Their bread sucks! They don’t even toast their bread. It’s not tasty or good quality food.

Good place to stop while shopping. I just had the southwest ceaser salad which was good. My wife loved her St Johns Turkey Cranberry sandwich. Even came with a cookie. Staff was very nice. Very clean.

The food is amazing, the cookies are fantastic. I’d give full stars but every time I go there(mainly for cookies for either work or home, I work in the mall) the customer service is terrible. They are short and very rude. The last time I went I asked why kind of tomato soup the soup was, and got an «I don’t know. It’s soup with tomato and cheese» that was it. Nothing else. I went ahead a got it but she didn’t take a second to ask any of the other employees. I’ve also witnessed them talk to one another about a customer who was still in front of them saying«ugh I can tell today is going to be a long day». I would recommend this place for the food but the service, is terrible. And I’d say that as well.

Had sandwich and soup combo + free cookie and roll — everything under $ 10. Food was good and staff is friendly.

Great place for sandwiches and soup! Their cookies are tasty too! Quick service and all the staff Are friendly. I eat here weekly because I work in the mall and it is the best place to eat in the food court.

So I have come back several times since my last review and I must say service has improved tremendously. Thank you for listening to your customers!

Bridge City Café in the Lloyd Center is generally a srug of the shoulder. It has good prices, with okay food and the speed can be a bit slow. There are plenty of loaves, pastries and salads to chose from, especially with their large cookie selection. Seating is all around the food court, with there even being furniture in a small part of the middle. I went here after having been to Bridge City Café before in Pioneer Place. Their cookie I had a few months ago was not impressing me, though it was not bad, but certainly not as good as Elephant’s Deli cookies. This time I had a toasted bagel with cream cheese for two dollars. The employee handeling the bagel was quick, but one person with a credit card was enough to stall for two minutes. The bagel was good, being comparable to a better supermarket bagel. There was no originality in the cream cheese, provided by Kraft. It was still a hearty snack, but it isn’t as good as something from a bagel shop or other bakeries. Bridge City Café is reasonable for a mall snack.

Slow workers! They are all slow! I’m a mall employee on lunch break. I been in line for 7 mins. Like they didn’t get enough sleep.

My wife and I ate here today. Wow — I had forgotten how good the turkey/cranberry sandwich and the tomato gorgonzola soup were. Both were very, very tasty. The deduction of one star was based on the tea. It was old and stale. The pleasant employee refunded that to us as they were out of diet Coke which would have been a good alternative. So I hope they get their drink issues fixed. The food is really good!

I like their salads but the sandwiches are not as good. Though there are not many places to eat in the mall, this is the one place i know i can get something tasty to eat.

This is the only place in the mall I will eat at. The staff is very friendly, a few of them even remember my order, I like that it shows you have great customer service skills and it makes people feel important. I have had a few of the sandwich’s and really like them, the sourdough bread is my favorite. The new chicken salad is really good. I must say the one guilty pleasure I have is the cookies, they are some of the best I have ever ate. I few of us at work will take turns buying a box of cookies for our store. They usually have two soups for the day and the pasta salads are really tasty.

Love the food love the place however I have made several trips to go there and they are always out of the croissant ham and turkey sandwiches where the cheese and meat are baked inside, i have tried early in the mourning and they never have any on the weekend, Was a better place when it was Paradise Bakery somehow its changed.

LATELATELATE First time order: 50 lunches for delivery… 30 minutes LATE. Pushed our meeting off schedule. Tried them a second time a couple weeks later. On time, but showed up with only half of my order. Had to go back for the rest of our order making them LATE again. Fast forward almost 2 years to today — thought I’d try them again, hoping they would have turned over that group of staff members. You guessed it — LATE again. Lucky for me, I ordered an hour ahead of when I needed them. I will not be ordering from this company again. Which really sucks, because they have a pretty tasty product.

This place isn’t exciting or new, but it’s pretty okay. The bagels are decent(like any other bagel), and only cost around $ 1. Adding cream cheese on the side will throw you back another $ 1. The chippers, in my opinion, are not worth it. I’ve tried every flavor, and they all feel chalky in your mouth, rather than cookie-like. The least chalky, though, would have to be the chocolate ones with the white chocolate chips(the name slips my mind). The salads, made of chopped romain with some toppings haphazardly thrown on, really taste like a store-bought salad. The chicken in my caesar was cold, dry, and tasteless, but I kind of expected that. The service, too, is average. Although, this rating is 3 star rather than 2 because I had a nice experience with one of the staff members. He accidentally«burned» my bagel(there was just a little bit of brown on the edge, which is something I’d prefer). He kept apologizing and I reiterated that it was all fine, but he still insisted that I take a cookie, anyway. And, the cookie was good! Nothing mind-blowing, but there’s something about free-cookie taste that just makes you feel like a child on the inside again. In short, don’t expect to be wowed, but expect consistently average food and quick service.

The man who waited on me was nice but looked frightened, and the woman making the sandwiches was friendly and outgoing but clearly in a mental state of chaos. I knew my visit was a mistake when«no mayo, no cheese» almost caused a nervous breakdown. Then I wanted the bread toasted. How dare I? The woman sort of scolded me for wanting the bread toasted, but it’s so gummy otherwise. Not a remedy, because my sandwich was so slathered with mayo(probably 3 tablespoons on each side) that the entire sandwich was soaked by the time I got it to work. The cheese was easy to pull off, but there was hardly anything else on it. If you must stray from the menu, go somewhere else.

I got a Living Social deal here and tried it out the other night. The lady working the counter was so unenthusiastic about helping us, taking out order, making eye contact, completing her sentences… I asked her what the soup of the day and she pointed at the sign without even looking up so I took my crappy, bland veggie sandwiches without a thank you or goodbye.

I am sitting at the Bridge City Café after devouring a yummy bowl of soup, half a veggie sandwich(absolutely delish), and a chocolate chip cookie. It was a seamless experiencing of ordering and simply paying and the goodies just«appeared».(In a very short time they disappeared!!) So good. BCC has free wi-fi, and good music. The staff is efficient, and interested in providing the customer with the best experience possible. What more could I want?

This whole review feels like a diatribe of backpedalling, but here it is: I’m not a high-maintenance eater, with the exception of my low spice tolerance. In fact, I’d say I’ve got a pretty solid constitution for less-than-healthy food. You may refer to my list of drive-thru joints and related love of fries and milkshakes to verify. And Paradise has the veneer and reputation of actually being a healthier alternative, especially given a mall food context. Also: I’m not the craziest stickler for total sterilization. I absolutely appreciate the Julia Child what-they-don’t-know-won’t-hurt-them mentality. But sometimes I get this thing where the hands that prepared my food make me a little uneasy. I noticed it recently when a homeless man my parents took in kindly volunteered to make a quiche, without having washed his hands or cut his nails in… possibly, literally, months. Don’t get me wrong(backpedal, backpedal): the folks behind the counter here weren’t that far gone, but they were, to put it plainly, a little worse for wear. The lady putting together my sandwich had a noticeable amount low-hanging bare belly exposed, using it(albeit inadvertently) to brush crumbs off of the countertops and not — I hoped — into my sandwich. The man helping her out had an 11 o’clock shadow and a shaggy mane of unmanaged locks, which I vaguely remember being a no-no in the food prep field. Neither wore any kind of gloves, which normally wouldn’t bother me, but for whatever the reason, and I’m probably not describing it properly(backpedal), with the whole package, I just felt a little uncertain. I think, a la Julia, I’d just rather not know. I sort of wish they’d kept the prep surface and persons hidden from view. My sandwich tasted just fine… as did the homeless man’s quiche… but my brain just couldn’t turn off the sketchy preparation situation. I had to take a break and come back at that sandwich a little later. It was sort of like eating turkey on wheat with a side of despair. If it weren’t in the mall — a shining sandwich and salad beacon among an oily sea of Chicken Connections and Steak Escapes — this link of the chain would probably get docked another star. But honestly, maybe that’s the point. It may look like a sweet little bistro oasis, but it still walks and talks like a mall food court. Damn you, skewed expectations.

Ordered a chicken salad sandwich on wheat! Then, I just refrigerated and watched people bailing on their double axels and gripping for dear life to the border rails at the downstairs skate rink… Digestion took place over a pleasant conversation with a soul searching fellow who just so happened to be selling Christian Science books behind the guise of Free Stress Tests. He was nice! I would strongly suggest following these steps for your next lonely meal in this mall. The sandwich was good. Really good. They threw in a moist chocolate chip cookie without even a mention that it was a bonus. Once we ventured outside the mall though, I kicked myself for staying cooped up indoors all day when I could’ve been rolling in grass near fountains in the huge shade of Portland’s crazy canopy.
