Very disappointed! A dog grooming place? Ha! Never again will i take my dog there. Even after I told them how my dog behaves they couldn’t dry him, cut his hair or trim his nails! No other groomer has ever had a problem with him! Very unprofessional, upsetting and a waste of my time and money, and not to mention the stress put on my dog!

This place is one of my favorites. I only take my dog here for Bathtime. The water is hot and the towels are big and fluffy and you have many different choices for shampoo. Everything is easily located close to where you need it to be. The tubs are extremely ergonomic for getting to all parts of the dog. And last but not least the attendants are very very helpful and always delightful to interact with. Water is hot!!!

Easy place to bring your dog and put him/​her up in a tub and do the wash yourself. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Everyone says to avoid the Monday AM rush! We do.

Yikes. I don’t go to these do-​it-​yourself places often, but have always had good experiences in other shops. I came in here a few weeks ago, and was the only person there. I was barely acknowledged when I walked in, and had to ask to figure out what shampoos and things they offered… had to find the other towels/​aprons and things myself. She sorta pointed me towards a tub, then went back to her phone. Was absolutely less than interested in even the tiniest bit of small talk or polite conversation about their services. I definitely won’t be back here or recommending it to others… not only because the tubs have awfully low sides for us with big dogs (resulting in getting very wet, even while wearing an apron) but because i haven’t received that much disdain for entering a place of business maybe ever. So sorry to interrupt your Facebooking dear, don’t worry… won’t happen again.

Last year I brought my cat in here for a lion shave and had a great experience. It was the first time I had him shaved, and since I was with him the entire time I told the girl to just stop at his shoulders, since I didn’t want him to be too stressed out. It only cost $ 35, which is a great deal, plus they handled him immediately at the scheduled appointment time, so we were in and out fast, keeping his potential stress levels to a minimum. I was happy to find a place that fit my needs so well.
Sadly, when I brought him in today, for another scheduled appointment, it was really upsetting to not have the same experience. First, both groomers were finishing up with a set of dogs, so I asked how long it would be before he was ready. I was told a couple of hours. Since I know it doesn’t take hours for the shave and I had scheduled an appointment I found this very upsetting. To me, leaving a cat in a kennel full of dogs and loud noises for hours before shaving him is just not acceptable. After telling the groomer that I was not okay with this and asked what the point of scheduling an appointment was if they aren’t going to keep the appointment times I set. The response was they tell people to expect it to take up to 4 hours. Seriously? No one told me that, and I still don’t see how this can be considered acceptable for a cat, when they don’t have a separate place to kennel the cats. She also pointed out the other dogs that she had to take care of first, and that if I didn’t want such a long wait I should have dropped him off first thing in the morning. The groomer eventually agreed to have him done in an hour, which I grudgingly accepted since the shave was really needed. She asked if I wanted him done the same as last time and I told her I wanted a full shave so he just had a ruff and to leave his tail fluffy. The groomer did get him taken care of in an hour, but she didn’t actually give him a full shave and left all the hair on his shoulders and front front legs, not down to a ruff.
I guess this is what I get for not going to a place that is cat grooming specifically, but I just expected better after that first experience. Since he is so well behaved I’m just going to buy my own clippers and take care of it myself from now on, and fix what was left behind today.

My dog saw me in the window when I came to pick her up. By the time I got into the building, the guy working there was YELLING at her to settle down. She doesn’t bark but she wags her tail so much when she is excited that her butt wiggles and was hitting the side of the cage, big deal!!. She is 14lbs, a Chinese Crested Powderpuff. The guy was startled when he came into the register area and saw me there. He didn’t hear me come in. I paid, didn’t tip, and never stepped foot in there again. Don’t you talk to to my fur child like that, I will get fierce!

While not as cutesy as some of the other dog bath spots in town, Beauty for the Beast is cheaper. And when I’m cutting poopy fur off my dog’s bum, all sense of ambiance is lost, so I may as well just go to the place that’s the most affordable, right? Right.
So far, for us that means trips to Beauty For The Beast. It costs us $ 32 to bring them both in and clean them up ourselves. While that’s still just crazy when you think about it, it’s still a better deal than anywhere else we’ve found here in town.
All of the equipment and fixtures are up to standard and the place seems clean and nice. If you’ve got to wash your dogs, this might as well be the place.

I’m a bit torn. Price was good, they were very friendly, and the dog looked great. The dog also had cuts from the clippers on her belly though. I think they should have let me know when I picked her up that they were sorry but it happened. Instead I found it later. These things happen from time to time though and I may give them another try in the future.

$ 14 to self wash my Corgi. After romping through dirt and puddles at 1000 Acres she was pretty muddy. It is nice that they have larger sinks and a couple smaller ones to wash your dog in. I wish they had a better selection of brushes to use but not a big deal to us.
Parking can be tricky so go early.

We gave our two dogs a bath at Beauty for the Beast and loved the space. The tubs are a great size and more importantly for us the blow dryers are powerful. We were very happy with the final product and also happy to discover a frequent bath card for a free wash after twelve baths. We will be back!

Took my dirty beast to the groomers here. They worked a miracle and he is now a beauty. Smells better too!
All trimmed up pretty and nails and ears are good too. He is a bigger guy and it is too hard for me to do this — so am very grateful I have found a place that 1) can handle a scared and nervous dog and 2) did it at such a great price.
Magnum is so happy — he is grinning and seems very proud to be a beauty again!

It’s got everything I need, when I need it. Not as wide a selection of products as a full pet store, but that’s because half the space is given over to the doggie-​wash, which is a wonderful thing when you need it. Very practical. Wonderful business to have in the neighborhood.

I love what these people do with my kitties! I have taken them here before, but for some reason this last visit was just stellar. Muffins had developed some matted fur on her back and I was not comfortable «removing» them myself– I don’t know how they did it, but she came home good as new– no missing fur, claws trimmed and they both smell and look like kitty royalty! They were quick and even got Muffins to behave while being groomed. Worth every penny spent.

Always friendly staff and knowledgable about pets and the pampering they need. The facilities are clean and all the equipment is in good working order. There is a nice store as well, not the cheapest in town, but good stuff.

So I made an appointment for my Dog Oscar @ Beauty for the Beast expecting to get him trimmed up for the winter– I have a Havaton male dog. My husband and I came in expecting to be greeted, we were ignored. A employee asked us the name of out dog, grabbed him and instantly put him in a crate. I asked the groomer to keep him long just trim him up. I said keep his beard and stache and just trim his eyes to where he can see. She asked me «Like a Benji?» I said yes. FOUR hours later we picked him up and she asked us to go pay in the store front. I asked to see him first and to my horror his body was completly uneven his neck was shaved and his face was basically shaved. He looks like a poodle spaniel!!! I told them I was very un happy and that he looks NOTHING like that was dicused. They said that a Benji is a terrier. I showed them pictures of multiple Benji dogs and then they (the owner) told me they make their own version on a Benji, and ‘next time’ just tell them to cut him like a classic Benji. I will NEVER be back and recommend nobody goes there either!!!

I went here for an ‘emergency’ bath. My pup is small enough to do in the sink at home, but not only did I not realize he needed a bath (badly) before leaving for obedience class, his coat is getting thicker by the day and the grooming books warn it is difficult to properly towel dry a pomeranian.
So I called to make sure they were open and ask the price and the girl who answered was very helpful. They had a good selection of shampoos and I used one of the big sinks at the back for my little guy. Their hose was much more convenient than the one on my sink, the apron kept me dry, and I was able to attach the chain to his harness to wash him without him jumping out of the sink.
Definitely easier and more thorough than a home wash even though at home I have my husband’s help.
Then they had a table to dry him. I made a loop of the hanging arm lead thing to hook to his harness so he couldn’t fall off the table, if you have a toy sized dog, don’t hook it to his collar! The power drier worked great except I now know a whole lot of hair is going to come with the air, lol.
The only complaint I have is that the place didn’t clean out the grooming tools between dogs and I was irrationally grossed out by the left-​behind hair in the brush at the grooming table so I wasn’t able to brush out my puppy. Next time I’d bring my own brushes from home.
I also loved the selection of treats and toys at the attached store. It made for a very convenient trip which saved me the embarrassment of a sticky puppy in class.

During the summer we just hose the pup outside and sop some shampoo on his coat and he’s good to go. But when it’s cold and crappy outside (Nov-​June) it seems inhumane to do an outside bath and yet even more cruel to let the dog smell terrible, this is when BFTB is the place to go.
It’s all pimped out with everything you need for a great bathing experience.

Noticed it’s been awhile since anyone reviewed BFTB so I’ll add my 2 cents…
We’ve taken our Golden Retriever here for years to give him his baths. Any owner of a big haired canine friend knows, bathing your dog at home can be a messy pain and BFTB makes this chore very easy. The main rank of tubs are walk-​up, coated with a non-​skid surface, and large enough to handle your biggest beast while there are also smaller, stand-​up sink/​tubs in the back to comfortably wash your pocket pets.
A nice selection of soaps are available to choose from including those for sensitive skin dogs (re: golden retriever). Water proof chain collars, doggy scrubbies, and dry towels are provided as well as long rubber aprons to keep your clothes dry while you wash your pooch. If your dog doesn’t mind a blow dry, there are also grooming tables where you can dry and brush your buddies coat out.
All of this with the wonderful luxury of not having to pick the shed hair out of the drain or off the floor of your bathroom once you are done.
The store, connected to the launderette is well stocked and checking out with your dog is like having a 6 year old in the impulse-​buy candy section. Bones, chews, squeak toys flank the counter and we’ll often leave with a treat for the big guy, cause he’s «sush a gooowd bwoy».

This place is diagonal to Starbucks, hard to find, but definitely a must try.
When you first enter the store, you pass through what I call the doggie shower room. There are a large number of big metal tubs with all shower heads, shower extension, and your doggie’s own drying place. There is always a doggie there, enjoying him/​herself. The odor of all the dogs is noticeable but understandable. My dog is afraid of dog but loves meeting other dogs, so it was a little interesting giving him a bath there. I recommend a more well trained dog than mine if you want to go and use this faciility.
Every doggie place is never complete without a doggie store, and this place is not exception. There are so many health conscience dog food that my brain nearly exploded from wondering which to purchase. I recommend asking the store clerk.
It’s a real treat for dogs, so do make a commitment to take your dog here once awhile.
