Has some great classes, but even after a year under new ownership(Roy Kim — he and his company own everything around here), they still have A LOT of improvement a to make: 1.Group ex area needs all new equipment 2. Walls need to be repainted throughout 3. Weight area needs thorough cleaning and sticky notess taken off of machines 4. Yoga studio needs revamping 5. Children need to be better supervised — not allowed in group ex area Etc…

I’ve seen a lot of improvements in BAC as promised by the new management which took over not too long ago, hopefully for good this time. They have new equipment and the group exercise classes especially the ones led by Stacey(the main reason I have a membership) have always been the best. And I think the membership prices are reasonable for what is offered.

This used to be a nice gym but has now deteriorated to nothing. Services are hit and miss and the changes in ownership have made it substandard. When I inquired about discontinuing the membership they gave me the run around and charged three times the monthly fee to stop. They clearly have no sense of customer service. I suspect it is on a path to shut down and they are squeezing the current members for everything they can get. Not worth the risk since there are several other gyms with better amenities and clearly better customer service.

If you sign up for a membership, be prepared to be paying these people for the rest of your life. Because they won’t let you out without paying hundreds of dollars«per the contract you signed». You have to GOTHERE to cancel. They won’t do it over email. Then they charge you the current month PLUSTHENEXTMONTH. What is this, an apartment? Do I need to leave you a pet deposit too? And don’t think you can just cancel payment to get the monthly hemorrhage to stop. You’ll start racking up fees there too. You’d think with all the competition in Portland for gyms that they would want to make people happy. Honestly if this hadn’t happened I would have been happy to write a nicer review for them because I recognize the difficulties in running a business and being perfect all the time. They fail the one rule in business, keep the customer happy. Happy I am most certainly not!
