Just ate at the Huron Athletic Club which is either a new name or its alternate name. We were welcomed in & all seemed fine. It’s a nice location. we ordered drinks and then waited. Waited too long for drinks. Then placed our order and waited. Again waited too long. Waiter was very confused as to who ordered what drinks. The waiter did not come back & check on us until we called him over to ask for refills. Soon after that the waiter came by to tell us that our order had been«lost» and that our order was now in & it would be coming up. We sensed something was wrong because the restaurant became very smokey. We had to ask the waitress to open the doors as our eyes were stinging. I think the smoke was a potential health hazard. Two hours after we first sat down we finally recieved our dinner. The food was edible but bland. The waiter offered free dessert for the long wait but we didn’t want to spend anymore time there. Instead we asked for a 15% discount. In response to this they offered a gift certificate. We declined as we will never eat here again. In the end they did not discount anything. I feel this was utterly horrible customer service. Something should have been comped due to the fact that they forgot our order and did not tend to us. Very very poor service!
