I believe this place is closed. Or, just has very irregular hours. I have gone by several times over the last couple of months and it has not been open. Sorry to see it go…

I may not have been to their Alder Street location, but I enjoyed Café Rinella at Festa Italia in Pioneer Square. The experience for me exceeded five stars, but hey, you have to limit the number somewhere. When I walked up to their booth, Café Rinella had a modest menu of fettuccine and other pastas. The fair imposed a unique payment system where I needed to buy tokens to buy the food, but Café Rinella guided me through it in about twelve coherent seconds. They even offered to start making my chicken fettuccine alfredo while I paid and they did. Upon returning, they reminded me and about two minutes later and I was given a plate of beautiful pasta that was $ 10. Drinks were at a nearby booth, but since the location is at a café, that shouldn’t be an issue at their physical location. As I delved into the fettuccine, it felt creamy and the pasta was thin and absolutely al dente! Their decision to focus on how the pasta tastes and not other nonsense was as wise as the orderly words of Confucius. Aspiring celebrity chefs, take note. Can you build a bridge on a weak foundation? No! They made the foundation which is their pasta to be good and that carried more weight than any ingredient except the divine bacon can. There should not fancy sauces without good pasta. This is like evolution, not a difficult concept, but yet it gets forgotten among some chefs. A small plastic fork could grasp the pasta so well. The cheese felt not too much, not too little and my taste buds had a bachelor party. And like spicing up a party with fine music, they spiced it up with a good command of spices. Café Rinella was astonishing to say the least.

It was a few weeks back when I was stuck behind the train. And I noticed a cute little café to my right so I decided to park and go in. They had such healthy options on pasties and the breakfast menu was absolutely superb. Since then I have been going there 4 days a week. … Oh I forgot to mention the cilantro sauce on some of their options. Hands down a must go to eat

Stumbled upon this place while waiting for the train to pass. The Pannini wraps are a delicious, affordable breakfast. I will be back.
