Can’t rate the food because I never actually managed to get my order. The service, however, was really bad. My husband and I ordered sandwiches before a flight. When we ordered, I asked the cashier how long our order would take and was told that it would be no more than 10 minutes. More than 15 minutes later, we were still waiting. Then they ran out of pork(they were already out of chicken). A staff member offered us a refund, but the refund of the customer ahead of us took so long that we weren’t able to wait, as our flight was boarding by this time. Another staff member then told us to call Daniel, the owner, to request a refund. I have now called their office twice and have not received a call back. So, in short, crap service, wildly disorganized, and dishonest. Boo hiss.

Their chicken banh mi was delicious, and I was surprised at how big it was for the price. Also, if you like bubble tea, you should definitely try the Honeydew bubble tea smoothie. Very refreshing. I’ll definitely be coming back to this place next time I come through the Portland Airport.

A great banh mi at a very fair price for an airport location! The bread was crackly and the meat was flavorful. Wife was less impressed with her chicken bowl, said it was healthy but lacked flavor. Service was friendly.

Who knew Vietnamese food in an airport would be so good?! There were a lot of options around but after a weekend filled with all kinds of food, we wanted something light and relatively healthy. Vietnamese food is always a refreshing option so I went with a vermicelli bowl. Their fish sauce concoction was delicious! It has a bit of chili in it so it was perfectly spicy. Vegetables were fresh and meat was plentiful. We also ordered a honeydew slush just for the heck of it, even though we saw that they used powders and it probably would be mediocre. But it was actually super good, not watery, not powdery, and super yummy! Wish this was an actual place to visit outside of the airport and back home, because I’d be coming here everyday for lunch!

Wanted to eat here but couldn’t. They have a vegetarian phở on their menu that comes with vegan broth. I was very excited because I love phở and was incredibly surprised to find vegan friendly phở at an airport. Yes, even in PDX. When I went to order the guy at the counter mumbled something about them not having it. I though maybe because it was breakfast time they weren’t serving yet and asked. But he said they don’t have the vegan broth. So I could get the veggie phở with a different broth. Well, uh, no thanks. So to have that on their menu, but not actually having it was ridiculous. I’m assuming they never do, but I’m definitely going to check next time I fly.

Veggie phở was just decent, the fried rice is absolutely disgusting. Tastes like microwaved veggies and instant rice. The worst I’ve ever had! Aside from it tasting like it’s been frozen and reheated several times it also has some really strange kinda sweet flavor. Just gross. I should have gone to the sandwich place next door. This was a total waste

Very friendly workers. They had a pretty big line and they looked kinda stressed. Maybe they just need to schedule more workers to work considering how busy it was. But other than that, the guy that took my order at the register was super friendly and the food was okay.

Phở at the airport? You’re crazy! Bambuza does a great job at it. As you may know, Portland has tons of great food and even the airport of all places has food that I would actually eat. Name another airport where you can get a bowl of piping hot beef phở and freshly wrapped spring rolls? I betcha can’t. You might be wondering who in the right mind would have phở at an airport of all places. I’m just crazy enough to do it, for science! If you’re looking for a bowl of phở that will knock your socks off, you’re not going to get it here. If you want to satisfy your hunger and slurp down some noodles, you’re definitely having your wish fulfilled today. The noodles are great, the beef is thinly sliced, and all of the condiments are available at your disposal. The spring rolls were also fresh and the lettuce was crisp. They even have a pager to notify you when your order is ready. So grab yourself a seat in the food court, fill yourself up with some delicious soup, and head into your plane with a full stomach. It’s always a plus to point out that this place takes credit cards(AMEX too).

Slow, slow, slow service. I waited over 20mins for a sandwich; my little electronic notifier never buzzed so I eventually asked for my money back. They didn’t seem too apologetic that they forgot about me. I won’t be going back. There are plenty of good service places to eat around there.

Airport food… yeah I’m going here! I always worry about quality when I eat at an airport. It’s notorious for being overpriced and underwhelming. All that ends at Bambuza. I was starving and it was late, some veggie salad rolls hit the spot!!! Great mixture of vermicelli, fresh veggies, lettuce, and nicely done fried tofu to round it out, neatly wrapped with some tasty peanut sauce. I love it when you get a perfect mixture of protein, carb, and veg all rolled into one. At $ 6.50 for 3 big rolls cut in half I felt there was a good value. Very nice young ladies working there offering good service, and keeping everything neat and tidy. I will be back for my next flight out of PDX. They have an impressive selection of stir fry and various noodle dishes I’d love to try. Got the sense it was not a phở specialty place, they focus on other Vietnamese classics, but they do have some phở options. Better for the airport anyway.

Good prices | Good food $ If you’re looking for Asian food, go here. Prices aren’t high for being at an airport, they’re reasonable. I was definitely full after getting the honey glazed chicken bowl. It came with rice, chicken and greens. I was set for our 6 hour journey home.

I ate here a second time recently. Service was great! The cashier was excited to hear that I love phở and actually pronounce it correctly. She said their chicken phở was really good and I took her up on her suggestion. Their phở is pretty darn good for it being airport food. The chicken broth was clear and not oily. You get a good portion and all the veggies that phở usually comes with. I’d eat here again!

Bambuza is always a treat! We lived in Oregon for two years and when I discovered Bambuza, I fell in love w their Binh Ha sandwiches! Now, whenever I travel thru PDX, i stock up! Great Food! Great Service!

Due to a broken airplane I had the opportunity to eat a real breakfast here at PDX. Service was quick, and the people were friendly. I chose the breakfast bowl, which is kind of like a Vietnamese-fusion version of bibimbap. It’s a bowl of rice with scrambled eggs, veggies, properly cooked bacon(thanks for that, I hate my bacon crispy), and some sweet chili sauce. I dumped a ton of sriracha on it to give it a bite and all was good. All in all, it was a decent meal, and I would recommend it as a convenient, and pretty ok breakfast.

Meh, it’s an airport joint. There was quite a line when I was searching for some food to bring on the plane with me, so decided to try it. Went with the grilled pork vermicelli noodle + the egg roll. Fairly typical Vietnamese offering and hard to mess up, but man, the pork was like eating pork jerky. It was really tough to eat. The flavor was good though. It came with a small container of fish sauce, which was definitely needed since the egg roll was very bland. If you do crave Asian food at PDX, I think Bambuza is an option, but skip the egg roll, and maybe try tofu instead of meat protein.

The food truck is gone and along with it the great food and service. I asked for a chicken bahn mi and they rang up pork. I pointed this out to the person at the register and she said«OK». I continued to point this out twice to the person behind the counter and she smiled and said it’s coming. I ended up with pork. The last few times I was happy with the pork so I figured if I couldn’t explain what I wanted in three tried, the fourth try wouldn’t be any more successful. Sadly, this pork sandwich was particularly tough and I surrendered after about one third and tossed the survivor. While the menu board says jalapeño slices on request don’t rely on it. I didn’t ask for them but they were there. On a more positive note I added a couple of spring rolls and they were tasty with a tangy sauce. I hope they get back to their earlier quality because when they are on top of their game it’s very good and a great value.

The wonton soup sucks. The broth is super sweet yet you can still taste all the sodium in it. There’s mostly vegetables in it. Sad soup.0

For airport food it’s a solid choice. The prices are fair and the quantity is fair. The only thing that didn’t look very appetizing was their fried noodles but everything else looked awesome. I was so pleased to be able to have phở at an airport and it totally hit the spot. My bf had their honey glazed chicken with rice and it was yummy. My chicken in my phở was hearty and filling. They also have their own take on mimosas and bloody Mary’s.

Normally I would rather starve than have airport food, but I haven’t had any food all day, my flight was being delayed for 2 and a half hours, and I wouldn’t have time to eat until dinner time. Since I was too lazy to go to Pok Pok and then go through airport security again, I decided to grab a bite at Bambuza after hearing from a waiting passenger that the food was not that bad. I ordered the Beef Phở and aside from the noodles being a little hard/undercooked, it was not that bad. The broth seemed a little watered down and I had to add sauces to it for flavor. I didn’t see any cilantro, basil or sprouts at the condiments bar. Overall, not bad for airport food.

Portland airport capitalizes on their reputed food truck culture with airport satellites, where, at least, they appear cleaner. $ 6 for a large fairly authentic Vietnamese Bahn mi sandwich is worth a visit. The pork meat was a little greasy and just appropriately chewy but the flavor was mouthwateringly rich. Slowly, I realized a surprising mistep, a luscious taste, which had to be butter. Is that traditional? I felt tricked. I always assume asian meals are dairy free. I circled back to the menu after devouring my entire Bahn Mi and saw«house mayo» listed on the menu as an ingredient. I didn’t like that. Bowls, breakfast, Bahn mi’s and spring rolls. with most items are under $ 7. A storefront is opening soon in the same area. You could do a lot worse, and at an airport –not much better.
