We had a large group in for a birthday celebration right before Christmas last December. Our server handled all of our needs perfectly! The sushi is always a must, if it’s your thing. Those that did not select sushi were also very happy with their meals. Burgers, sandwiches, salads and steaks! You name it, we loved it all. The beer selection is great as well! We’ve been back since then, and once again, very satisfied. The waterfront location is beautiful and we are always greeted with a welcoming ‘hello’!

Love this place! The wait staff is great every single time we go in. I am very picky when it comes to sushi and this place can definitely hold its own! Seaweed salad is amazing too!

Sushi. Straight up Hawaiian sushi… Best sea weed salad I’ve ate. Really good sushi. Sit at the bar and talk to Brett about anything. This guy is the best bartender in port Huron. He makes the experience a great one. Get you beer«faster than two shakes of a llamas tail». Just one line you will hear from Brett the ring leader of this sushi paradise.

The HAC these days appears to be a slightly mixed bag of nuts. For instance, when I last went there were four tables and two servers. My server was pretty knowledgeable and surprisingly absent. The other tables, tended to by a different server, had prompt service. The food was good. I had their sausage and beef burger, which was enjoyable. The table was dirty. A dirty table doesn’t leave me disgusted or unwilling to eat, but it does make me wonder who’s too lazy to clean a table. Well, I actually didn’t wonder that time. While we’re on the subject, though, why on Earth do so many recently opened restaurants in Port Huron employ staff who don’t keep the tables clean? If they are McDonalds or Arby’s, I’d understand. I guess the moral of the story is that your experiences here in specific and in our town will vary.

We sat on the deck and that was very nice. It took 20 minutes to get a waitress although there were 3 of them coming around. Food was ok. Nothing extraordinary but ok.

We were looking for somewhere to grab a late night bite to eat and came across this place. We walked in and asked if the kitchen was still open because it was 10pm. We were told by the bartender that yes, the kitchen was still open and to have a seat on the deck and someone would be right out. We sat there for 15 minutes while the bartender outside ignored us, the waitress inside kept looking outside while she wiped down all the tables inside and another staff member came out and talked to a large table of ppl that were out there as well. No one brought us a menu or asked us if we wanted anything to drink. Horrible experience and will never go again. Not a very good impression.

Great Service. Nice beer selection. Food met expectations. Would love for this location to have something stick.

Sushi was great! Both the rolls and the nigiri were surprisingly good, as was the seaweed salad. I say«surprisingly» because we only heard about it by a friends recommendation — no advertising for sushi out front, except for a passing mention on a chalk board which was crowded with MANY specials. HAC — promote your sushi and clear up your identity. As far as I can tell this restaurant seems to go by three names — Porto Cantina(?), Bistro 1882 and HAC. Confusion can’t be good for business.
