go back again. The owners are very kind, do a great job, and their prices don’t break the bank!

Went in to get my full set done, we started early 1130 didn’t finish til 1:00!!! I finally had to let him know I had to go. I won’t come again my nails are very flat no hump I did get them fixed 28 bucks down the drain.

This was my second time going here and once again I loved it!
The first time I got a mani/​pedi. I’m extermely shy especially in new situations (I hadn’t been in a nail solon since my friend’s mom took us when we were 10). Both of them were friendly. Jennifer did both my pedicure and manicure. She didn’t try to force conversation as I sat there silently. She did speak up to make sure I comfrontable from time to time though. Once I warmed up we had a lovely conversation!
The second time in she recgonized me from before. This time it was just a pedicure and was just as wonderful as the time before.
I will recomend you make an appointment, since there is only the two of them.

Great salon! If you want the cookie cutter type of salon, this isn’t the place for you. If you want attentive service then come to D and J. I see many people drop in wanting express service from whoevers available. If that’s what you want head north my friend where they will give you want you want, but not what your looking for.

Not impressed. Sign says walkins accepted. Other sign says open until 7 so I walked in. It is 4:17. The lady greeted me warmly but told me she couldn’t do my pedicure and eyebrows because she had an appointment.
Maybe I will try again some other time based on the other reviews and the fact that she was nice. For now, off in search of a salon.

I just had the nicest, most relaxing deluxe pedicure with Jennifer, the J of D&J. I’m terribly ticklish and she has a knack for handling pressure and scrubbing so sensitive feet don’t get over-​sensitized. I appreciated that she was only as chatty as I felt like being, so I was able to quietly relax without feeling awkward. The polish is lovely, my skin soft, I got in on 15m notice, and they’re an independent business. Everything I like to support! I’ll be back for sure.

This is my favorite nail salon in Portland. I have ingrown toenails and sensitive feet, and have had problems at other salons, but never at D & J, as their work is always very careful and detailed. All of the work is done by the owners, David and Jennifer, who are two of the loveliest, nicest people you will ever meet. Their work is top-​notch and they make you feel like family!

Loved the warm neck pad, but the man who did my nails did a horrible job. He didn’t get all of the old polish off before he put on the new layer so now I can only wear dark polishes because there are speckles of red in my nails. He also didn’t know how to properly shape my nails and was almost making them all pointy instead of simply rounded. Very frustrating. I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. Thank goodness the gal polished them.

Always walk right in with no wait! Super nice. Wax treatment with manicures was free and great. Also, Jennifer is really sweet!

This place is awesome! $ 35 for a spa pedicure and manicure — they took GREAT care of us. For a second I thought we’d done the deluxe pedicure because of the long massage and great care they took painting the nails — but it was just the regular option. Amazing.
Go on a week night. Was empty, but for my friend and I, and wonderful.

What a fab visit! I came for a good old mani-​pedi, but got so much more. Warm neck pad, hot steamy towel for my feet & hot wax for my hands! David & Jennifer are so kind and attentive. They have a new loyal customer here!

Finally a nail salon that you can breathe in!
