Made an appointment with Rick, the owner for art reprinting and was stood up without a return call, explaination or apology.

The Atrium Print Studio is a fantastic resource for Portland artists and creative folk! I’ve been deeply engaged in the realm of canvas reproductions for the past decade and there is quite a range of skill, value and professionalism out there. In the past I’ve used both very small private operators and huge print houses to save a few bucks — but it never quite turned out as I had hoped… the small operators didn’t really know what they were doing(deadlines missed, technology misunderstood) and the big print houses blew through jobs so fast, they had an error rate of at least 30%(margins, pixelization, scuffed coating). Why bother with a hassle like that? When I first met Rick, I thought he might almost be too good to be true — - a dedicated professional at the helm of fantastic technology in a business that can devote personal attention to my projects AND be super reasonably priced. Its like finding a gold coin dispensing unicorn that trots along toward Treasure Mountain upon a path of glimmering lottery tickets… Sounds a bit far fetched, but — if you make anything that people want badly enough to buy it and hang it on their walls — Rick can definitely help you to build your own colorful path to Treasure Mountain. As an artist that can’t really afford to buy art, I can’t really say much about the gallery from a patron’s perspective other than it looking beautiful and spacious with much lovely art gracing the walls.

As a full-time artist, I owe a lot of my success to The Atrium Gallery and Print Studio. Rick, owner and operator, is a true patron of the arts– not just with the high quality of service and the beautiful final product, but at the price he offers it all is a true favor to any artist. All this coming from an artist with a demanding eye. I’m very VERY picky about quality when it comes to my art… and so is Rick! The print quality is flawless– colors true and vivid. The material used is of the highest quality– archival and long-lasting. And like I said– the price he offers this all is minimal– makes the difference between you being a starving artist or a successful artist. VALUE. Outside of the printing he does for me, I also love the product that he offers. The stretcher bars are perfect/sturdy/flush and the most affordable that I’ve found. He’s also offering clear bags, matting and backing for my paper prints at a price that can’t be beat. I lack the words to properly recommend The Atrium Gallery and Print Studio the way it deserves. If you’d like any further recommendation please feel free to contact me. Google«J Slattum», visit my site, and email me from there.
