Plant City Cafe

I went in to order some sandwiches to go. It was a great experience! The entire staff was very friendly, chatted with me and the kids while we waited and had our order ready to go in a matter of minutes. I ordered primo cubans for the family and a large order of chicken noodle soup. OH. MY. LORD! The food was amazing! The cubans had just the right amount of meat and the flavor was so authentic. The honey mustard was fresh and you can taste it. It was perfectly pressed. The chicken soup was homemade as well and was delicious! My family will be visiting again, for sure!

So glad this place opened and we found it. Been there a few times now and ordered take out. The best black beans I have ever had. Wonderful service to. Nothing beats a small restaurant were the owners and staff truly care about playing their customers.

Finally Plant City has an excellent choice for some Cuban food. We tried the Plant City Café this evening for dinner. The two of us split a Greek salad… very good salad and Greek dressing and large enough for two to share. We both had entrees, I had the Palomilla Steak with yellow rice, black beans (fresh chopped onions), and an extra side of plantains. My wife had the ropa vieja, with yellow rice and plantains. Very very good! Portions were very good as well. Good fresh brewed ice tea.
Service was also excellent and very attentive! The cook came out and inquired as to how our meal was. He was also very polite and friendly.
It also sounds as if the Plant City Café has a wonderful lunch offering a cafeteria style lunch menu. In addition, their sandwich menu is something I look forward to trying.
Prices are very reasonable and we will be returning! Thanks for an excellent very casual dining experience!

I like the pork over yellow rice. It keeps me coming back. Prices are good, could use bigger portions.

The food here was wonderful when we went in the first time. The Pork and Cuban Sandwich are fabulous. The Greek salad was crisp and super tasty, topped with the classic potato salad.
We noticed they catered and decided why not give it a try for a 15^th wedding anniversary. I have to say I was ABOVE AND BEYOND impressed. Vinny was AMAZING to work with. We had the pork, black beans and rice, salad, bread and plantains. The food was reasonably priced, delivered promptly, and again Vinny went above and beyond for us. Everyone at the party raved about the food and I made sure to mention to everyone interested about the restaurant and the catering. I will be sending business their way anytime possible!

OMG! This Restaurant was such a wonderful surprise! i was in a group of 4, we each had a different menu item, and we were all so busy enjoying that we could barely talk. My cuban sandwich was perfect! very authentic and presentation was excellent, way above a «café». My daughter had a greek salad and half sandwich. such a beautifully presented salad and it had beets-​which Is the norm in northern greek restaurants but rarely seen here. the half sandwich was giant and did I mention the service? it was superb. we could not resist trying the desserts and OMG again-​the presentation was like we were at at 5 star restaurant and yummy yummy yummy. hubby had the apple dumpling, and it was gone before i could steal a bite but my lava cake was incredible and the pineapple upside down cake was… well, i have run out of adjectives. All i can say is «try it, you’ll like it» from front to back, menu to service, to décor and cleanliness-​this little jewel has it all. Tell them i sent you. You wont be sorry!

I love family own places to eat. The food so far has been very good. I have brought coworkers and family to eat here all at lunch time and the atmosphere has been refreshing. I’ve had the half Cuban with plantains, and I’ve had the Philly.
Both were amazing thanks to the chefs. The kitchen and its guys are always clean, trust me you guys get noticed and it makes a difference to a guest to know the food we consume is safe to eat.
Server staff you are very sweet and helpful the girls are always busy making sure the dinning area stays neat and tables cleaned.
LOVE the outside seating we have had some beautiful days and to get out of the office and sit in some fresh air is wonderful.
