I had a turkey burger and fruit cup. The burger had cranberries on it. I would have never thought to put cranberries on a burger, but it was so good! The waitress was also super sweet!

Happy hour is legit!!! Fast on the food, delicious and proper drinks. General clientele is older than our group but the patio was fun. Nice stop before a concert at MODA. Service was spectacular, genuine and kind. NOTE: only worth the happy hour prices.

Restaurant conveniently located off the lobby of the Courtyard Portland Downtown /Convention Center. We went to the 4:00PM Garth Brooks Concert at the MODACENTER and walked back to the hotel looking for a place to have dinner(~7:30PM). Nice sit down restaurants are kind-of-scarce in the Convention Center location. This restaurant worked perfect fully for our gastorial requirements. Spinach Artichoke Dip was very good appetizer. Needed more baguettes with the dish however. Chicken Alfredo Flatbread was good. The buffalo chicken salad and the steak salad was very good. My Rosemary Chicken entrée was nicely prepared. Wine mark-ups were pretty good. We had Mary Hill(WA) Red Blend @$ 36.00 /bottle. The ambiance is a little strange. It definitely felt like you were in a hotel environment and the service was a little disjointed. The kitchen was pretty efficient of getting the dishes out in a timely order.

I didn’t expect much eating here. I only went here because there really aren’t other options, and my mom had just gotten to town and we wanted dinner but she had just gotten checked in, and around the Lloyd Center there just aren’t many options. I got a pasta dish and was pleasantly surprised. It was well seasoned, and a fairly reasonable price. It’s not a place that I’d drive up from SE to go to specifically, but for what it is they definitely earned four stars. The staff were friendly, the food was good, and the drinks weren’t watered down. Unless someone I know is staying at the Courtyard or another hotel near by I doubt I’ll be back, but for what it is I was very satisfied.

Lacking in character in typical bland hotel bar/restaurant style, but actually my food was pretty delicious, our server/bartender was really friendly, and the drinks were well poured. Not a Portland highlight, but if you’re in the kind of boring convention center area and need something to eat or drink it’s a totally legit option.

Inside the recently remodeled Courtyard near the convention center. Clean, modern interior. Good service. Limited but full menu(appetizers, soups/salads, entrees, desserts). The bone-in rosemary chicken was good, but the vegetables were swimming in butter. Anyway, it was a nice break from the usual Courtyard Bistro fare.

The bar is generally low for hotel restaurants. This place however is OK. As you expect the prices are slightly higher than restaurants outside the facility. I will never understand why, but it is the way the world works. I guess you pay for convenience. I ordered the lamb burger with french fries. The lamb burger was good. It seemed to be about a third of a pound. It was topped with tasty feta and roasted red peppers. The meat was a touch dry, but that is tough to avoid with ground lamb. The fries were OK. They were not my favorite type, but they were just fine.

Review for the bar only: Pint prices in 12-oz. glasses. Bar staff goes missing. Drink here only if you’re just too tired to go find somewhere better.

Reading the past reviews, I guess not much has changed about the happy hour over three years. Happy hour specials were limited to appetizer specials. Tried the macaroni and cheese; only that they ran out of macaroni so they asked if I would take a pasta substitute like fettucine. I agreed thinking they’d throw in the fettucine using the same cheese as the mac&cheese. They gave me fettucine alfredo. Hmmn. The bartenders in the place were aloof with one metrosexual guy seemingly being annoyed at serving us even though we were the only people in the bar. I guess we were interrupting his regular grooming behind the bar. The bar also closes at 11pm on a weeknight.
