I love this little market in the heart of SE/Central PDX. It’s perfectly accessible by bicycle. Lately, the vendors have offered tempting baked goods, kombucha, and of course, local berries during the summer months. The musicians are great and the modest size of the market makes it an intimate space to enjoy one of the great features that make this community such a livable place. There is a small nuisance that probably falls on the vendors rather than PFM: Tokens. There is a minimum purchase and it comes in fixed denominations. Yes, You can end up with cash and that’s fine, but the whole process amounts to a seemingly unnecessary complication to an otherwise enjoyable shopping experience. About 50% of the vendors use Square on their phones to process credit cards. I would just encourange vendors to consider joining the 21st Century. You may include a minimum purchase, a fee or offer a cash discount. Just a suggestion…

This a great neighborhood farmers market. There are several veggie/fruit stands, a lady that sells REALLY good homemade ice cream, a guy that sells local grass fed beef, plus much more. In case you felt like hanging around, there were some chairs and tables and a nice guy playing acustic music. Really nice neighborhood FM.
