Golden Chick

Stopped by because I LOOOOVE Golden Chick and this one is the closest to my home but I have never been to this location. I came in at around 7pm which i would consider dinner time. Got a Number 1 and 18 pc Wicked Wings which i suppose to include 2 drinks and 2 rolls but i only received one of each. The Manager/​Cashier stated the wings will take 12mins, which was fine I rather have fresh wings anyways. But when he asked me what sides I wanted there battered fries are amazing with Lotta Zing but they were out? so I just went for the mash potatoes. Waited for the food and the location felt so cold I had to go to my car and get a jacket for my daughter and I. Then when the food came out everything was steaming hot but SOO SALTY. there was no zing on my wicked wings, the Mash Potatoes was not good, the gravy was lumpy and it would leave a weird after taste. after eating half of my food wanted to get frozen yogurt and it was broken. Just seemed like this store had nothing ready or available. I will not be returning I will drive the extra mileage and spend extra time to a be at a better location or i will need to call in before coming in to order.

Ordered a 2 piece chicken dinner with french fries and a drink. The chicken and fries were very hot and juicy. It’s not my favorite chicken but it is good. The only issue is that it’s a little pricey.

Golden Chick is the veritable golden egg of fast food chicken places. Their tenders are the tenderest, fried foods the friedest, and gravy the gravyiest. The rolls however, according to rule, generally stay put and do not aspire to being the rolliest. Spicy is definitely the way to go and they actually sell their lotta zing seasoning separately, which I’ve wished I’d had with me on many non-​golden-​chick-​related occasions.

Absolutely love this place. If I checked in every time I was here Unilocal start paying me to advertise for this company. The staff know me!!!
It’s hit or miss
when it hits it hits hard and is great!!! Juicy tendars and perfect fries. When it misses, it’s pretty bad… dry tenders or super greasy tenders or not so good fries.
I like it so much I take the chance.
If you’ve never been before the tenders are kind of like chicken express which is also good and opinion.
Their spicy is good. It’s like serendipity at other places
Overall, a childhood favorite and to be honest they can mess up my order and I will still be back in a few weeks

The chicken is tasty but the batter isn’t crunchy. The mashed potatoes taste processed and like they came from KFC. The okra tasted burnt. The macaroni and cheese tasted… tasteless. The gravy had consistency thinner than water, which I didn’t know was possible. The only redeeming quality for Golden Chick is the Zing powder, or whatever it’s called. But honestly you could probably just do with some Tony’s.
The lady behind the counter wasn’t busy but was about as impolite as possible.
Good hangover food for the price, but I won’t be back (at least not to this location) as long as other chicken places are still open.

It’s another Golden Chick (which is a good thing, in my opinion). This one is located in a gas station, but those are just minor details.
If you’ve been to Golden Chick before, then you know what it’s all about.
If not, then get their chicken tender combo (No. 1) — that’s the good stuff. Tell them to make it spicy as well; it’s more for the extra flavor than spice. Their fries and bread rolls are good as well.
