Country View Apartments

I usually read reviews to get a sense of a place. The reviews for these apartments seem negative and are over a year old.
However it’s a pleasure to be here. There are no pools or hot tubs, but there is a trail behind the buildings that faces the golf course. The noise level is usually low. I rarely hear other peoples music and never hear talking from other apartments. There are various stores and places to eat and shop within 6 blocks.
I’ve never felt unsafe here. I have two cars and didn’t have any concerns about them.
THE APARTMENT: I saw several apartments before selecting this one. It is less expensive than neighboring complexes that have smaller rooms and significantly less than the similar two bedroom two bath apartments in the Brookside across the street. There is one floor plan. I like the sliding glass doors in the living room and one bedroom that open to my private deck. Both my bedrooms have windows that faces trees, so they are very private. The kitchen opens to the dinning area and living room. The heater and A/​C work well and are not loud. I have a full size washer & dryer in a small room off the kitchen.
THE NEIGHBORS: I have neighbors on one side. We aren’t friends however we respect each other. We have each others phone numbers in case we need something. Most people seem to keep to themselves and everyone has been nice.
THE STAFF: There is only one or two maintenance guys. Usually need to wait until the next day to have things fixed if it isn’t an emergency. The manager is the only one to call at night if you have a problem.
I haven’t had contact with other staff.
When you renew your lease they rent to you at significantly less than market rates.
Everything seems very good.

Lived here a few years ago. Pluses are that there are laundry hookups, and you’re away from the hustle and bustle of Contra Costa Blvd. Biggest minus is there are multiple owners involved.

This place sucks seriously.
The owner didn’t give a penny of my 1000 deposit back even after I hired a professional cleaning company to clean up the room completely. Actually she asked for more and kept saying she was estimating the total cost. Now it’s been two months since I travelled away from the US and she didn’t come up with an exact number. She is absolutely the WORST landlord I ever had in my life.
About Will’s review, I guess I have to say that he has a lot of things to discover. I would strongly suggest him to step back and reconsider if this apartment really worth a four star rating. An in n out store is a plus for this apartment but we do have lots of better options that are closer.
If you don’t want hassle, don’t want to go to court to get your deposit back, DON’T move to this apartment.

I am not sure what Mookie of Danville is speaking of with her experience. I had a different experience. I was able to contact the manager immediately for assistance and was given the number to the owner of my unit. A phone call was directly connected to her on 3^rd ring in which I was able to express my needs. Location is right up the road from the new In ‘n Out Burger joint coming in 2010, cannot wait to get my double double on. I can just run down and back to justify my whopping intake of deliciousness or take the scenic route around back by the golf course on the Iron Horse Trail to DVC and back.

In the beginning this was a nice place to live. As the months went, we noticed it wasn’t like that anymore. Promises that were made and not taken care of. Little by little, we knew we were not going to resign for another year.
Then we got a new manager.
You think that helped. No it didn’t. When something went out and the manager told me she would call the owner and see what she can do. I waited a few hours. So I ended up calling the owner myself. Guess what she didn’t know what I was talking about. The new manager didn’t mention anything about my problem. That pissed me off.
That was it. I had it. Time to find another place and just not look back.
