This place is old school. Just like you were in China and picking up lunch on the side of the road. Not sure how they get the Chinese TV game shows on the widescreen in there.

This place is for truly Chinese style, since most American-Chinese restaurants have the taste what is not really what we like. Have a try, it is cheap and delicious!

One friend recommended me this Chinese cafeteria. The food there is authentic, not the American style, which mean it may be not so popular among American(but i think as a non-Asian, maybe you can have a try). I am a Chinese student and i like food there. A variety of dishes, like 30 entrees, are well-prepared and displayed for lunch and dinner. 4 entrees with a side of rice or noodle cost only $ 6, and soda and soup are free. It really like Taiwan Café, but i like it more, because the drink is free, it accept card or cash(i need to prepare cash to pay in Taiwan café every time…), the owners are very nice. This place may be not a ideal place for dating or big parties, lol, but it’s perfect to grab a to-go meal before work or class, or have a dinner there after work or class. By the way, this restaurant caters for events. Last time, it catered for a school event.

This place is best described as Chinese soul food. It’s * extremely * ethnic and authentic. This is no American version of Chinese food, this is the real thing. I asked where the influence was from and they told me S.E. China. There seemed to be some Chinese expats in there enjoying themselves but they are quite culturally synchronized, after all. For everyone else, I would not recommend this place unless you are very, very brave. No kidding. I had two familiar things and went out on a limb on two other choices. I liked the seaweed but did not like the Chinese hard-boiled eggs. All-in-all I appreciate what the owners are doing and I made the most out of leaving my comfort zone but I don’t see a return visit.
