WOW! I love this gym! Can I say that again! LOVEIT! It had the perfect ecosystem for me to get in an excellent workout while visiting South Padre Island for a family vacation. It’s not the biggest gym but it’s not the smallest either. The equipment is far more than adequate. I’d say a little over half of the equipment appeared newer and the other half was still in excellent working condition. There are mirrors covering just about every wall to help assist with your workouts. The music was on point! It was clean! The best part is the A/C wasn’t set to polar bear temps so you didn’t freeze your A$$ off. I see complaints on here about that. I don’t know about you but a gym that is set to artic temps just doesn’t cut it for me. I sweated like a pig… yes a pig and got the best workout in three days while there. If the price is a little high… well duh… it’s not a corporate gym and it has to survive somehow. $ 10 a day or you can do a pass for a few days. This for me was the epitome of the perfect gym. It has superb natural lighting, not those cruddy fluorescent lights found in most gyms. If you’re visiting the island and need a local gym… don’t miss out on this place. The owner is super super nice! Keep up the great work!!! P. S. How many gyms do you know that carry 100lb plates? Exactly!

First off I have been coming to this gym for almost 3 years. It started off well because it was the only gym in the area. As time when by and the gym under went new owners the gym changed for the worse. The price is insane for a gym like this size. It’s a very small gym with plain boring equipment. They don’t make people bring in towels and everything is always dripping with sweat. Also I didn’t like this place because it’s a gym for really old people who are very stuck up. The absolute worse thing about this gym is that they never turn on the A/C. The gym has big glass windows which allow the sun to heat the place up. On the good side they owner is a very nice guy who is willing to help out anyone.

This gym is pretty dirty. They simply will NOT turn the AC down. simple fix is install say 6 ceiling fans. place is sometimes I’d say 85 degrees inside. Paper towels gone alot… they don’t require you bring your own towel so overall it’s dirty. 95% guys working out there which is a testament to these facts. It is actually a NICE gym inside while cramped. Lacks supplements for sale beyond some protein. Water in cooler super fairly priced. Does not have 24 access… saturdays and sundays it’s like 9 to 2 or 3. It is way way too hot to work out here.

This is a really nice gym, with newer and good equipment. The short term price for two winter Texans was good, and the staff friendly and helpful. If you’re on the island, or in Port Isabel, this is the place to work out.
