Great gifts. Well designed t-shirts. Fun store because they do sell animal feed and a lot of sophisticated local and well curated gifts. I loved looking around this store. Staff not incredibly friendly but great store. Definitely worth exploring!

The irresistibly adorable Toby’s Feed Barn is a non-negotiable point of destination for me whenever I find myself traveling up to Point Reyes Station. I was first introduced to Toby’s about a year or so ago by one of my close friends as we were making the drive to Limantour Beach. I fell head over heels for, can you guess? The carefully packaged variety of sour and gummy candy. Love! Also, for those of you who love salt water taffy, Toby’s has your fix. The fresh fruits and vegetables displayed on the outdoor stands are also worse a browse, the tangerines and apples make for a great beach snack! Inside you’ll find everything from charming home goods and decorations, comfortable Point Reyes shirts, caps, and sweatshirts, cookbooks, delightful postcards and more. All items make for great touristy purchases or gifts for loved ones. I miss you already Toby’s and I can’t wait to visit you again!

I had requested that an employee take a picture of an item, so that I could see if it was the same thing I’d seen a few weeks ago, while visiting the store. If it was, my intent was to buy it, either having them mail it to me, or drive there to pick it up. I live an hour plus away. The employee refused, but wouldn’t give a reason. I expected a quick camera phone shot sent as a text message. If they were busy at the moment — it wasn’t a rush thing. But this girl simply refused. I guess I just don’t understand what the problem was, nor think what I was asking was too much. Not impressed with the level of service. Exasperated with her response — just flat out refusing, I asked her why she was unable to take this picture — was it lack of internet connectivity or just — laziness. It was not due to laziness, she informed me. Seemed like laziness. And just plain — rudeness. I’ll shop elsewhere.

I don’t get to come here nearly enough, but when I do, I don’t want to leave. I bought my favorite T-shirt here I love the smell of the feed/hay(is that weird?) I like to look at the art work And when I’m done I always buy some candy… I have to, of course… Thems the rules

Love this spot. A welcome stop in gorgeous pt Reyes station for food food, and interesting trinkets gift ideas and a sweet delightful memory of pt Reyes. I like the shirts and yum food. Saturday the best farmers market happens. Must buy Brickemaiden breads. Mm mm mm the best.

Toby’s Feed Barn is a destination in little Pt. Reyes Station, so much so they once had pictures of Prince Charles&Camilla when they came to visit the Bay Area. Toby’s has cleaned up, even adding an art gallery. Currently, they have an exhibit about women, feminism and environmentalism, complete with an Omphalos, and a creative assemblage showing an eco-friendly way to garden using recycled bottles. They have an amazing array of food, including jams made in nearby Bolinas and American Canyon-based Marshall Honey with its special honey sourced from Mt. Tam wildflowers. They have San Francisco-based TCHO chocolates, and Rancho Gordo Beans from Napa(along with hot sauces) They also have a great selection of souvenir postcards and cards depicting Marin County. It’s a Marin one-stop shop with a yoga studio nearby, art, and locally sourced produce.

Toby’s is a tourist’s dream — and in that I expect that the locals probably don’t do much shopping here for anything other than feed. They’ve got a great selection of interesting edibles, local produce(if I’m remembering correctly), and even an art gallery in the back. The«feed barn» comes into play along the side and this literally does appear to be a place where people can buy feed for their farm animals. Attached to this is a small café and a tiny little hole in the wall where you can buy various bulk seeds of things like local wildflowers. A great place to come for gifts or a snack!

I wasn’t sure what to expect from a name like«Toby’s Feed Barn,» but I was pleasantly surprised by the cute, mom-and-pop feel of the store! They have a bunch of random items for sale, ranging from touristy items, to clothes, to bath salts/soaps/lotions, to greeting cards. They also have a wide variety of chocolates, taffies, nuts and other little snack items to choose from. Everyone was very friendly and I really liked the laidback vibe of the place. It didn’t seem as touristy as you might have thought it was, based on some of the items they were selling. Prices are a little steep for what you’re getting, but that’s not necessarily surprising in a tourist trap like Pt. Reyes Station. Still, the store is worth at least wandering through.

Your typical mom and pop general store… things are marked up so expect to pay a little more than you usually would. Cute, clean, and fits perfectly in the heart of Point Reye’s downtown. We ended up loving this children’s book that we found there… spent $ 45 on it(seriously) but found out I could’ve bought it on amazon for $ 30. Just to give you an idea of prices!
